Good morning ladies, of course I'm up early on a day off, go figure  but when ya can't sleep, ya just can't sleep. For me
its always better to get up and move around than to lay in bed and get stiff. Lots to do this morning before I go over to dinner, which is at 2. Will tidy up the house, shower, wash hair and do SOMETHING with it, get little overnight backpack put together
for the roadtrip. Dogfood for Scout and Maggie and grab the kennel for Maggie. Maggie makes people nervous and she rides
better in her kennel. Scout loves everyone so he can roam the backseat. So the plan is to leave after dinner and drive to Las Vegas, son booked us a room and then do the last 6 hours tomorrow morning. That should put us in SLC shortly after noon.
Hopefully he'll have his hose and stuffed already stowed and ready to leave. It would be nice to see a few sights however, time and money is an issue and of course so is the weather. Suppose to have a little rain up there on Saturday but not freezing rain or snow, so clearly we want to be out of there and to lower elevations by friday night.
Hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving dinner, have a great time. Trying to think what I'm thankful for.....everything! Life is good and only getting better.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody. Yes, I'm up early. Had to get the Indian Pudding in the oven early, so the turkey can go in later. No longer have an extra stove in the basement, as I rarely need it now. Hope everybody has something special to be thankful for today. My long time friend, Judy who invited Donna (Ryegal) to Martha's Vineyard, is spending Thanksgiving with me and my son. That is special. Peggy

Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

Was reading through yesterday's coffee and wow, lots going on. Carolb, glad you arrived safely at yoirmbros's and yes, I'm keeping up with the snow. We lost almost all the snow we got from that lake effect storm las t week and had about 3-4 inches on Tuesday, so nothing much to mess with. Did blow the two drives (mine and neighbors) and that was about it.

BJ, glad Toby coming around. Can't remember if you gothim from a pup or if you adopted him, but I can"t help but wonder if he had been eating someplace where stray voltage, even from a plug may have shocked him and he's gotten reluctant to go near food or water cause he remembers. Maybe he needs an elevated platform to eat from. Physical condition maybe causingw it rtoo. Or you just have one weird dog  yes Irmi, the countdown has begun. Two weeks from this weekend, Imgo get her.

Ava, have a safe trip to SLC and back. That's a case where having Good Sam medical emergency insurance would have come in handy. Judy, God news on your grandson. Peggy, sounds like you will have a nice Thanksgiving with family, friend. I will be going over to neighbors later this afternoon.

Right now, want to finish breakfast, take a bath, wash hair and then just relax. Didn't sleep good last night, so kind of dragging this morning. Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving whether you are u yourself or with each other. We all have our. Lessons to be thankful for and one of mine is for all you wonderful ladies on this forum. :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, :D

Good to see the plans for everyone today. I didn't think I was going to have any - but son's original plans fell apart so I get to have them over. Donna, I like your attitude - fix the full dinner even if you're the only one that wants it.

Baby bro & his wife drove down from WA - yeah, crazy idea. We're glad they made it safely - don't think they'll do it again (at least not in the winter). Took a long lunch from work yesterday to meet up with most of the sibs. I always say the best gift mom & daddy gave us were our brothers & sisters. Love being around them - even if it doesn't happen very often. Will re-gather later today at younger sis's house to see everyone again.

Carolb, are you nuts driving to MO at this time of the year? Of course I guess being with fam is worth it. :D Will you go back north or head south afterwards? - or maybe a little west??? My driveway & house is always open. ;)
Ava, safe journey to SLC & back - I hope just being on the road is enjoyable.
Sue, can't wait to see you with your fur baby - hope the next couple of weeks pass quickly for you.

Hope you all have a good day- stay safe & warm. :D
Take care, Catherine

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Unlike Ava I'm staying under the covers waiting for my heater to get this place toasty. Then I'll throw on sweats to walk Peaches, come back and change for the warmer day coming and head to the Desert Museum.

Whether with family, friends or by yourself, make the most of this and everyday. And like Donna, if you want that turkey and all the fixings, no reason you can't make it just for yourself. Go for it!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for the friends I have from this forum!!

Plans changed here so we will go for a desert ride about noon. Potluck dinners have just become too noisy, and we ate too much last week!

Donna, glad you are doing what you want about dinner! Peggy, how nice to have a friend to visit with on Thanksgiving.

Ava, safe travels!! What a great friend you are! I wonder why it is I wake up early when I don't have to, but I am sound asleep on the days I have an alarm set!!

Catherine, so glad you enjoy your siblings! Mine don't speak to each other!

Carolb, I will be so relieved when you get further south!!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Good Thanksgiving to everyone... it will be a quiet day here... made turkey and noodle soup yesterday while Kelsie was here and promptly burned it... yikes... guess I need more pans to go on the NUwave I just bought... it makes awesome oatmeal... no more burned stuff...

Being thankful is an everyday event... I am so very thankful for this internet... without it I would not know you wonderful ladies...

On the other side I am thankful my daughter is coming home today... poor Augie keeps wetting on the carpeting... so that will be a project next week providing I can get the steamer working...

Safe travel Ava... hope your friend gets better soon... and Catherine how nice to have siblings to visit with... Sue the count down begins!! Yes Lyn that is my Shadow looking up as I try to open the olives...

Have a great day everyone...
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am having a rather quiet morning here, DH is all involved in setting up his new Toshiba Chromebook. I tried to talk him into a Macbook or iMac so I could help him so now he is on his own :)
Sue, I just have a weird dog!! He was eleven months old when II got him but had been re-homed (sent back to the breeder) I found one of his litter mate owners on the Poodle Forum and his dog also has issues. I think it is a combination of DNA problems and with Toby that someone was way to harsh with his training. He showed a lot of signs of being abused when I got him, like when I would go to put his harness on he would cringe or if I raised my voice he would just fall apart on the floor. He is very well behaved (except towards other dogs) but very attached to me and I think a lot of the recent behavior is caused by jealousy due to the addition of Mitzi.
I'm also hoping Carolb gets to warm weather soon. She just missed the bad weather by leaving here a day early, the snow came on suddenly and visibility was awful.
Safe journey to all on the road and I hope everyone who is cooking that your meal turns out wonderful!

Happy Turkey Day! :D

Going to pick up my dad in awhile and then head to my brother's house for dinner at 2:00. It is a sunny but VERY cold day today (5* with a high of 9*). Will be warming back up tomorrow tho.

The loan request at the bank was turned down, so no trailer for me right now. Will save up my money and maybe by next summer, will have enough to buy something. Am going to buy a kayak tho when the one I want goes on sale.

Tomorrow I have a doctor appointment and then will head north to Walmart and pick up a few things there and then buy a couple fish on the way home for my new little aquarium.

Have a great day, a great meal, and be thankful for all you have! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
