Beth,

Am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Prayers going out to Sue, her family and also your other friends and their families. And yes, I agree that as we get older we start losing more of our friends and family. I watched it happen to my parents and now am watching it happen to myself and and to my friends as well. I just lost an old friend and neighbor of over 40'years here this month and it has be like the passing of a generation of memories with them' my parents and others and I'm sure you are felling the same.

(((Hugs)))

Beth I am so sorry that your friend has passed and sorry for the loss his family is feeling now. It is never easy and the farther out from the time of death the more difficult as the realization they are never coming back becomes your stark reality. I lost my ex-husband 2 yrs. ago and it has taken this long to reconcile myself to it. My girlfriend just lost her husband in July and I am revisiting those feelings again as I watch her experience the finality. As you said, it is a reminder again of our mortality and the need to live in today and let those around you know you love them. Blessings and prayers for all (((Hugs))).

So sorry to learn about the loss of your friend.
Thanks in large part to you and other who help with admin on the forum it provides comfort to many of us dealing with so many of life's challenges.
Thanksgiving Day marked 17 years since my husband's unexpected death. Seems I have also reached an age where I consider myself lucky if a few months go by without the loss of someone I know.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
