Nice wreath and neat fish, but you'll need others to help with naming.

Nice job on the wreath. Pretty fish. I don't name fish other than calling them dinner cuz fish at our house never seemed to survive long.

Your wreath is very pretty and so are your fish. I have 5 big gold fish in one of the water troughs. One of them is about 8 inches long. I feed them cat food when I go out to feed the barn cats.

You better not eat my gold fish. He's 8 inches counting his long tail. We had an even larger one that we lost in the flood. I have to keep an eye on the neighbor that has cattle on our land. If they worm the cattle I have to make sure the cows can't get to that trough to drink or they will kill my fish. Men don't think about things like that.

Very pretty wreath and fish. How about calling him Flin.

Martha why would the cattle drinking out of the trough after worming kill your fish. Eight inches, that is a BIG goldfish!

If they use an oral wormer the cows have it in their mouth. I have already had them kill my fish. I don't know if the pour on or injectable ones would make a difference. What ever the neighbor used last time killed the fish in the trough by the pens. We use to have gold fish in all the troughs but I gave up trying to defend all of them.

Martha, can you temporarily put a mesh screen over the trough to keep the cows out?

Sheila, how big is your tank? This one is only 5 gallons.

I would think if she did it would have to be submersed so the cows could get a drink
but it might work at least to consider

The one trough that I use now I can close the gates so the cows can't get to it. I don't know why I worry about them so much. It's like the barn cats. Harold can barely tell them apart and I can tell you which one doesn't show up to eat.

We have 5 house cats and 15 barn cats. Thanks to the spay and neuter clinic all but one have been fixed. There is one wild male cat that I haven't trapped yet. All the rest are tame.

Nice job on the wreath.

Martha, I'd think the cats would go after the gold fish - you must be keeping them well fed to ignore the fish.
