Sunny Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Monday

Postby Colliemom » Mon Mar 09, 2015 7:31 am

Good morning,

Guess I'll start coffee today as I think Donna has early Dr. Appt. Was nice seeing her post yesterday. I was busy getting ready for church. Sheila, had to laugh at your being early yesterday. I'm sure you weren't the only one out here

Beautiful weather on tap here this week. 40's-50's :) Gonna a feel so good. Might even sand down my picnic table which I stored in Garage for that reason. Will be taking doggie walks over to the park too. Looked at ny covered trailer yesterday and am so tempted to blow the snow away from it. Maybe can move it on to drive. Can you tell I'm getting antsy  Course I realize this is a false spring as I call it and winter will have one last hurrah, but........

Okay, time to get a move on, Miss Molly and I had our morning snuggle, finger nibbling, short nap time in bed session, now she's having her nap time, I'm going to strip my bed and do load of wash, then head to town. You all have a great day out there :D

Good Morning,
Good weather report this week for here too and I am definitely glad! Now that the snow has melted I see the daffodils are up about two inches high. I've had them blooming in the past at the end of Feb . but they will be much later this year. Not much planned as both yoga instructors are out of town for spring break so other than the class I teach on Wed. I'm on my own to keep these parts moving. :)
My project for the week is to get a newer iphone. I though I wanted the 6plus but since I read so much on my phone decided it was just too big for my hands to hold comfortably. I first went to the AT&T corporate store first and couldn't get out of there fast enough!!! Talk about high pressure sales, who ever thought up their sales training classes must have been a former used car salesman. I went to Best Buy and will go back there now that I have decided which one I want, they were really nice and no pressure at all.
Need to get moving here and try to figure out what to feed the dogs as they all hate this last shipment of Acana food I got.The company has been sold and the formula has been changed, seems like being sold never a good thing. I remember when Innova was sold it was one recall after another. So far no recalls yet but the dogs certainly aren't happy. I also read that Merrick bought out Castor and Pollux and isn't being recommended now by some because of Merrick having numerous recalls.
I hope the warmer weather has reached everyone!

Good morning all. Warmer here also, Sue. And I know what you mean about wanting to uncover the rv, I did the same yesterday! I went out to push some of the snow off where I could reach which is only the hood and realized I am going to have to rethink where I park it. I apparently created a big problem...I have ice dams all around her and it's preventing the melt from going down the driveway. So the garage and carport are flooding. I tried to chop through it to make a channel but it was so deep and solid I couldn't get through it. And since it doesn't get much sun it's going to be a problem. So I may have to try to get the cover off, at least enough to drive it and get her moved. I'll go out again today and see what I can do. the problem is that although it's warm during the day, it refreezes at night. Luckily I have 2 drains in the garage so that helps. Always something!

But I did have a good but short visit yesterday morning with my "other son" and his wife. We had 4 big dogs running around! It was great! Their pup is 4 months old and is going to be a big fellow! At first he wasn't sure about my guys but got into it pretty fast! Their dogs haven't ever used a doggie door and couldn't figure out what was happening when mine ran outside but it only took a couple of times showing them for them to start using it! It was so funny!

Sounds like everyone is starting to get the fever to travel! And the FL gtg is over and everyone off to other destinations. Loved the pics and all. Looked like such fun. Spring will come! And then watch out!

Well, enough rambling. Need to get ready to head to town and Lowes. I ordered my new door the other day and I want to look at deadbolt lock sets so I best get moving. Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning gals!

Sunny here too and supposed to be warmer days ahead. Hope that is the truth as I've really had enough of this winter weather.

I have been going back and forth on a decision about my pet sitting business. This last skin cancer surgery really got me thinking and re-thinking things. I am ready to try my hand at a different type of business, or else bite the bullet and go back to work for someone else. I've been brainstorming and talking to Carrie because it's been her goal to open a thrift store. She's been gathering inventory for a couple of years and slowly selling it on Ebay. I have a bit of money that I could bring to the equation and we've talked about an actual store and what all we would need to do/get to start it up and running. Last night we discussed just running an ebay store and I think that's what we will try to do rather than a physical location. So we will get together soon and go over what I need to do to take over the ebay selling as she seldom has enough time to keep up with it, and I have more time. It would mean I would need to continue the petsitting for longer than I want to, but if it takes off eventually I would be able to let my business go. I am getting too old to deal with being out in all kinds of weather walking dogs and as I found last year, it's not possible to find someone willing to take over everything so I can get away. It took 5 people to replace me when I went to KS last year.

I think I need to start looking into painting walls in my house this spring; some haven't been painted in quite a while and others have developed cracks that need fixing. DH is at the shop almost everyday so it's going to fall on my shoulders to keep things up around here, much as I hate painting. One of my barns needs a roof replaced too, so guess I'll be up there sooner or later.

Got a few odds and ends need doing this morning before going off to my dogs so I'll get off now.

Take care and stay safe everyone,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

good morning ladies
damp and sunny here in Manteca CA, forgot what it was like to have a little fog in the morning but it will burn off shortly as the sun continues to climb.
No plans for today other than to relax and play with the dog. Miss my little Maggie but this one here will keep me busy.
The drive here was uneventful, and of course thats a good thing cause we didn't want any accidents or breakdowns.
Off to get another cup of coffee. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning All, o'cast here this morning, but sun is breaking through. Had a nice day yesterday with the daughter, grands and great-grand. I like to go over there on Sundays because everyone is off work and we can sit and visit all afternoon. I took many pictures of the great-grand and sent then to daughter who is up north as she feels so left out without being here to talk to the great-grand. He is such a good baby, at three weeks!!!

Today is a Wal-Mart Day. Other than that its reading day.

Kathy, your schedule wears me out just reading it!!! Good luck on the eBay-thrift-store thing. Sounds interesting and its something you can do on the road. (I think)

Kathy, I have a friend who has been very successful with her eBay store. Good luck to you. It does take time - and to keep your rating, remember to pack and ship everyday! People like getting their orders fast.

It's another nice day in the mountains of Arizona. I'm getting really good at playing musical sites :)

Good morning gals!
Just saw three squad cars fly down the road past my place, and then the water patrol truck following with their air boat (like the ones they use in the everglades) in tow. Not a good sign. Must mean someone went thru the ice again. With this warm weather, the ice is really unstable right now.

Have been laying really low the past several days. Between coughing fits, sinus infections and severe lower back pain (caused by coughing), I have not been feeling up to doing much. Been working shorter shifts at work. I am feeling better today tho, finally! I went to see my massage therapist on Friday, so I think that helped some with my back. I also think my new reclining chairs are NOT helping my back any. May have to think about selling them and keeping my futon, for the studio.

They are gutting the apartment right below me today, so lots of noise this morning! I was told that the cabinets for my studio will be coming on Wednesday and new windows are going in this week also. Then the rest will go in pretty quickly after that, hopefully! I need to go thru and get rid of a lot of accumulated things around here before I move.

The weather has warmed up nicely! Altho I haven't been outside much to enjoy it yet. 50's all week here! Only a few little snowbanks left, here and there now. Spring has sprung! Hopefully we'll have an early ice-out and I can get my kayak on the water by mid April!

Gotta get ready for work now. Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
