Anyone been to Quartzite and what did you think of it? My winter schedule has worked well this year, I've been on the eastern seaboard, kinda, doing house and pet sitting gigs. I have met some really nice people, and nice pets! I still like the road, but it's a relief to sit still for awhile. I haven't gone south/west so far since I'm finding those are long distances, with a fuel cost that puts a strain on my budget. If I had a very economic place to stop for awhile, I might consider it though. What do you all think of something like Quartzite? And is there anything comparable in the east?

If you go to the gtg room, you'll see we had one in Q this winter, and every winter for several years. Some here stay there all winter, some for awhile, others (like me) go to visit. It'll be getting quieter and quieter there now as the shows have all winded down. There's lots of reasonable to free places to stay out here in the desert. Wonderful place to winter.

There's nothing comparable to Q in the east, no.

Thanks, I'm beginning to think that might be a destination for me down the road.

I'm one of them who is there all winter and boondock but I pay to stay in long term BLM land
if you stay in free area you have to move every 14 days don't have access to the water and dumps that long termers have
lots to do lots to volunteer for and even see some jobs around
something to think about
