Friday...First day of SPRING!!!

And you know the rituals of spring...these butterflies do.

I see Barbzee left the light on for us. I'll start the coffee. Oh look, there's Hazelnut coffee...she was thinking of you, Soos. I'll make a pot of regular for the others too. I'm baking a lemon meringue pie...stop in later for some.

Reason for the pie is my friend's birthday...she requested it instead of cake. Her requested present is going camping. So we're going to the Gulf coast tonight and staying at a private campground on the water, then on Saturday, we'll explore Hagan's Cove! Been looking forward to that after Sparkle and Beth's reports about it. And yes!!! the rv refrigerator is finally working on propane! (As well as elec. & 12V)

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Oh heavens it's Friday, first day of the weekend for some lucky souls!!! Then there are the rest of us who have to wait for Saturday. And of course there are those who don't have wait for Fridays or to worry about Mondays!! I think I could hate them!

Well one more weekend of sorting and packing for us. Move out day here at the house is staring us in the face. And it's got a scowling face. Next weekend will be taken up with the actual move. Gads!!! And we will be packing up the bathroom, kitchen and what's left of bedrooms!! I know we will get it all done but right now it's not looking good.

I'm sure that like me we, are all missing Barbz!! No matter how one tries, none of us does her bang up job on the morning greeting!!! She picks up on all the goodies and makes sure we do to. Even when it's something we have to go back and dig out to reread. ~sigh~

I did catch one thing tho.

Fernie, I am so sorry to hear that your sis will be doing cemo. Still dealing with her foot and now this. Hon, you can be sure that she will be in my prayers.

Beth? I guess I double posted the underware thing??? But I sure don't remember it. It will have to come either under the heading of them computer ghosts or else I was really having a senior moment!!!! LOL

Trudy, "Manties"? LOL Kelly has worn them things for more than a few years now. Back when she was in high school it was all the rage for the girls to wear them things as shorts out in public. When that died out she kept hers and used them as jammies. But now they have womens underware in boxers!!

Ok that's it for me for now!!!! LOL Gonna go check my email and get my comic fix.

Ahhhhhhhhh, good morning, yep, its Friday, but this is the Friday I've dredded, we
have a retirement party at work today, my favorite couple (married) and who happen
to be my mentors are done and getting ready to hit the road full time. I am so going
to miss them but am happy they get to enjoy life without working tail end off. Have
been passing the cards around all week and took up collection to get a gift card,
Chili's has restaurants all over and they own several others too that the gift card
will be honored, and I happen to know they love the gift cards for restaurants. So,
its pizza party and cake today and alot of tears from everyone, as they are well
respected at work. I get a locker out of the deal though one other driver wanted
it but I put my padlock on it last week and gave Ginny the key and she's kept it
locked up for me. hehe. Told the boss I needed it because I was a lead driver and
needed the locker to keep my file and notebook in. The other driver thought she
was intitled to it because she has seniority but when it comes to lockers, seniority
means nothing, but we will see what happens.
Ok, gotta be out the door in a few so I'll finish my coffee and be outta here.

Liz, I know you enjoy walking your dog. So if you walk back up the road a little ways there is a small bridge to the right. There is a nice walk through the woods to the Bay. If you turn right there it takes you right back to the Bird Tower and then circle home again.

Thanks for the reminder of 1st day of SPRING. I'm so excited it is finally here. Many things are already blooming across north AL and leaves beginning to come out on trees. No butterflies out around here yet; at least I haven't seen any. Think spring has got to be my favorite time of year. Hope to get outside to enjoy it a bit today.
A big "to do" list for today and weekend but nothing on it I really want to tackle. May have to do a major revision there.
For all of you getting on the road this weekend, have a safe, fun journey. The rest of us are waiting for your photos so don't forget to take the cameras.

Good Morning !
It's a beautiful morning in AZ - last night around 11 pm some crazy a** birds started tweeting and hooting and whistling !! I don't know what they were but they kept it up most of the night !!! I finally got up at midnight to shut the windows and turn on the air conditioning just for the noise - I could still sort of hear the crazy fools, but at least I was able to fall asleep !!! Molly and I did go outside at midnight so she could pee and I could look for the birds but I didn't see any, only heard them. Freaky !!!
today I head for Flagstaff AZ - I'm going to a campground that I've never been to and I can't get my GPS to locate so I'm a little freaked - I think I'm actually freaked 'cause I don't really want to be doing this part of the trip - I think I'm looking for excuses to not enjoy myself. I'm really working on that !! I might as well have fun and I know Flagstaff is beautiful. I read that the campground I'll be staying at backs up to a National Forest with lots of walking paths so Molly and I should be able to take some great walks.

Good-morning Everyone!!! Its a beautiful day here, Maggie and I, have had a nice walk, wee bit chilly, in fact had some frost on my car window. Nice for walking though. First day of Spring, and it is absolutly a gorgeous day. Won't be real warm today, but I just might get out and do some of the work in the yard.

Echo, I do not envy you your moving project. I've done it so many times, said I would never do it again, you should never say that, past year I have been thinking of doing just that.
All the work involved in this move will all be worth it though, where you are headed is just beautiful.

Sure glad you let me know its Friday, I am one of those people who needs to check with days and time on her t.v. or I would never know which day it is. (sad situation)

Happy Spring everyone!! It is pouring here and I am happy LOL.... It is not thick white stuff !! Also I have no leaks anymore as, on Monday, I replaced every vent cover on my rig with new ones and also had the service guy put those MaxAir things on top. Warm and dry for a change is nice.

Had a great dinner out with friends last night so I will pass on the goodies but will grab a quick glass of milk and some cut up fruit that I added to the table.

Hey! Guess what? I may be leaving later than planned...now likely mid-April or even the third week...but, I am number one on the waitlist for my upcoming Atlantic Canada caravan that includes Newfoundland. I am already confirmed on a shorter trip to the other three provinces that I was able to book last fall. I have my fingers crossed... The caravans (both of them) leave in mid to later June from New Brunswick so I should be able to get there if I delay my exploration of the south until next fall and winter. I figured out that I can still hit 6 states I have never been in if I stick to central US to get across the continent. May be asking for a lot of suggestions...

Good morning! (good afternoon, really,... it's 4:25 p.m.!)

Just settling in for the weekend. Feels good. Decent day at school except for two fourth graders who got into a fist fight before 8.m. in the cafeteria,... and both ended up in ISS for the day! Geeeeesh,.. things like that are happening younger and younger! all over who took which seat... !

supper is cooking so I'll run along,... have a great evening everyone!
