you would think I would learn!!!! and listen to that inner voice saying you should get propane!!! it said it and I didn't...now I'm out
and it is cold here on the desert!!! I have two tanks that are in a area and hook up to the stove, frig, and furnace...another 9 gal tank
that I use for the fireplace which is what I use for heating..so I kept one in the area for the frig ect and the other two for the fireplace...
when the 9 gal emptied I thought winter had ended and wouldn't be needed WRONG!!! and I had put the now full 7 gal where it belonged
when the one was empty took the full 7 gal one over and now the 7 gal is empty...I am thinking of storing the 9 gal here instead of taking it North
so don't want to leave it with much in it so trying to decide what to do guess no choice will fill the 7 gal and probably the other one as well
hate to run out of the propane for the frig stove ect..yes I could use the furnace ect but it uses power and when not plugged in ...but right now the genny is running guess I could warm of the place for a bit....not sure it would do a lot though...will just cool off and I'll be back to square one...

They are very tiny on the photo but with the magnifying lens, it does look like the markings of the porpoise rather than the orca. Darn! Oh well, I have never seen those either, so still cool, but not as cool as a whale pod would have been.

Well, I've found two more MH's to go look at both quite close so my mechanic can go look at them with me. BJ found me one on FB and it was a nice one, but unfortunately the seller sold it this afternoon and I couldn't have made it out to where it was until Sunday. He did let me know tho, that it was sold and that was nice of him. So many sellers don't even bother or take down their ads, it gets really frustrating. Keep your fingers crossed, gals!

On another note, Cheryl's bringing her new Colt here to stay awhile! So I get to see her first!

Warm here today for the campfire, but it was a GOOD DAY! No first robin siting yet (heard them tho), but today hundreds of sand hill cranes were overhead. Love that you can hear them before you see them.

Spring is here! Hopefully no surprise snow from now on.

Summerlike weather, here in Apache Junction, AZ It looks like others, here, should be finally getting a taste of spring. Myrtle is still in the shop, getting her new roof. I checked on her, today, and they told me she should be ready Tues. The replacement skylight should be here on Monday, so I'm supposed to take it in on Tues and they will put it on for me. I have an awning guy working on finding a used spring for my awning and he will fix it while it's off. I think I told you that I'm going to do a little remodeling. I already took off the window dressings in my bedroom. I bought some lace curtains at a park rummage sale, today, and I'm going to put up vinyl pull shades. Been trying to decide on a paint color for the walls. I want to take out the bed and get a smaller, adjustable bed frame and memory foam mattress. I want to rip out the carpet, too, and have Rick help me install some type of flooring. I also want to do something different in dining/living area, but not sure what, yet.

Rick is almost here He's up near Flagstaff and I'm going to see him on his way through Phoenix, on his way to Tucson. When Myrtle is ready, I'll head down to Tucson. We have found our summer workamping jobs, near Napa, CA We're both excited! I've been wanting to tour wine country and spend more time up there. Rick is bringing his motorcycle, so we should have some nice rides on our days off. We are waiting for our interviews for Amazon for this fall.

Linda, nice to see you posting again. Missed them. Sounds like you are going to have a bang up of a summer. What kind of roof are you getting for Myrtle? Remodeling sounds great. Be sure to post pics.

I"m sitting here looking at campground web sites in Yellowstone area. Have narrowed down to two, Grizzly RV Park or West Yellowstone KOA. Both look good. Shouldn't be a lot of families in KOA in early June I would think. Nice walking trails for dogs too. Had also looked at one out of town, Yelowstone Holiday RV Park and Marina. Right on Hedgen Lake But about 13 miles from park entrance. Once I set reservatins for out there, then I can work backwards to SD and the Keystone area. Such fun.

Linda, where are you workcamping near Napa? My son lives and teaches there with his wife and family. I won't be there until late Fall, however, but I plan to spend Christmas in the area. My favorite campground is the Napa EXPO which is part of the county fairgrounds.

A great car or motorcycle ride is the Rutherford Grade, except you should take it from Sonoma to Napa instead of the other way around. Bodega Bay is good for camping also.

The roof is Tuff Skin, like what they spray in truck beds, but beige. It has been quite an ordeal I took Myrtle in over 2 wks ago. They had told me they needed her for the week. Communication between each other, and with me, is poor. I went in this morning and talked to the owner's cousin and expressed my dissatisfaction. He stayed on top of it all day and called me almost hourly with updates. He assured me that it would be done tomorrow. I hope the awning guy can still work me into his busy schedule, tomorrow. I'm hoping to head down to Tucson this weekend. Not sure how long I will be able to boondock, though, with the hot forecast and dogs.

I did get together with Rick, in Tempe, on Sunday. We met at the Desert Botanical Center. It was so nice to be together again We had fun, checking out the place, then we went to a pub for a beer and lunch. Rick is staying at Catalina SP and building a closet for his aunt, in Tucson.

The job in Napa is at R-Ranch by the lake. http://rranch.info/ I will be working in activities and Rick will be working security and maintenance. We can get a trail card after taking several guided trail rides on their horses. Then, we will be able to just check out horses and go without a guide. I would love that! Could be some romantic picnics in our future We have to be there not later than May 1st. I'll have to try to remember that ride, Judy. Thanks!

Thanks Linda I had not really heard of Tuff Skin but it looks similar to the Rhino which I'm very interested in due to it's low maintenance requirements. The R Ranch sounds like it will be an adventure as well as a job.

I am jealous about your new workamping job! I would love to be able to go horseback riding out there! Do you just get your site for the work or do you get paid too? Sounds like you will have a very fun, romantic summer ahead! Enjoy!

I have to work for pay, as well as my sight, whenever I can. It's my living! The paid jobs are harder to find in the winter, so that is why I sometimes volunteer for my site. This assignment is going to pay us and provide us a site to share between both of our RVs. Perfect! We also get free propane and uniform shirts. All of the perks offered to the ranch owners will be available to us, including the horses.

I got Myrtle back...finally! I have to take Penny in tomorrow morning. I had a local awning guy fix my awning, and I noticed that there is a place on the edge of the roof that needs to be touched up...GEESH!!! It seems like this is dragging on forever! I'm sure Rick is wondering if I'm still going to meet him in Tucson. He is almost finished with his work, there.

I spackled the bedroom, today. Ken and I took out the sofa and I ran an ad on Craigslist and got it sold, already. I'm really itching to get going on my updating!
