Monday, Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday

Postby SoCalGalcas » Mon Nov 03, 2014 7:59 am

This is a nice surprise, me getting to start MC! Nothing new in my life....most days are the same. Casey did not turn her clock back, so we are out on the street at 4:30 AM. Had another little rain shower last night. Nothing to brag about.
The Chargers were very disappointing yesterday. Who was it that has Phillip Rivers for their fantasy quarterback? Sorry for you. Lyn

Good Morning, Lyn, and all who follow!

Two west coasters on here before anyone else! I woke up and gave up on going back to sleep.

Nothing exciting here - 'to do' list is getting shorter!

G'morning Westcoasters & all to follow :)

I see where you had some rain in CA, Lyn. Need so much more, eh? Anita, last week before heading north to see the polar bears--another exciting adventure! Ava, also up early out there :o .

Kathleen, hope you can get your MH fixed! Catherine, good to see you & hear of all your plans:) BJ, hope Elsie made it through the freezing temps. I kept HB toasty last night, but we are also going to have a warm up this week--starting today.

So today I tend to leaves! The town pick-up of yard waste starts today, so I need to move my waste to the curb. I'll get out the walking mower to mulch the rest of the leaves that are still coming down, then call it "done"!!! And my to-do list gets shorter, too :D

Y'all have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Good Morning, I think the dogs and I are going to be awhile adjusting to this new time. I slept through part of The Good Wife, one of my few favorite shows last night. Carol are you on the road when the mulching is done or do you have to wait for the cookies to bake? I haven't checked Elsie out, I don't see any drips underneath so hoping that is a good sign.

Not much on my to do list today other than yoga, I'm happy that I've found two classes with instructors that I like. I have so missed the instructor I had for 8 years who moved in the spring. I didn't go for a few months and it is taking me awhile to get everything moving again. Would like to do weights again but the gyms all use cleaners that I can't tolerate especially the ones that also have pools treated with chlorine.

Happy day to all.

Good Morning to All from Vegas. - darn that time change - was up at 5:45! Nap time today. The weather has cooled down from the 80s to the 70s here - I enjoy that. Bill puts on long pants and a sweat shirt.
Supposed to meet our son and family for dinner tonight - but haven't heard any more about that from him. I want to go to some of the casinos today or tomorrow to check out the decorations. No gambling.
Not sure where we'll go from here except head towards Tucson and Mexico.

Good morning everyone,

I don't much like this time change either. I wish they'd stop it.

Not too much to say today, I made a post in General that I'd appreciate all your comments on. It's really bothering me.

Have a good day gals and stay safe, enjoy your travels,
Kathy

The time change sucks! Hate it! Not much going on here in Ft. Worth, cold yesterday, warmer today and supposed to rain tomorrow. Go figure! Having a blast visiting with family, their Grand lives with them and she is just the cutest little thing. Very bright and precocious for a 2yr old. I really get a kick out of her, but of course it helps that I have my own house to retire to! :D Her and her mom are moving in a couple of weeks..it's gonna be devasting for the GP's...they love this little one so much!

OK off and running, have stuff to do! Have a great day everyone and stay safe!

Good Morning! I’m home again because they didn’t finish the work on the electrical/plumbing problem in my building. November is going to be a short month. I’d already taken off next Monday to give myself a four day weekend with Veterans Day. Then Thanksgiving week will only be three days. I could easily get used to this.

Youngest son was home this weekend. It was nice to see him for a change! But the kid doesn’t know how to take it easy. He works at the hospital in the emergency room and does 12 hour shifts so that leaves him with plenty of off days. So he took a job at a supper club as a bartender on his off days. This was the first weekend he has been home since early September and then he ended up bartending at a friend’s bar for the Halloween party. When I asked him why he was going to do that when he finally had a weekend off he told me he might as well go there and make money rather than spend it. I have to give both of my kids a lot of credit because they are both hard workers.

Well I’m going to get a shower taken and go to coffee with the ladies. Think I’ll make some vegetable beef soup today, too. Have to keep up with work stuff through email too.

Have a nice day.

Good Morning everyone... I have only changed the time on my cell phone... mentally subtract an hour on the others... when my daughter comes over she will shake her head and change them!! lol is that a type A personality or what... I used to change them before going to bed... but no need to be worried about them now...
I wish I had known you were passing bye Cheryl it would have been nice to go to dinner... need to fix my phone...
rv-armor has not gotten back to me yet...
BJ allergies are awful and to cleaning chemicals one can go no where if they bother you... I have developed an allergy to my watch band... makes me very itchy... it is a Citizens with the diamonds around the face... a large face so I can read it... need to check to see if there is a jeweler that can put another band on it... BJ is the place you will store your rv heated?
So far behind here on the forum... never can catch up!!!
Have a great day everyone...

Good morning

Nothing special to report this morning so I'll just share an interesting article
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/02/circadian-rhythm-daylight-saving-internal-clock-body_n_6030142.html
The comment about resetting your internal clock by camping got my attention.

Semi-annual doctor appointment this afternoon and maybe a little more work on antique mall booth; holiday open house is Veteran's Day weekend.

Have a good day.

Good Morning !!! Looks pretty outside, but really cool. Nicer then hot though. Not much news, have tried to catch up on what you all have been doing. Read where Kathleen may have a fix for her rv roof, sounded like a good thing. Hope price works out ok for her. Sheila was having a problem getting to "Q", but friends have come to the rescue, good friends are super to have. Carolb, is ready, but the leaves aren't LOL !!! Most of us have some complaint about this time change stuff. Years ago, when there were so many people who farmed, might have been a good idea, but I really see no point in it at all now, time is time and why do we mess with it?? each season has its own problems we have to deal with anyway, no matter what we do with the time. I really have a gripe in the Spring when I loose that hr of sleep, change is most time right around or has been on my birthday and I get older and they take an hr of sleep away  ;) . Not right !!!!

I'm hoping you all have a really great day, its Monday and not usually the favorite day of the week, but seems to be ok for Pat this week. Those traveling stay safe, and enjoy the ride. Those at home, stay warm, dry whatever it takes to make you comfortable , but enjoy your day doing something fun if possible.

This not so fun time I've been in for most of this year, is coming to a close here and I'm seeing better and will be done with dr apps in another two weeks and these drops, seems they go on forever  but I'm really getting anxious now to get my lic back and begin my independence again :) Actually the worst part of this past year has been the inactivity and the weight gain. I don't think I've ever weighed this much, its depressing, need to get where I can do something about it.

Have a great day !!!
CArol :)

Sitting here at my friend's house, tapping my foot, drumming my fingers, waiting since 8 am for the UPS truck. I have to leave at 2:15 for a doctor's appt., so we'll see if it arrives before or not. I will leave a signed note asking them to leave it or come back later today, and if they can't to return it to the shipper. I can't wait all day again.

The time change doesn't bother me. I love having a beautiful sunrise right outside my bedroom window. I don't even have to go outside to enjoy it.

Tomorrow Thistle goes to vet for a teeth cleaning...poor boy, no breakfast!

Have a nice day...it is a beautiful one to have to waste here.

Kathleen you asked if the place where I am going to store my RV is heated and yes, it is. I just didn't want to take it in this soon. The weather forecast said low temps would be 29 but think they dropped lower that one night. All seems well though.
Liz I sure hope the UPS guy came before you had to leave, what an aggravation!
