Well, guess that plan just got shot to he!! and back.....I'll be in Moab from 4/2-4/13 or 14 and then Laughlin 4/21-27.
Danggggg! I absolutely love Silver City and was looking forward to seeing it again. If you get the chance, go up and see the cliff dwellings, too. It's the only one I've ever been to that you could actually walk around in. And there's a fantastic tour of the open pit mine, one of the largest in the US, but you have to make a reservation for that, too. Never even knew that there was a wolf sanctuary there or I for sure would have gone to see it.

Guess I'm gonna have to make the trek up to North Rim to see my Sparkly Girl....sigh. Hopefully I'll get to see you on your way back from Alaska...any idea of a time frame for that one?

Evie and I are going to Stateline to see if we can gain a couple of pounds at the buffets and lose a couple of bucks at the slots on 29-30th, so I'll talk to her about a road trip to North Rim and see what we can come up with, depending on when you're coming out of no man's land and our schedules. I NEED A ROAD TRIP IN HOPE WITHOUT THE BF!!!!!

Sharon, I'm not making any California promises on my trip back - but I do plan to go visit Sparkle at the north rim - so maybe you should plan a Sept trip to there, too :) Sorry we couldn't meet up again in NM, but we will be getting together again.

Sparkle, my friend, I may have done a mule ride but there is no way you're getting me on a plane to tour the big hole! Go, have fun, post pictures!

I talked to Excel yesterday and she expressed interest in a road trip to North Rim also and I told her it would be either June or Sept depending on what was going on. Need to talk to Evie, see when she's free and I'll do that next w/e. I'll actually be at North Rim on Sept 5th, but I'll be with the bike group. We're staying at the lodge there. I'll wave as we go by! Leaving on the 6th for Sedonia. Home on the 8th. Then I'm booked into Doheny Beach with my jeep club 20th-24th.

Donna, you hear this? Start making your own coffee in the AM and put the money you spend on that non-fat caramel machiatto or whatever the heck it is you drink from Starbucks in a jar for some gas money!!!!

Beth, I know, no promises on the trip to SoCal, but a gal can wish can't she? What will be, will be, and if not that time, another time.

Looking ahead to June, I'm planning my return trip from TX to CA via Silver City and North Rim. Had hoped to see flamingogirl in NM and the gals at the N. Rim. I will be back in Austin from San Miguel on the 14th and thinking about heading west on the 17th or 18th. Would that time range work for anybody else?
