Anybody been to the Amana Colonies in IA? My Trailer Life magazine has a great write up on that area and sounds like a neat place to go see and explore. Also looks like it has a really neat campground there as well. Might be a great place to stage a GTG, Someplace different, yet close to many of us in the middle of the country etc.

Yes Sue, I was there in 2011. It is a very interesting place to visit.

Went through them nearly every year as a child - not been with my rv. But it's a wonderful area.

Never been there, putting it on the list!! If I don't have to turn around and head home after the Oregon GTG I'm going to try and make it there before I head down to boy chicks in Arkansas. 6 winerys and a brewery....my kind of place..... :D

Hmmmm, if you don't have to go home, maybe we can coordinate our schedules. I haven't said exactly when I'll show up in Wisconsin!

If you decide to have a GTG there, I could make that one. Only 4 hour drive south for me.

But, but, but.....that would require planning ahead. Why do some of us have such aversion to that? We sure love our freedom to wander. :)

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up on whether I make it there or not! LOL! I haven't even looked at the map to see just where Iowa is in relation to where else I might be going...Not that that ever stopped me, but just sayin'....
