What a great looking group of ladies! I don't know about anyone else but eating is one of my most favorite pastimes. Unfortunately, it shows :o  Glad you are having such a wonderful time. Cheryl

I was wondering what happened to Sparkle's original (pilfered) flamingo...haven't seen it lately. It's what got us all started on a mascot I think.

First, a warning - do not turn your laptop upside down to shake out dust, etc, when in the middle of a post. It will disappear :)

Yesterday, Friday, we went out to lunch (again) and I'll be downloading pics later, I promise. Then we got back together at Karen's for dinner to celebrate her birthday. We had good conversation and a bunch of fun.

I had some trouble with my generator (that I thought had just been serviced) so with this terrible wet, cold weather and then my heat quit working overnight (yikes) the decision I made yesterday to come back to Port A today was a good one. Sparkle called and they could get her in a day early, so she came back too. Karen called and they could have gotten her into another spot for 2 days before the one she has reserved, but she would have had to move AND she would have lost the 2 days she already paid for yet in Port L - so we'll wait to get back together with her and Carol on Monday. Sparkle and I said our goodbyes to Birdie today - and wish she was coming on down, also.

Lots to do here - but promise, I will get my couple pics uploaded this afternoon and will add them.

Liz asked what happened to the pilfered (such a nice word compared to stolen) Flamingo. I returned him when I went back to Alabama. You know, come to think of it, I've been much too serious lately. It's time I had a caper, dontcha think?

The girls (Beth, Sparkle, Birdie, Carole and I) all got together in my rig to celebrate my birthday. We had pizza and wine and marguaritas. Sparkle showed up all dressed up for a party. We were all laughing a lot and probably rather tipsy by the end of the evening which was 9:30pm. What can I say, we're just a bunch of party animals.

HEY! I spent a lot of money getting crowns on my teeth. WHERE ARE THEY? Thats a genuine 1920's hat. Birdie was ready to cry at the thought of all those birds that gave up there lives to provide the feathers. Oh come on, the birds would have been dead of old age by now anyway! :D

I've finally got my few pics on photobucket. First, I got onto the beach just before the cold, winds and rain came in - so here are a few pics from Wed evening:

I aimed my rig towards the water - left my curtains open except when absolutely necessary to shut them (and when it got COLD)- so I had the wonderful view - and of course, could listen to those waves:

Image

Then I brought my chair to join the group already at Sparkle's:

Looking down the beach from before Sparkle's rig. Mine, you can see the nose peeking out just after Sparkle's.

Our Mexican lunch on Friday:

But the best part of the Mexican restaurant we had lunch at on Friday were the murals on the walls - this was my favorite:

Image

Sparkle couldn't resist - not just her hand, but using a tortilla chip?

Image

It's really unfortunate that we caught the first really bad weekend in TX in months - but we got to meet and spend time together - and it's not over yet, just had to change how we did things.

Those are feathers???? OMG! Whew I feel so much better. Ya really had me going Sparkle. I agree 100% with Sharon!!! But I was gonna ask if ya would share the hooch!!! Hmmmm After second thought? If it took that much hooch? I guess I would have had to ask what kind? As you had probably already finished it and then some. I would have had to get my own!!!!
