Been doing nothing productive today, just puttering on the internet. Too cold and windy to go anywhere.

Did come across this cute little thing, tho... :D

http://www.hilltoptrailers.com/default. ... &id=930663

Would be perfect for me for now, just doing short jaunts around the state here in the summer. Would get my feet wet with learning what I need to know about RV's . I would use the dinette area as a bed and just put a folding table in front of the couch. Has everything else I need in a subcompact size! Just need to figure out how to pay for it!

Well, anyways, dreaming helps me get thru the long cold days here...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Ain't that the truth!! Cute about the right size for learning for me too. Maybe we should go halfsies & store it mid-point in Wisconsin somewhere

cute little trailer
finally got the window fixed (sort of) in my car so now when I go to work early in the 40* mornings, I won't feel like I'm
riding in a convertable. The switch needs replaced but I can at least open and shut the passenger side. Drivers side will
go down but not up so its closed and will stay that way until I get a new switch. Didn't do any laundry today, decided I
had plenty of shirts to get me through the 3 day work week and can do it all next weekend. Was outside in the yard
doing a little pooper patrol and now that I'm in, I don't want to do a darn thing. Its really very nice out right now.. 73 but
it will start going down in another hour. Have dinner planned....large backed potato with cream of broccoli soup. In kind
of an "off" mood today, don't know what thats all about, I don't usually get moody, but tomorrow will be another day and
maybe I'll get some stuff done. Did get the oven cleaned out this morning, it had alot of dust but its ready to use. Had to
turn off the propane tank as I was smelling propane outside so guess the regulator needs replaced, will have the guy do
that when he comes out to service the furnace. Enough for now.

I'm thinking there are a lot of full tummys at Kathleen's house about now. I don't think my dinner is going to make me happy as I envision all their goodies!

Aww, Ava, we all have down days. And yours sounds like it was pretty darn productive for one!

I took advantage of the hour time gain and did a bit of sightseeing that I hadn't planned. Stopped at one of the wildlife refuges I like, then took the road through Lincoln (all the Billy the Kid stuff), then past the Smokey the Bear park. Am now settled in at Valley of Fire Rec Area. Only paid for one night because it looks like temps are falling again tomorrow. So will decide then. Gotta love the senior access passes. I'm in a water and electric site for $9.

And I love how every year phone and internet service get better and better.

Barbie, has anyone called you back on that tt?

Had a sunny but blustery day here in Savannah for playing tourists. Went to Tybee Island first and made sure the Pottery man at least drove past Doc's favorite Crab Shack. It was too early for lunch but he knows where and what it is if anyone refers to it. He said that it was the first time he had seen the Atlantic Ocean for 40 years. Yeah, the man is not a traveler..... We survived the Savannah tour by taking the trolly so that he didn't have to walk around as much. It took for ever for my back to warm up. I just didn't feel all that great most of the day but managed the driving and the walking, okay. Tomorrow it is suppose to rain all day. I am hoping to be able to drive over to the other state park that Miss Mermaid like so much so that I can consider it for a longer visit in the future.

My favorite site is #192. It is the area of the park with large sites filled with palms, oaks and pines. These sites are more private and not as windy as on the beach.

Pick up a small ice chest if you want to buy some fresh shrimp to take to your daughter's. There are several places on St. Helena Island near the park, but my favorite is Dopson Seafood (about two miles off the main road). It is a family owned business and they will make ice down the shrimp in your cooler.

What a fun trip. Enjoy Savannah and later, Thanksgiving with your daughter.

Hey Tina, if you make it up to Augusta http://sconyersbar-b-que.com/ has some pretty good BBQ. Stopped once on my way through and my sampler plate lasted 3 meals  They are right off I-520, easy off and easy on.

Hey Barbie, I like the little trailer. Let me just state, I hate shopping and would much rather sit in the truck while Phoenix takes her time shopping. Phoenix like to shop especially when it's my money ;) I was kidding her the other day I should buy a little camper so I could wait in comfort while she shops.

Steve?

Very cute little trailer. It would be perfect for you.
Seems to have more room than my first one that was 2' longer!
I just can never figure out if ALL quoted trailer lengths include the tongue or just the box.
I think the box on the original Mobile Marlin was 13'; 16' if you include the tongue.

Speaking of the Mobile Marlin, has ANYONE ever heard a work from Nancy (travelinana)?
Anyone have her phone number?
I had it when I was selling her the trailer, but can't find it.

Barbie, I love that little trailer...I considered trailers prior to getting my truck camper. That trailer looks about the same size as my truck camper. I thought I couldn't learn to pull a trailer, thats why I went with the truck camper! lyn

I've been wondering about her also. I went back to her FB page and she hasn't been on there either. What's more scary is her last two posts were looking for a home for her dog? Hope someone has her number and can find out something.

Never had the pleasure to meet Travelina, but sure hope she's OK also.

Glad that the IL mini-gtg was fun for the sistah's. I'm not much of a drinker, but the cranberry wine sounded good. Safe travels Carol on your continuing journey. Kathleen I'll be sure to give you a call next time I'm headed your way. Darned if I know how I got 1 digit wrong on your phone number - maybe fat fingers when saving it to my phone. :?

Still tapping my foot waiting for pics of the GTG ... and polar bear pics from Anita. (yes, I'm an impatient soul sometimes).

Hope you stay put Beth until the winds die down some more. Don't need you getting blown back up north.

OK Irmi - inquiring minds want to know - what song did you sing at karaoke??? :P

Alice - please don't put off getting your arm looked at for too long. Maybe just some exercises are need to get it back in full working order. Donna - did the stone finally pass?

Thanks for the thoughts about my sister ladies. She's out of ICU, but is fighting the physical therapist and talk is they may put her in rehab, but she's in denial I think and she IS a stubborn Irishman. We will have to wait & see.

Cold weather is coming again. So think we better keep the campfire going.

Stay safe & warm everyone.

Is this Ft. McAlister State Park?? If so, we have friends who "work camp" there for Jan. & Feb....we've visited a few times...like it..nice park...Exit 90 and go East on GA 144...Glad you and the Pottery Man are having a good time...if we can't do lunch this time, we'll be sure to do it the next time we are in the same area...
