G'morning Kathleen, Donna & all to follow :)

Kathleen, you're awake! I'll be in shortly after I do a few emails:) Yes, what a wonderful time we had yesterday--so fun to have the three of us working in the kitchen together, & we came up with a really tasty meal! Neighbor Barb was a wonderful addition to our trio--& she had a cork screw  Cheryl, I'm sorry about your sister. Didn't realize that was the reason you couldn't be here. Kathy, again, so glad to have a visit with you when I wasn't sick ;)

Beth, thanks for pointing me to Anita's posts. I hardly stray from MC, so I appreciate those "heads up" when posts are elsewhere  . Have a safe trip to NM! Anita, another exciting adventure! Irmi, did you make it to Ocala?

Well, best get moving in order to keep up with Kathleen this morning:) BJ, see you tomorrow!

Y'all have a great day 8-)

good morning ladies
so glad the Normal gtg is having a great time and hopefully you girls continue to have good weather.
My arm is feeling pretty good this morning, no really bad pain but I'm continuing with the nsaids and giving
it a rest as much as I can. I actually woke up a few days ago and remembered when I hurt it. Back in June
when I was building the deck....remembered I felt a "pop" in the bicep trying to get the uprights up, decided
to call son for help. Driving the spare bus has not allowed it to heal but the mechanic thinks my real bus will
be back up and running in another week. I certainly hope so, its much easier to steer. Decided if I don't have
it healed up by the time we go back after christmas break I'll have it looked at.
Will get my car cleaned out today, its a priority cause I have to give rides for Thanksgiving dinner over at the
"ex's" . Think they would prefer not to sit on my pile of junk mail that never makes it from the mailbox to my
table, then to the trash can.
Time to get something to eat, my tummy is grumbling for food. Ya'll have a great day, be safe and hoping you
have good weather.

I'm thinking of Kath as I eat a bowl of oatmeal. I wasn't eating it much because I like it with cinnamon/honey and had found a brand that I really liked. The last couple jars I bought were expensive imitations :-) Finally purchased the one I like again and now I like oatmeal again... I should have checked Amazon long before I searched stores high and low. Hope you are all having a continued great time, and Kath, you can catch up on sleep after everyone is gone.

I'm staying a 2nd day at Valley of Fires because of very high winds predicted today. Also bringing colder weather, but I'll take the low 20s again tonight over driving in 50 mph winds! And there's another trail here I want to do. If I don't get blown away!

So glad the Normal gtg was a success! Carolb, looks like it was good you got out of here when you did. Saw the news last night that parts of I-80 and I-99 had to be closed because of ice and lots of accidents! Some of the same areas we were a few days ago! The photo on the front page of the paper this morning showed the Grays Woods-P-Burg split was closed until about 7 PM! Glad I didn't decide to go over to see the grandson yesterday! I probably would have set on the road for several hours! Got my snowblower back this morning! It could be repaired so don't have to buy a new one! Happy dance! So should be ready for the winter to come. Did discover the faucet in the garage broke off in the freeze so will have to get that fixed at some point before spring. Sure glad I shut off the main waterline in the basement, just didn't clear the water out of the line so my fault. Lesson learned. Just glad it wasn't on Carolb's rig!

Beth, enjoy your extra day but don't get blown away in those winds! Irmi, did you make it to your destination? Kathleen, we can always sleep when things quiet down! This is just to much fun to miss by sleeping!! Have a great day and stay safe.

Hello everyone!

So glad the GTG at Kathleen's was so wonderful! Maybe those of you heading in that direction can stop by Kathleen's again next year! Carolb, safe travels on the next leg of your trip. Cheryl, I hope something can be done to help your sister. Donna, enjoy your football game. Ava, get that junk mail moved so you can shuttle others around. Beth, glad you're staying put for another day waiting for the winds to calm down. O'Sharon, glad you didn't get stranded on the roads and that your snow blower could be repaired.

We are in Ocala! I thought that getting here over a month early that we'd be among the first to arrive at the campground, but boy was I wrong! Most of our friends are already here. We spent yesterday evening at the club house for the karaoke event. Afterward, a friend came to visit and stayed till way past midnight. Although the skies are overcast, it's 82 degrees and balmy. This is why we come to FL! Here's wishing all of you, wherever you are and whatever you're doing a super Sunday!

Ava, I can relate to your car full of mail. Since we have a PO box in town and mail box on the road a lot of the mail ends up in my car. I have learned to immediately put the bills in my purse so they don't get overlooked. Don't ask me how I know to do that. Since we have 2 addresses we get a double dose of catalogs and junk mail. I have tried to opt out of the catalogs but it doesn't do any good. If you order something it just encourages them. About once a week I take a bag and unload the car and sit by a trash can to sort it.

The storm came through here about 1:30 last night. It wasn't as bad here as predicted and we only got about an inch of rain. It looks like it has made it to the East Coast today.

Martha, A few years ago I used to have the same problem. I got an unbelievable number of catalogs. I finally called each one and asked to be removed from their mailing list. It worked!

Good Morning All, O'Cast here and a cool 66*'. I have the Charger shirt on and will head over to the daughters to watch the football game in a little while. Other daughter and SIL left early this morning to return to their home in Healdsburg. I miss them and their little dog all ready. (the cat does not miss the dog!) She comes out from the bedroom and explores all over the condo to make sure he is not here!
Sounded like a wonderful gtg in Normal yesterday. Thought of you all. Have a nice day everyone and drive safe. Beth, I love the Valley of Fire...lyn

Ditto on calling the catalogs! I did that several years ago for our office. The lady who sorted mail was a friend of mine and getting frustrated at all the junk mail. We were getting 30-40 copies of several catalogs selling various business things. I took several big armloads and called the companies whenever I had a little extra time, telling them not to send any to anyone at our address but me and that I would share with the others. I ended up saving a few trees plus making my friend's job a lot easier! You can also register your name with the Direct Marketing Association. Most catalogs get sent to you because they buy your name, so you have to cut off the sources. This is an old article, but the info is good. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/22918522/ns/business-consumer_news/t/stop-catalog-madness/#.VHIqzRPnbIU

Heavy rain all day yesterday. Had a break this morning so I was able to go out and dump my tanks, but now it is raining even harder--enough to cause satellite dish problems. (Just got up to close vents even though I have vent covers.) I had a small stream of water yesterday come in through the lower crack in one of my slides. I was parked slightly unlevel and the rain was coming from the high side, so I think it just ran down the side of the slide and in through the small hole where the two rubber strips overlap. Rain in coming in from other direction today! Glad I got my tanks emptied so I can do dishes and take a shower tonight. Moving on tomorrow, but this has been a nice state park with a beautiful beach, or at least would have been with a little less rain!

So happy to see good news here! I'll have 'real' keyboard tomorrow.

We have grocery shopped and drying clothes at laundromat at 5 p.m. Won't get home until after 7. LeRoy went to Mass while i won a little at the casino! Anxious to see my photos on computerto see if i have any good ones.

Beth, glad you have been through the worst of the weather. Carolb, continued safe travels.

There's a website.... optout.com where you can opt out of receiving all kinds of advertising and other junk mail. I update my choices annually. It drastically reduced the amount of mail I receive.

Hi Irmi, glad you made it safely to Ocala. Hope to see you soon. We're having the "hanging of the greens" Friday at church, 4 p.m. with spaghetti supper after the decorating. Come join us if you can.
