Mystery tree

Took a short cut on errand today and this tree got my attention enough to turn around and go back for photo. I'm pretty good at IDing most of the plants around here but this one is a mystery to me. Anyone know what it is?

Good guess but no it's not a peach. I know what they look like as we have many peach orchards in the area. This one has bright red blooms; peach blooms are more pink. Love the shot of yours.

Or maybe some type of apple or crab apple tree? Or redbud? I don't know lots of trees - but it looks like lots of pink flowering trees I've seen - including the northern magnolia (does anyone in the south have a northern magnolia?)

There are red blossomed peach trees - but I think it's probably a crape myrtle: http://www.crapemyrtlefarms.com/crape_myrtle_1.htm

Crape myrtles are not yet blooming here yet . I didn't know there were red peach blossoms. Will check that out and the flowering cherries; come to think of it, the Japanese cherry trees are blooming at a downtown park - think they are white. Good excuse to go the park tomorrow.

kind of looks like a redbud to me - are there any bunches of flowers popping out on the trunks? if so it is probably redbud - if not it still can be. I never saw one till last year when our whole town, in southern Indiana, bloomed in the spring. even had a bunch in our woods.

My vote is for an ornamental cherry tree. I used to have one beside my driveway. Beautiful and messy when the blossom petals fall!

Stop and ask the owner. Will probably be happy to boast of that beautiful tree :D

I'm voting for Flowering Crab(apple). We have one in front of our local library than my mother-in-law donated. Looks the same to me.
