I think I'm Done - Roadtrek for sale

Postby retiredhappy » Mon Jan 12, 2015 8:41 pm

I've been thinking about this for a while. I really don't enjoy traveling much since I lost Carole. My 1999 Roadtrek is ready for a new owner. She has 116000 miles on her but has the big Dodge engine that my son-in-law says has thousands of miles left on it. The tires are still really good with plenty of tred and it has four wheel covers to protect them. I replaced the refrigerator, the microwave and the air-conditioner. Right now it is made up with a sofa/twin bed set up. I have the cushions to make two twins or the queen bed. I added a 2nd coach battery so it has two total. I also have a 2nd small unit that can be used as a freezer or a refrigerator for longer trips. When its made up as a twin, the 2nd frig sits next to the regular one. It will fit on the cargo carrier that comes with it. The low NADA is $13,225 and the high is $15,905. I'm asking $14,000. Thought I would put it here first before Facebook or Craig's List.

UPDATE: Move is done so am ready to let the Roadtrek go. Have removed the 2nd battery, it died and I didn't really need it. The extra frig is now in my son-in-law's office. I am including the Tailgater satellite system which works with Dish receivers. It now has just over 117,000 miles on it and the big Dodge engine has many, many miles left. I have all the maintenance records including the previous owner's. It (and me) are now located in Leesburg, TX (East Texas near Ok border).

I'm sad to hear this, Karen, but happy to have had the chance to meet you in KS. May I cross post your Roadtrek on a FB page I'm on? I know there are some ladies looking for RVs on it who might be near you and interested in your rig.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Ginger, feel free to post if you know someone looking. Its a great little rig and I've enjoyed the three years I've had it.

So sorry to hear you think you are done with RVing.
Hope you will still consider attending gtg's; you could stay in cabins if available at parks or nearby hotel. Remember I did that for a long time; don't have to have an RV to enjoy the company of all the great ladies here.

 This makes me sad. But don't you dare think it means we won't be seeing each other again. You've got to do what's best for you and I'll accept it.

Yes, Karen, don't think not having your RV lets you out of coming to gtg's with us!

You better hope and pray that the new property has room for a couple of rv's to come visit you! :D

Sharon beat me to it because it suddenly dawned on me that I believe Karen is moving onto acreage! :) So Tina is right, we can find her!

Karen, I have read your post several times and was stunned. I'm just getting to know you and don't want you going away so you must stay in touch!

So does that mean that when I do make it back to the Southwest to explore northern New Mexico.....I will have to go without you. :?
