It's Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Saturday

Postby Colliemom » Sat Mar 14, 2015 6:45 am

Morning all,

Couldn't think of a better title this morning  but it is Saturday, so..... You can tell things are really exciting around here.

Bout the only excitement is going to be resuming my spring cleaning since mom nature is going to throw a few snow showers around today. Then back to trip planning. Sheila, I got your answer to my PM, will get back to you.

Donna, hear you on the stick and brick issue. I think reason you are depressed is cause you need to get back to PA and get it on the market, but can't. I feel same way some days. Would like to dump this place too and have thought of going with a condo in the U.P. But decided against it. Still would like a base place, but smaller and more manageable. Alice, glad to hear you are back home. Seems everybody else is in "same old" routine right now.

So guess I'll just mosey along here. Enjoy your weekend everybody :D

good morning Sue and all...another beautiful warm day here in Central Florida...I think Maggie and I will go to a few yard sales and then pick up a few groceries have to take her home first too hot in a car...its not my house its giving me fits I was able to get my house on the market last fall...my dads house he wants to stay in it live in dependence but doesn't want to do anything except sit around and I no longer can do any of that have a household chores and repair because of my spine...it's very frustrating he needs to sell it and move into a place where they take care maintenance and such thing... he also told me he's not going to hire anyone to do anything....so anyway off my soapbox again and off to some yard sales have a fun filled day and B safe

Well Good Morning! We’ve had beautiful weather this week…in the 70’s. Kids have been out riding bikes, the park is swarming with little ones and shorts and flip flops have been pulled out of the closet. Adults are holding their breath because we know that Mother Nature will make her last hurrah sometime and we’ll have a storm that brings ice and heavy wet snow. Hasn’t been that many years ago that the prom had to be cancelled because of a blizzard.

We have a wedding to attend today. Ashley’s sister is getting married and both she and Ryan are in the wedding party. That puts DH and me on Bronc duty during the wedding and reception…we’ll be skipping the social hour and dance and bringing Bronc home with us for the night. My suggestion was that we should skip the wedding and just keep Bronc at our house because the wedding is at 2:00 right during his nap time, but they want him there for pictures and the wedding. I’m having visions of him seeing mom and dad walking down the aisle and starting to scream and crying MOMMA or DADA during the entire ceremony! The wedding is in a beautiful mission church in the reservation at Marty SD. http://www.parishesonline.com/scripts/h ... 6&ID=12787 but there isn’t a cry room if we need it. I just may be outside during the wedding or better yet put him in his car seat and driving around!

So with that little tidbit of information I will end my weekly post and try to get something accomplished before I have to get ready to go. You know…I hate being invited to stuff anymore….I’m like every other female…what the heck am I going to wear. My “marry ‘em and bury ‘em” wardrobe is looking pretty out of style.
Have a great week.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Off to get the car loaded and start enjoying the day.

Not morning any more but busy for me. Irmi's home park here has yoga classes @8:00 AM. I woke up at 8:00 rushed over to watch - don't know anything about yoga but want to learn. Don't think I can get up and down on floor but lady says there are exercises one can do using a chair or standing. Irmi will show me some of those tomorrow.
An hour or so later rushed back to feed and walk Nicky. Then Irmi & Steve needed to go to grocery so went with them and also stopped at a roadside produce stand. By time we got back it was after 11:00 so just skipped breakfast and had some cottage cheese and a tomato for lunch. Still have to limit time in sun due to medication I'm on so will hibernate for a few hours unless I get ambitious and do a load of clothes. Tonight is karaoke and I'm told Irmi is the star of the show - not going to miss that for sure.

And, Pat, you'll be the one they'll be staring at when he starts screaming lol But please, have your last hurrah of winter weather up there before I get there - not when I get up there like last year! I'm okay with things warming up early, really, I am.

Today is my Monday - only two more of them before I head north. How time flies. And it's time to go see if all the check-outs are gone ... We have a completely full cg for days and days - only way a site opens is if someone doesn't show or leaves early. Have two people that were here last night on a list for any that happens with today - and already had someone come to me for one for tomorrow!

Off I go.

Pat, I'm laughing at your "marry 'em and bury 'em" wardrobe. That's too funny and too close to the truth for me too. I feel the same way, please don't invite me to anything. A while back I was looking for a plain simple black dress that wasn't made out of stretchy knit. I wanted one with short sleeves and any I liked were sleeveless. I guess I could make one but I'm not that ambitious.

Tomorrow is the Cattle Women cake bingo so I have made 3 pans of brownies and 2 cakes today. I'm sick of cake. I had to make one pan of brownies for Harold so he wouldn't get into the ones I have to take.

It was almost summer like today here too. It was close to 80 and sunny. I hope we have a lot more days without rain.

Sarah, glad you are still having fun in Florida. I have never tried to do yoga. Getting up off the floor just takes practice. It's not a pretty sight.

Beth, that was great! Several years ago, when I was working, I did yoga once a week. I was the only nurse on my floor that did not have back trouble! Lyn
