Linda, sounds as though you have found a perfect summer job. You aren't too far from Sebastopol CA where I have visited friends several times. I love the area especially on over to the coast, Bodega Bay!!! I didn't venture too far inland though especially in summer as too warm for me. I hope you can get all your repairs finished soon.

Just stoking the fire...Well made my first reservation for a 2 nighter May 1 & 2 up at Shabonna Lake SP. Heading up to the dealer in the AM to get it de-winterized and then to Shabonna.

Fingers crossed that it gets warm(er) than it is now since it's been below normal. Trying in May will also give me 5 weeks to try hitching, unhitching and backing up. If I can't do those, I'm not going anywhere!!

If you're coming thru Illinois at that time, better stay off I-80 and 39-51, that will be my route

I really like Bodega Bay also. No hookups but my grandkids love the beach. Will most likely be going there next winter or spring of 2016.

Hi everyone - yep we're still doing fine. We are finally in Arizona. Got here a week ago. Bill is watching TV and I was sitting here on the computer just wasting time. I happened to go back to the first Campfire page - August 2008. Anyone been keeping tract of the bottles of beer?
Surprised how many people are still posting, but also lots of names of people we no longer hear from. I guess lots of posters now use Facebook. But makes me wonder where some of them are.
Our friend says it was snowing at home yesterday - here it is HOT - 90 something today.
Be interesting to find out how the Tuff Skin works on the roof. We had it put on our front end - instead of a bra. Works great there.
Continue to post the blog almost daily.

Hi Carol! I'll be in the Phoenix area on Saturday - planning to go to Portillo's for Chicago Italian Beef with Ava on Saturday. If you and Bill are in the area would love to see you. I'll be heading up to Winslow on Sunday.

it's hot here!!! been reading some of the postings and how cool it is and I find myself being envious
today it was 97 yep both in and out!!! I had a meeting so left Shadow on the leash one he can go quite a ways
so he could get under the rv and as well into the shade...it was also breezy sure wondered if I was doing the right
thing but alerted Mark to my being gone and that Shadow was on his leash and asked him if Shadow got upset if he
would come over and let him in must not have gotten upset as he was still out when i got home..although glad to see
me wasn't really eager to go inside....
part of me wishes that I could head out.... more do to heat than to being alone....I think on Weds I will be the only one left here in my corner of the world the place that has the karaoke and pot luck look like their truck was hitched up seems like many of them are leaving way early
this year
Carol what part of AZ are you in?

Cheryl, you will do just fine in the hitching, unhitching routine. We all get those first time jitters. And there are always people in the campground willing to help out if needed. During the years I worked summers at the state park, I watched newbies come and go, experts back in on a dime and also some stupid stuff. Campgrounds are very entertaining, especially watching people get their rigs on their sites

Cheryl remember to put Bounce dryer sheets in the storage bins and inside your tt... they help keep the ants and other crawling insects out... this is not a joke it is the truth... It must be something they put in Bounce not sure what it is but it works!

Feeling a little down in the mouth today. DH and I went over to see friends' new puppy and out to dinner but I'm still feeling low. Brother is trying to hide all of my mother's accounts to keep them for himself. Tomorrow I talk to a lawyer. Never thought he would stab me in the back like this.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

I hope you can work things out with your brother Kathy. I had the same problem with my 4-years-older brother. As executor of my mother's estate, I'm sure he cheated me. His wife, my sister-in-law, substituted some much smaller diamond earrings in place of the larger ones my mother said I should get along with the rest of her jewelry. I have not spoken to either my brother or his wife in 15 years. I think it's good you're seeing a lawyer. I should have, but was in such a bad state due to my parents' deaths and that of my son I just couldn't muster the strength. Don't let him take advantage of you.

Oh Kathy, that is such a shame about your brother. Boy, the introduction of $$$$$ sure changes peoples personalities. Hope things go OK after seeing a lawyer. lyn

Kathy, I watched a couple of my mother's brothers attack her when she was executor of my aunt's estate. My aunt had nothing but lots of trinkets/garbage. My mother is one of the most honest people I've ever known - and yet they kept after her and ruined their relationships with her and the rest of the family. You are in the opposite position - but are the one being honest - and it hurts to have family betray you. Hang in there - hugs to you - and do what you need to do to get through this.

Hang in there, Kathy. I'm still going through the same thing with my brother, and it will take a full lawsuit to settle it (darn, litigation takes a long time!). If this stuff was on television, people would be tuning in for the weekly dose of melodrama! I'm so glad you're sticking up for yourself! Hugs!
