Hey MandysMom!

I am near Marysville (just north of Sacramento). An impromptu GTG would be GREAT!

Geez Judi, you haven't made your reservations yet??? Of course you can join!!!

For others that can't make a commitment before the park fills, there is dry camping across the freeway from the rv park next to the casino and also a county park (Stanton Park I think) that might have availability that weekend. I know the county park isn't as expensive as 7 Feathers but it also might fill for the holiday weekend. The shuttle from the casino will run to Stanton park so you could shuttle to the casino and then shuttle to the rv park. Heck they might even take you directly to the rv park. You don't need a car! How cool is that?

Any other "lurkers" out there are welcome to join!

I sure hope I can go....

Anne, I would love that GTG but at moment I am pretty much tied down taking hubby daily to radiation treatment at UCD Cancer treatment in Sac. Maybe later in the year. We will be at this nearly 3 months as we just started tuesday this week.

Thanks Anne. This is round 2 so to speak because he had a palate tumor removed with reconstruction in June 13, then radiation to upper jaw and now it's prostate with radiation to,pelvis. We are both more than a little tired of this game and hope this gets it and we can move on. Have you ever been to Woodsen Bridge park, I think is the name? I went to Chico state and spent a few evenings at Woodsen grilling steaks with friends. Would like to investigate to see if overnight there is possible.

Mitch, are you heading out west this summer? You are sure expanding your horizons now with the new TT. Are you still thinking you might be in MN around Lake Superior at some point? Let me know. I will meet you there.

It's kind of a long story but I happened to be at 7 Feathers today and took a few pictures of the sites in case those new to the park are curious what they look like.

This is site 21 (pull thru)
Image

Site 14 on the right and 15 on the left (back-ins)

Left to right: sites 22, 21, 20 and 19 (all pull thru)

And this is what site (#20) looked like at that time of year. It was cloudy that day which is unusual but it cleared up later in the day

Oh and Judi, I won't "flake out" LOL I stopped in and double-checked my reservation when I was there today. It all depends on work...

How much is it to stay at Seven Feathers? I has always been in the cheap seats across the road and lost my money on the slots LOL

For a week, you pay for 6 nights and get the 7th night free. Last year, I think my final bill was about $235 for the week. Not sure what the rates are this year. I believe it's about $36/night. http://www.sevenfeathersrvresort.com/home

Lots to do in the area besides the casino. Tons of wineries, Wildlife Safari, Crater Lake is an easy day trip, just to name a few. The casino runs a tour of wineries in the area. http://sevenfeathers.com/events/trolley-tours/I don't drink wine so I can't give you any info on that. Small grocery store in Canyonville (the shuttle will take you there) but larger stores in Roseburg which is about 30 miles north.

Hope you can make it!

When I was poking around several days ago, the rate averaged in the low $40s, depending on the day - so, between $41 and $43, iirc.

It is my Motorhome in Laura's pics. I stayed there Fri and Sat night. Higher on the weekends, I paid $37.99 You get a discount for having 7Feathers Club card, AAA, AARP. Good Sam etc. I usually pay around $34 a night. There is a County park Stanton Park across the freeway on the Casino side....shuttle will pick you up and take you where you need to go. I think it is $20 night. It is actually nice looking. Then there is dry camping lot Just FYI for everyone. I think Laura covered it in her posts.

We will be there over July 4th and they have a shuttle to Riddle (next town over) that puts on a huge fireworks display for those interested. Usually Roseburg has Graffiti week and has a car show (dang it is the 8-12th) , and lots of other things going on BBQ's, Breakfasts, etc. Well I could stay if needed LOL I AM unemployed hee hee 6 covered bridges in Umpqua valley, Douglas County Museum Oregon's largest natural history collection is on display here at the museum. Many wine tours. Coast is close (Bandon and Coos Bay= oysters lol ) Just in case people want something to do ha ha Me, I am in for Happy Hour and R&R. Hope this helps

Thanks for the additional info. :) I am still looking into options and time frames... Seven Feathers has a dog limit so I might just save money shopping around. Stuart and Remi said that I could just tie Audrey out at the front gate but she objected. Silly girl! :)
