I'm thinking about heading West to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills etc. Was trip I was thinking of doing last summer, but with older dog not up to traveling like that, nixed the idea. Not sure if I will go in May or August. Anybody going out that way? Also still planning on going into Michigan's Upper Peninsula as I said before.

this is a good topic, like Lyn, I like to know what others plan, and if I can get their way could be a possible meet up. I, so far, plan to go to visit two of my sons, one(stepson) in west Mo and other in Co.. Then from there no definite plans but oh so much running around in the brain I want to do,  Thinking and hoping Sheila, I might get your way, to meet you and also visit your home area. I have not seen the Tetons. But also want to revisit some areas I have been too and enjoyed so much, but we shall see. Beth, you are in one of the areas I love and hope to get back to. Like Judi, love being in my RV and when I go back to clear up the mess in NC, plan to just stay in here, and not be there any longer then necessary.

I'll be checking this thread to see where some are, good topic,

CArol :)

I would love to be following, traveling with or meeting up ...with you traveling gypsy ladies...but as of now I have no travel plans...as I can not go far or long in order to keep my eye on dad...wish my sister was able to come and stay around for the summer so I can go...and another thing I have to figure out how will I be able to spend the summer here..it is just way to hot for me...sometimes I feel like my retired life I slipping by me...not that I want anything to happen to dad.. I just wish he would put forth a little more effort to make life easier for me and him...but if I was able the trip CArol out west sounds like a wonderful trip...and anyone headed up the east coast to the north would be good too..these would be my wish list.. I would not want to push myself on anyone tho... but I sure miss the gypsy companionship of you girls...some times I go days with out talking to a single person..good thing Maggie likes to talk   ...so that's it so far...nothing...but I will be ready to hear about your travels... donna

Some of our plans are uncertain and some not. tGM talked me into a repositioning cruise from Ft Lauderdale to Northern Europe. It is 23 days and we disembark in St. Petersburg, Russia after stopping in various cities along the way. Getting a Russian visa has not been easy and we haven't finished the process yet. I'm trying to get tickets for the French Open in Paris since we will already be in Europe but can't buy til 3/11 so what we do after the cruise is unknown. We will eventually fly back to Sarasota and head toward Seattle in the MH. tGM was suppose to do a guys only fishing trip in Alaska, but somehow we wives (3) got suckered in and so now it is 10 days there and then back to Seattle for our trip east thru Canada and down to FL. carold

I will be here in Florida until about July 21st. At that time I will head to North Carolina to the Mile High DOG at Cherokee. It is Saturday, July 25th at Mile High Campground off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Sept. Dave and I will be at T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park or St. Joe for short. We'll be camp hosting there.
Oct we will go to Davis Bayou at the Gulf Islands National Seashore in Ocean Springs, MS, and then on to two DOGs, one in Alabama and one in Tenn. Planning to head back to Florida the end of Oct.
Would love to have a gtg with anyone in the area!

This will be be my second trip of extended travel, though last yr. I had a workamper job and stayed in one place. I am not taking a Wkamper job this summer. I am thinking about heading west in June to California and spending time in Chico (north of Sacramento) then on to Ft. Bragg (Hwy 101) to see some folks I met at Q. From there I would like to travel to Oregon, especially the coast, then on to Washington. Have a friend that has reservations at Glacier in late August and would like to join her there. I have not planned an extensive trip like this and would invite suggestions for planning my stops along the way. I am not planning on towing my car. I would like to travel as inexpensive as possible when it comes to staying in rv parks and such. Do y'all do you homework ahead of time and find state parks and such to stay in? When I traveled to Az. this winter I realized I didn't plan my stops very well and that trip was really nothing compared to this trip. I am also going to purchase some kind of GPS as I don't currently own one. It would have been helpful on my trip to Az.
