Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sun Jan 11, 2015 7:12 am

Good Morningall,

A Happy Sunday to you all. Hope those of you in the cold areas are starting to warm up. We may hit mid 20's today Warm after the cold weather we have been having. Maybe Molly and I can take a little walk later on. We shall see.

Otherwise nothing doing here. Probably work on puzzle, maybe watch a movie if there's one on etc. Did all the snow removal yesterday so none needing that today. Blower broke down so am going to have to get that fixed  Another bill. Found out my washer's motor is going, not sure how long it will last, so new washer down the line here. Hope it's not going to be one of those years.....

Carol glad you and the driver are enjoying MX and that he is feeling so good this year. Barb, glad you dad is feeling better, but yes, looks like assisted living is the next step. Keep the faith, it will all work out. Sorry about the Jeep. Looks like you are having the same kind of January I am.

Not going to spend time yakking about nothing here this morning but want to take the time to wish you all a nice day. :)

Good morning ladies
slightly overcast right now but I do see a little blue sky. I'm hopeful it will burn off but the weatherperson is saying
slight chance of drizzles. Guess that means if it rains it won't be much. Off to do a trip to Fountain Hills today, :D
Maybe do laundry when I get home but not really worried about it when I have enough uniform shirts to get me through
the week.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning all!
Sunny day here but cold. Will take Miss Minerva out for a spin around town today. DH says it is good to run her and move the tires around after sitting under the carport. Will run the generator too and just give her a little workout, keep everything running smooth I guess.

I understand why you want to get out to Wickham, Donna. Any time spent in the rig is therapy...that's what I always say works for me.! Wish I had somewhere to overnight up here in freezing cold Pennsylvania.
The campgrounds are all closed, temps are too cold and besides that, I notice for the 2015 rates everything is sky high now. It's almost impossible to find anything here in southeastern PA that is not $50 a night, and then some! We are fed up with the northeast as far as camping. DH says just save it up for a bigger trip in the summer.

I am making pot of ham and split pea soup for tomorrow, since they are calling for freezing rain then. Will try to do some sewing today and also make crab cakes for dinner tonight so that is my day! Hope you all have a blessed one too!

Good Morning All, some good news for a change. SIL had his first chemo this week. After feeling lousy for a couple of days, he now feels pretty good. As he and DD are getting along well, and neighbors have offered to take care of their dog in emergency, I am planning on driving down to Q!!
It is going to take me two or three days. I will leave here Tuesday morning. Donna, you will understand I want to watch Monday's football game.
So, it is on the road for me. Everything I do is based on "one day at a time". Lyn

Good Morning,

Lyn, I am so happy you'll be at the Q GTG!! Glad your son-in-law and daughter are managing - know it is a very tough time.

Donna, I don't blame you for liking a day out even if it is to dump tanks! :) Glad to hear you are feeling better! Karen, my rig is constant therapy until I get it cluttered as it is now! I have so enjoyed working on my genealogy, but I certainly have a mess in here!! Ava, hope you don't get wet on your outing! :) Sue, maybe you are getting all the repair needs done for the year! Seems like there is always something!

Tomorrow I take the Slingshot to Havasu for 500 mile maintenance. I broke a string on a day/night shade on a small window so ordered venetian blinds - they should be here tomorrow. Tired of messing with water pump (6 years old) so new one should be here Tuesday. Wednesday I must clean!! Thursday we are going to boondock in Q before I drop the SS off Friday for the GTG and we will go on to the balloon festival in Havasu. Saturday - let the fun begin!!

Have a good day everyone!!

Good morning, everyone.

Donna, I, too ,understand enjoying a night out even if it is just to dump the tanks. I enjoy driving out to the state park in Lawrence to do this on occasion & just spend the day.
Sue, I love reading about the fun you & Molly have. Sounds like you were meant for each other.
Lyn, that's good news about your SIL - glad you're heading to the Q. Getting away for a bit will be nice.
Anita, sounds like you're in maintence mode a bit but still having fun between the chores. :D
Hope you all stay warm - I've been properly educated that it can still be cool in the desert in the winter.

Not a lot going on here. Overcast & cool - but at least above freezing today. Gaby is in France with her dad. One of her dreams coming true. She left Friday night from San Diego - super excited about seeing Paris - but I think her bubble got burst a little bit yesterday as they tried to figure out the transit system going from the airport to Versailles (where he has a trade show). They finally got to the hotel around 3 AM! Thank goodness T-mobile has free data roaming there so we've been in touch alot. She's about 100 feet from the palace of Versailles so she'll spend a couple days touring that & then will venture to Paris. Not sure she's ready to tackle the transit on her own though.

I continue to try to figure out what to do about retirement - can I afford to do it sooner than I had planned to help out with the new baby in LA... or do I wait. I'm working the numbers, contemplating my options, & most of all >> enjoying everyone's adventures here. :D

Hope everyone stays safe & warm...

Almost tomorrow already! :o

My "loaner" car wouldn't start this morning so I had to have one of the girls from work come and pick me up. Hopefully, my Jeep will be fixed on Monday so I can have that back!

Wish I was in Arizona or Florida now, but needed to save my money this year. Maybe next year! Hopefully, it will be a milder rest of the winter here and an early spring! They say it is supposed to get into the 30's by the end of the week but they said that about last week and it never happened, so we'll see...

Good night! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
