For those of you not on Facebook:
Vicki and Dave gave away one of their Dutch Ovens in a drawing, and I was the lucky winner. Today was the day to try it out. I made New England Indian Pudding...a traditional custard-like dish made with milk, egg, corn meal, molasses and spices...and baked low and slow. And it rained and rained for the occasion, lol.
You’re going to do WHAT with the DOG?
Vicki at the registration table.
All the ingredients assembled...so far, so good,
Scald milk, and molasses and corn meal, cook until it thickens, then add remaining ingredients.
Hard to get coals started in gusty wind.
Ready to bake!
And then the rains came! Donna and Carolyn came prepared.
Make-shift rain cover for the DO.
Carold and tgm came to visit...what a support team!
Looking good in spite of the rain.
Almost needed the boat to get to the fire pit.
All gone!
