Haven't been posting much for awhile....haven't felt well lately, so since we've moved to Ft. Stewart, GA for a couple of months before heading back to PA, I decided to spend a morning and part of the afternoon at the Army hospital here, last week, to have a quick check up....after blood work and explaining that we don't have a "primary provider" locally, that we full-time RV, (tricare rules for retired Army spouses. can only use the ER/urgent care for just that. ) and already know that the local VA Clinic will give me the run around (been there, done that when Ernie needed re-fills on meds when we were out west a couple yrs. ago.. ..I now know that I'm a boarder line Diabetic and am waiting for the tests to come back to see if I have Lyme Disease. the "quick test" was negative, but since I have 2 symptoms and 3 spots from the tick bites I got last fall, they sent some blood for a culture at another lab and started me on antibiotics and Naproxen for inflammation and pain.....I'm gathering copies of all testing to fax to my "home" VA Center, so that they are in the loop and possibly treat me long distance until we return in May....I have good days and not so good days....hate watching what I eat, but that's better than taking meds for Diabetes at this time...So on the good days, Ernie takes me out for lunch, shopping, or re-visiting some of our favorite sight-seeing places in the area.....and visiting with some friends in the area....
I haven't posted any of this on FB because I haven't said anything to family at home, yet, until everything is in....but I had to talk to get things off my mind so that I can go to sleep tonight...so, I'm unloading to all of you as I know from past issues you are all there for me....
I also know that all of this can be "lived with", but it helps me to clear my head and maybe sleep tonight....
So I'm done, now...and will let all of you get back to what ever you were doing...Oh, and yes, I do check in and keep up with all that is going on....maybe soon, I'll be back to my "normal" self...
Thanks, for listening...
