You should have walked out with one tucked under your arm. Nobody would have noticed.

what I found odd was how orangy they were instead of pink and that one is really
dark brown. I made a puzzle out of this group.

perhaps the brown one was an immature? Our white gulls here at Lake Champlain vary in color due to age/maturity. sort of like teenagers,.. haha....

Tell those birds to watch out. Sparkle is not that far away and she has been known to make flamingos disappear.

Flamingos color is based on their food. My guess is those aren't getting a lot of fresh shrimp. Just my guess. And whatever they are getting - is giving them that orangish color.

I had never given much thought to the Flamingos color, or that what it ate gave its color. Just took them and their color for granted, I guess. Raised in Fl. from age 10, and just used to seeing them everywhere, when younger. So now I'm learning again on this thread. They eat shrimp? Lucky creatures !!! Wonder when dinner is?  Maybe the brown one only gets the dried up , been dead a long times shrimp? That kind of goes a long with Sparkles theory. Nobody likes him.
