G'morning all :)

Not in single digits here, but yes our temp dropped! No snow, & only a "trace" expected later today. Sue, Barbie & others, are you plowed out now?

Kathleen, I'm so excited about our mini Tday gtg! Really nice of you to "officially" post it on gtg's! Maybe we'll get a few more, but if not, I'm really looking forward to being with you, Kathy & Cheryl :D Queen, sorry you'll miss it.

Anita, wow, maybe you'll reconsider a trip to FL? Glad you had a good "trail blazing" ride ;)

Off for more coffee & get ready for bro to be here. Making more cookies today.

Y'all have a great day 8-)

Really chilly here this morning, it's 22 but with the wind it's more like 15, brrrrrrr!

Donna - I'm jealous of your weather! Just bought a place in New Smyrna Beach and will be there for three weeks at the holidays and move down permanently... only one more cold Illinois winter to get through!

Carol - hope you all have a wonderful time, if our Chicago plans tank we'll be sure to head over. It's a get together with my niece and sometimes she has to head out on business with little notice.

Good morning all! Cold here too! So far no snow, flurries expected in the next few days! But "the guy" came the other day and get rid of the leaves in the yard and flower beds. Of course there are more blowing around from where ever they come from! At least the majority are gone. Think I need to invest in a mulcher of some type so I can do more of it myself. I have a vacuum attachment to my leaf blower but the bag gets so heavy on the shoulders. H-m-m, something to check out before next fall! Looking forward to Carolb's arrival this week end! The pre Thanksgiving gtg sounds like it's growing! Oh, just read in the newspaper that gas prices should stay below $3 a gallon for 2015! I put gas in my car in Cumberland MD the other day for 2.86!! PA has added so many taxes to the price I wonder just how low we'll see. But at this point I'll just take what I can get! My friend and I spent the day at home yesterday, I needed to catch up a bit on some housework! We've been running most other days. Gettsburg was so great the other day, the weather was perfect for touring the battlefield. They have really changed things around from some of my earlier trips! And the trip to Cumberland was fun too! I love that little town. So much history in that area too! Not sure what's on the agenda for today but I'm sure we'll figure out something! The pups were glad to have us home for a whole day! They are such good boys to put up with my crazy schedule! Well, ladies, time to get this day started. Coffee is on, not much else to offer but the pot is always on! Be safe and stay warm!

We are getting ready for our first freeze tonight. I got something to put on my orange tree. My DH is getting the hoses and faucets covered. It's 38 now and misting. If it doesn't stop raining it's not going to get any warmer. I'm just glad it seldom snows or sleets here.

I was in Fort Worth all last week with my sister and friends. We had a good time. Glad this cold weather waited until I got home. My back is hurting. Guess it's from sleeping on a sofa for 10 days and driving 475 miles to get home. I keep saying I'm not going to drive that far anymore but when I'm headed home it's hard to stop.

I think I might make a meat loaf for lunch. I got ground meat on sale yesterday. We had chili yesterday so I don't want to have that again. I would like to have gumbo but I don't have any chicken in the freezer.

Good Morning,

You all are making me cold reading about temperatures and snow!! I am excited for those of you going to the Thanksgiving GTG because I know you will all have such a grand time together. I must say, I am delighted LeRoy suggested we go somewhere for Thanksgiving rather than the potluck. Lake Havasu here we come!

Donna, I sort of chuckle when I read of your garage sale fabric shopping - where do you store such a stash? I enjoy reading that you get so much accomplished as I can't seem to get to it.

I am not in the best of moods this morning as my iPhone screen has died! Grrrr. I have done the suggested steps to get it back to no avail. Will try to restore it today. If that doesn't work, it has to go to an Apple store. Just got this phone last March!

Another good ride yesterday followed my a search in storage for my riding clothes (including long johns and gloves for next week). No luck there. I did store a few things in LeRoy's 5er so we searched that - nope. Came home and went through everything again - nope. It's a huge cloth carry bag so I can't imagine I would have put it in a Rubbermaid in storage, but we'll go check. The fun part of the morning will be visiting some friends who celebrated their 60th anniversary this summer!

Gotta get ready for the day! Have a wonderful day and safe travels!

Burning through propane like crazy here in Vicksburg. A tank usually lasts me almost two months, but this one will probably only last another two or three days! I filled it up on the 31st and it looked full until three days ago. WIll make sure I get it refilled before I get to Florida since it looks really cold there also. I've had my electric heater running full-time but it is not enough, so last night had front furnace on low but one in my bedroom running a little warmer. You all know how these RVs lack insulation!

Temp last night went down to 35 and right now it is 39, so this morning I put on a sweatshirt and got out some old velour pants that are soft. (I have problems wearing tight things that rub on my one knee where the nerves were cut when it was replaced 6 years ago. Anything long term on that knee starts to feel like sandpaper after an hour or so.) Supposed to go down to 27 tonight. I have a full tank of fresh water and mostly empty waste tanks, so I did not put out hoses or hook to sewer. Am at a casino campground so have both but too cold to use.

I am staying in today and going to tour the battlefield tomorrow. Will get some work done while I have free internet.

Brrr!...is right! 23 right now with a low of 7 tonight! This is crazy cold for this time of year!

Got my hair permed this morning at a cosmetology school. No one at work wanted or had time to give me a perm after hours, so I went there instead. It turned out really good considering how dry my hair is from frosting it. Only $32, too. Will be nice for winter. Just have to wet it down and go. No more 20 minutes of blowdrying and/or curling every morning.

I wish they would hurry up and get that studio done for me. I am so ready to move! Getting tired of watching traffic go by right outside my window every day (and the noise of the cars, trucks, police sirens, and now snowplows!).

Was going to wash dishes this afternoon but they have the water turned off in the building for repairs until after 4pm, so will have to find something else to do until then. Maybe a nap...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
