Life in Guadalajara, Mexico

Postby asirimarco » Sat Feb 14, 2015 10:52 am

We are in Guadalajara, Mx up at 5100 feet and it has been raining for two and a half days. And weather is only in the mid 60s during the day down to 49 at night. Right now Bill is cooking breakfast trying to get warm.
I posted a couple of blogs about Guadalajara. We went to the big central market here and only went through a very small part of it. But saw some beautiful saddles.

Hopefully today we can get out and do something for a while. This is a beautiful city - it was founded on Feburary 14 1542. Today is supposed to be dry - but cloudy and cool.

Thanks, the GB liked the pink saddle and the white boots. When she saw the sandals and shoes she said "pretty". The kid does like her shoes. I find the bright colors on the houses to be interesting.

I attended a conference in Guadalajara in 1997 and loved it. Organization I was part of co-sponsored conference with Independent University of Guadalajara. Quite an experience.

Well should say I loved everything except the car exhaust that messed with my asthma. Visited the 1542 church (can't remenber name), Tonolah and Tlaquapaque for shopping. Loved it all. Maybe someday will go back.

Hmm, first I've heard of sacks for the horses. I wonder why that isn't done by carriages in some of our cities. It seems like a great idea.
