A COOL SAT.....

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

A COOL SAT.....

Postby grammynmaggie » Sat Nov 15, 2014 7:34 am

Good morning everyone...a tad cool here along the coast in Central Florida...
but I don't mind one little bit...anyone that is in the cold should "come on down"!
Got the RV washed yesterday..."outside" only took me 4 hrs...I thought that this would be
the year I could get it all shined up...with the company that Liz uses for hers...but you all know
the tire story...so maybe next year...went over to the church bazar and did my duty for 3 hrs
and that was about all my day ...today Maggie girl and I will go out looking for a few yard sales
even if it is just to look..gives me something to do...then think the inside of rig will get a once over
this afternoon...well better get at it...so you all have a fun filled day and be safe...donna ;)

Good morning!

Ha, Donna, you beat me by 6 minutes! Been up since 4:30 this morning, driving the hunters where they want to go. With the time change means I have to get up even earlier to haul them around. Makes for a long day if I don't get a nap.

So cold here today and doesn't look like it'll get much better tomorrow. Today is breakfast and tack sale, not that I need any tack LOL! I have 7 saddles for 2 horses! :D It's just fun to go look, like your yard sales, Donna.

DH brought home all the dirty towels and rags from the shop, they use them when they are wet sanding or cleaning up a car. They get so very dirty I usually have to wash them 2 or 3 times to get them clean. And of course, he doesn't fold them when they are done.

About all from here this a.m. Will let you know what's for breakfast when I have it!

Everyone take care and stay WARM!
Kathy

G'morning Donna, Kathy & all to follow :)

Sounds like you two have some fun planned for today--always fun to browse, whether yard sales or store sales. Two horses, 7 saddles? Well, Kathy, you deserve them for all the pains you go through to earn your money--getting up at ungodly hours in this weather

Ok, been up early here too, but busy running around getting last minute stuff done to leave today! Almost "warm" enough to start taking things out to HB--up to 26 deg. I know many of you have that beat--brrrr Bright & sunny though, so should be a good driving day.

And that's about it this a.m. Now to pack laptop--hooray! Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

I'm struggling with deciding to leave here Monday or Tuesday. Frigid tells have been extended through Monday, but winds pick up on Tuesday. I think I'll be leaving with the winds. Will make that final decision on Monday.

Two more "works", today and tomorrow. And I best finish getting ready and over there.

good morning ladies
cold this morning and have the heater going but I should be able to shut it off by 9 or 10. By then I'll be outside doing weeds.
Watching my neighbor get his truck packed up, he's leaving the fifthwheel until they get back.
Trying to get laundry done but washing machine is acting up so its a bit of a chore. Will have to use the laundryroom until I
get the new washer. Its cheaper to buy a new one than to call a repairman and pay for a new motherboard on this one.
This washer is 8 years old and used very heavily so I feel I got good use out of the first investment.
Nothing else of importance is happening in my world, ya'll have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Good morning all,

Trying to catch up on all the activity here. Have had daughter & fam up from TX a couple of weekends, family wedding, lots going on at work & now Thanksgiving is right around the corner (yikes!)

Glad you're getting on the road a bit, Carolb - sounds like fun GTG is about to begin. And those in FL - I'm pretty jealous. Ava, getting to turn off your heat later this AM & pull weeds - as much as I dislike yard work, even that sounds good.

The weather folks here are making the anticipation of 2-3" of snow into the storm of the year. They keep showing the snow starting in western KS 'cause we don't have any yet. It is cold, but heck acouple of inches of snow aren't going to stop the city. The coldest day will be Tuesday but then we get back to highs in the 40's. Very doable.

Will keep anyone traveling in my prayers. Stay safe & warm.

Good Morning All, A little o'cast early this morning, but expect sun will be out later. Today is a big soccer on TV day for me as SD State women are in the NCAA tournament. I enjoy watching soccer as my three grandsons played when they were younger and I learned the rules. Carol, safe drive today. Anyone else on the road this morning? Beth, hope you are able to get going on Monday, but your safety is first concern. Ava, I understand about missing those nice neighbors. Sorry to hear about wife's Father's illness. Have a nice day all, lyn

Bright and sunny here in Normal today... 19 now but will be 32 later... I slept until 7 this morning better! hate it when I cannot sleep...
Oatmeal all finished and coffee is staying warm in my thermo Keurig... Hope santa brings me a one cup Keurig for Christmas!! but do not mind making my coffee in the strainer...
Ava hope you get a new washer soon... it is not fun going to the laundry... the park I stayed in last year only had one washer and one dryer so it was a juggling match... not very often was it taken up when I wanted to use it...
Donna do you ever make memory quilts? there are some interesting stories attached to those... good luck garage sailing....
Carolb if it is anything like it is here you will have a beautiful drive... bright sun cloudless skies...
Not much going on here... hoping Cheryl calls back today...
Take care and enjoy this Saturday...
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Good Morning!

Carolb, I'll be thinking of you - safe travels!! Beth, once you figure out which day is best to start out, you'll be glad to be on your way! Safe travels for you, too. Hoping I can follow your progress on hotel Wi-Fi next week, but I will be thinking of both of you!

Kathy, I could not be you with the early hours!! Ava, sorry your neighbors are leaving, and I hope you get more good ones! Lyn, enjoy the soccer games!! Catherine, glad you are so busy you'll stay out of trouble! :) Sounds like some fun family times tho. Donna, isn't your rig pretty now?? :)

So many having the dreaded 'C' test this year - now Liz's turn! I had my first last year at age 66 - after 14 year old granddaughter had to have one to find Crohn's disease, I decided I could be a grown up! :) Granddaughter is now having a very bad flare up of Crohn's. Daughter likes the doctor in Kansas City, but there is a lack of communication through the nurse - took four days to get lab orders and now weekend with no change in meds. Surprised daughter wasn't on their case - I would have been. Daughter (who is a nurse) figures the flare up is so bad, they will put GD on Prednisone again for a bit. My late hubby was on small dosage of prednisone for years and years due to Crohn's. No word from my other daughter about grandson other than he liked the therapist he saw Monday. On a happy note, the Kansas teens' high school is doing Cinderella this weekend and the grands are in the orchestra.

We are having a 'short' ride at 10 - hoping I can get a few chores done before we go.

Everyone have a great day!! Ah, Kathleen snuck in!

Happy Saturday! We're going to be 8 degrees low from our average today...69. That's not really warm enough for me, but better than the 44 that Ft. Worth was a couple of days after I left! Not a lot on the agenda today...think my dear departed hubby is playing games with me..Satelite wouldn't come in in 2 cg's with a perfectly clear sky and generator wouldn't even turn over for 2 days..everything is working perfectly now. I have an appt. on Tues to get the genny looked at, but I'll unplug here at the house a couple of times a day, run it under a load and if by Mon it's still working I'll cancel. Boondocking for 10 days starting Friday so I'll definitely need it. Sat came right in at my last cg in Az and here at the house. TV I can live without.

Those on the road and about to get on the road..be safe and stay warm!

It only got down to 36 last night. I thought it was suppose to be colder than the night before but what do I know. I hope they are wrong about it getting down in the 20's next week. I was going to get some PVC pipe and fittings at Lowe's and try to make a frame for my orange tree. It got dark before I got back to Abbeville and I wasn't stopping after dark.

Sharon, I didn't get to use my satellite much on this trip either. I had a nice site by the lake but too shaded. There were 96 over the air TV stations but more than half were spanish. I know about as much spanish as I do french.

I told my son that I would take him out for lunch but of course he hasn't called and isn't answering his phone. He might get his birthday present for Christmas if he fools around too long.

Sunny CA day here with start in the 50's and high in mid 60's. We had a pork shoulder smoking on the pellet grill smoker overnight so stepping outside is filled with good smells. Have to head to grocery for a few things but because its less than a mile it is a fast trip there and back. Then hope to get more done in the house. Not too exciting but dinner will be good then can pack rest of the shredded pork (shoulder was nearly 15 lbs) into meal size freezer bags for future meals. I love work once, enjoy for many meals ahead. It was the first time we have brined the pork 8 hours in advance before using dry rub. Anxious to see if it's as moist as they say.

Martha, where I'm headed on Friday, we get 3 or 4 over the air stations...all from Mexico. LOL! Yeah, my spanish is about as good as your french. I've got lots of books loaded on my Nook and during the day we'll be out in the dunes and night around the campfire. I'll live if it doesn't work. LOL! But the genny HAS to work...I make the pies and bread! LOL!

Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin' Mornin'

Sorry - I've been AWOL for a while and wanted to catch up :D

Sooo many threads to catch up on so hope everyone is well, warm or heading towards warmth. Think we are going to have an early winter here. I'd rather have the cold than the snow at this point. At least you can still drive if it's cold, but the snow . . . everyone forgets how to drive. Maybe I should take Mar-E (the truck) out for a test spin in the Homer Depot or Wally parking lot since it's the first winter driving her

Nice that the forum sistahs Kathleen & Kathy contacted me today - just found out about Kathleen's early Thanksgiving dinner invite. Hope to make it, but work has been h-e- double hockey sticks lately.

Stay safe on the roads everyone - - - off to do a lot of reading.

Hope you all have a good day and stay warm!! :D
