Sunshine Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wow, where is everybody? Only 3 of us here yesterday. Thanks for stopping by for Coffee, JudyJB and Sarah. :D See you are already thinking next winter's places Judy. Most of us are trying to get out from under this one  But you are smart in thinking ahead as FL has been extremely busy this year. Same reason I made my summer reservations in Yellowstone/Grand Tetons. Know things are going to take off before long.

Cheryl, isn't this your play around with new toy weekend? Have fun. I'm hoping to be able to access my storage bay in my TT his week to kind of inventory it and see if I need anything prior to trip. Don't think so, but want to be sure. Trip is 8 weeks off, but that time can fly with trailer dewinterizing, bearings checked/re packed, spring yard work etc. once the weather finally straightens out.

RV show in Traverse City this weekend. Haven't decided if I want to go. Small show, not a lot of rigs, but kind of fun anyway, being out among like minded people. Can you tell I have bad case of hitchitis

Dishes are calling in the kitchen, so time to get a move on. Have a wonderful day ;)

It's a beautiful day here in Colorado. Sun is out and the sky is blue. I hope it is a lovely day wherever the rest of you are!

Good morning
The cold front that blew thru here sure dropped the temps; down to 30 last night and will be in the upper 20s next two nights. However the sun is out so that at least makes it look more inviting outside.
I posted latest info about Nicky in the pet section last night. Will update that next week as I learn more about condition/treatment.
Plan for the weekend is mostly sort mail, pay bills, set up 2015 files and work on 2014 taxes. Not much fun but has to be done.
Hope you have something more exciting planned for your weekend.

Good grief winter has returned. I looked out yesterday and huge white things that looked like feathers were everywhere. It took me a few seconds to realize it was snowflakes, the biggest I've ever seen and it was coming down hard. The ground was warm so it didn't stick but it was fascinating to watch.I think this is winters last blast so going to get Elsie out next week and take her in for spring inspection. Carolyn posted an RV101 about 5 important spring checks to make so I'll feel better having that done. here is the link for those who don't do FB. http://rvingwithmarkpolk.com/2014/03/24 ... ng-checks/

Off to yoga class in a bit and a friend asked if I wanted to go to a dance recital tonight..well, not really but something to do and I like to spend time with this friend as we always laugh a lot when we are together.

Mitzi is chewing on a bone that she has had since a puppy and I can't believe how much noise she is making. On no, she had to go bark at some danger outside so Toby swooped in and took her bone. He isn't so loud though. :)

I just saw Sarah's post so will go see what the vet said about her sweet Nicky.

Good morning,

Cool temps here but clear & it should be warming up later today. Love seeing the flowering trees & even had to cut my grass once already.

Yep, Sue, your hitchitis is showing. Can't wait to hear about your adventures with Molly. :D

Hope Nicky is feeling better this morning - 'cause we all know if Nicky feels better, Sarah will too.

BJ, thanks for that link. I've had the van out for a few weeks now - guess I'd better do some of those checks before any long trips. Need to get it in for its annual oil change too.

Well, my darling daughter is on her way back to Paris for the week. She & the certain young man she met last time have been in touch constantly since her last trip. I know he is now the main attraction rather than Paris itself - but its probably good they figure this out sooner rather than later. If they still like each other after this week, we'll all have a chance to meet him this summer as he is enrolled in a English program in Redondo beach. At the moment, she's living every girl's dream. :D

Still working on clearing out the clutter in prep for heading out to Cali in Sept. Getting more & more excited about the new adventure - just hope work will figure out how they want me to handle it - work remotely, take a leave, or retire. :? I'd prefer to keep working a bit longer, but hey, the new baby is going to win out no matter what work wants. Trying not to push it - but I am cleaning out file cabinets & desk drawers in the meantime.
Well, son just texted that granddaughter has a gymnastic meet so I'd better get going.
Safe travels everyone.

good morning ladies
I do read mc often but also do not always post. I like to keep up with ya'll.
The agenda for today, of course is laundry and then I have a whole list of things to get done. (mostly to keep my mind busy) But I'm
getting close to my data limit and I've got 4 days to go yet. Never thought I'd ever get close to 10g a month but with all the mapquesting, searching, and research on my computer virus's/trojans, and of course downloading what I needed to fix things.....lots of data usage this month.
Kitty has finally decided life was back to normal and doing the "let me out again" thing. She's a happy kitty, doing lots of purring
these days.
Time to finish up with my coffee and catch up on a few other posts, then gotta get busy. Ya'll have a great day, be safe and hope you
have good weather.

Good morining to everyone! I just got up a little while ago, hardly ever sleep that late! So working on my first cup of coffee! Sue, you sound like you're ready to head out! At least you know the cure for hitchitis! Sarah, glad you have a plan for Nicky. Hope he starts feeling better soon.

BJ, thanks for the link to the spring checks! I'd just like to be able to get to that point! Woke up to a skiff of snow on everything this morning. Will it ever stop!? We had a couple of warmer days this week but cold nights. Still need to wait, I think! Soon, it will come!

I need to do some housekeeping today. Started to clean the kitchen floor yesterday and the somehow or another I spent the afternoon cleaning out and rearranging a couple of cupboards. Still not sure how that happened! The floor still needs cleaned! But feels good to get another project done. I'm trying to get rid of stuff! I've got a pile of papers starting in my office for shredding with more to add to it, I'm sure! Why do I keep this stuff?! Guess it seemed important at the time! Now, not so much!

Ok, time to get this day started and decide, besides the floor, what I'm going to get into! Grands are at their Dad's this weekend so may try to get over to see them for awhile. Need to call to see what their plans are. Have a good day and stay safe if you are on the road.

Good morning gals!

Haven't been on here for several days as I didn't have internet connection. Was switching from one provider to another and had some major issues getting hooked back up (morons at work on their end! ).

I think if I can pay $300 per month on my Jeep, I will have it paid down enough by September that I can sell it outright and then buy another vehicle. So that is my next plan...

Got more snow the other day but is mostly gone now. Is starting to warm back up and will be almost 70 on Wednesday with thunderstorms! Yay! That should do some damage to the ice on the lake. Can't wait for that to finally go out so I can try out my new kayak!

Heading off to work here soon. Hope you all have a good day and be safe!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I am all computer excited this morning. I went to university salvage yesterday with a friend who was looking for an extra monitor, and they had a nice little Dell desktop really cheap. (Have I mentioned that uni salvage is a dangerous place?) I brought it home to use in the sitting room as an entertainment computer -- but gosh, it's so much faster than my current computer! I think I'll switch my Windows 8.1 license to it and use it as my main computer. Thrill and delight!! Then I can put a beta version of Windows 10 on the older computer. Well, as soon as I figure out how to unpack an .iso file, that is.

None of that will happen today, though, because the sun is shining and the temperature is acceptable! I'm out and about in the sunshine.

I'm here! Finally was able to turn off the AC because a cold front went through yesterday, which I am really happy about because the upper 80s and lower 90s are gone for a week or so. It has been sweltering HOT here! Last night was blissfully chilly--down to 57 outside and cool enough inside that I slept almost all night, which is amazing with me. I like to cuddly up under covers, which I was finally able to do last night. There was heavy rain and strong winds yesterday afternoon, just about the time I was out getting my RV washed at Blue Beacon. At least I had the Rain-Ex treatment, so it is still pretty clean. Total of $46 is a real bargain.

Sue, it is even worse than planning for next winter. I am planning for the winter after that! Next winter will be in California, Nevada, and Arizona, with my California kids, and I have really made no reservations out there for then. But because it has been so crowded here in Florida this winter, I thought that maybe in fall 2016, I would come to Florida in early October so I could get some state park reservations in the Keys when it was not so packed and possibly wetter so there would be more birds. It was very dry in the Everglades this winter so bird were not hanging around their usual places. I might head back to California in January or February 2017.

And Beth, I do occasionally change my plans, but I do so much research ahead of time (which I enjoy doing) that I am usually pretty sure where I want to go and what I want to see ahead of time. It has been great being able to get these three COE lock and dam campground sites this year, but they only open six months ahead of time. They are well worth the effort because they are cheap, very well maintained, and there is always something interesting to watch going by on the river. (Check out my posting in the recommendation area.) On the other hand, I have no reservations at all after my trip to New England this summer and the Canadian Maritimes this fall. I will pretty much wing it back to California for Christmas because it will be easy to get campsites in late October through whenever. Probably will make reservations for January or February in Arizona, however, because that is high season there.

Got a loaf of bread rising and almost ready to go into the oven. Going to take it with me as a gift when my cousin picks me up in an hour or so. I am headed over to see their new house and do some laundry and printing.

Have a good day, everyone! I will be enjoying the first cool and non-sticky weather in a month. Got my windows open right now for the cool breeze.

Good Morning,

Have tried to keep up with posts! Sarah, glad to have updates on Nicky and hoping for good things. Would be happy to send some of these 90 degree temperatures to any of you!

We have been having such a grand time riding and going out to eat (too often) with friends who are here. We are usually 3 couples, but for some reason the other couple hasn't been interested. Thursday we trailered the machines a couple hours from here and then road up into the mountains to Crown King, AZ - an old mining area. Great ride!! Stayed in a lovely little inn where the owner couldn't have been nicer. Checked in, left to go to dinner, found the restaurant had 2 things on the dinner menu, ready to go somewhere else and friend's quad wouldn't start! Yesterday morning the guys rode back down to the trucks, brought the truck up via 'main' road to load quad and we went back to get L's truck. So, we missed the 2nd part of the mountain ride, but thank goodness the breakdown happened where it did! Gave Marcia and I a chance for a good girl visit!!

Have major things to do before I leave here - aiming for Wednesday.

Safe travels to all on the road! Happy preparations to all those getting ready!

Today is my Monday - but also my last Monday here at Chiricahua - as it's my final 4 days camphosting, then I'll be on the road again. (Anita, Looks like you and I will both be on the road Wed!)

Judy, I hope you know that I wasn't saying your way is at all wrong. I actually am very impressed with it - just will probably never be something I do :)

I try to check all the forums at least once a day - but don't always post - like now, nothing really much to say.

Have a great day, all.
