Okie Dokie it's Thursday..Morning to Everyone ! Oh my! This sure does feel good..now just think..relaxing in the nice hot tub..or in this case..couldn't find a hot tub so did a bath tub...LOL Yeah that feels great on them aching bones or after a long drive..and speaking of which..

MollysMom (Trudy) is doing it one step at a time and checking her List ..they sure do come in handy Trudy and you is doing GREAT !! We're keeping ya company I hope ..

The GTG in Port Lavaca is going great..Beth has finally arrived while the others did some Cemetary checkin out.. Now that could be interesting..and yep I heard of that Day of the Dead Celebration..but mostly with Mexico.. but looks pretty neat.. oh and nothing wrong with a little cocktail hour... that use to be a very big thing years ago.. I remember my girlfriends parents doing that.. cause we never had heard of it in Italy.. not that way anyway..LOL.. Enjoy cause ya know we is.. wooohooo...Oh Retired Happy (Karen) I can see those Flamingo Glasses... LOL..

Fernie I see you too are having those strange morning hours..and oh that soup sounds good... wanna post that in recipes.. I love soups

I would have loved to have some capital gains..but not to pay on..on all the Motor homes I've sold or traded up on LOL...but ya know when ya figure you can write off some expenses....but it just don't work that way...thank goodness...I mean don't cha think we pay enough.. how about some freebies...LOL...

I have one I have to finish for June..and before ya know it.. all the babies will be here Oh and Ava...great idea on the cookie dough..but mine never make the freezer till after I bake them..but gonna see if next time I can manage that one !..

Echo..sure hope you get those meds under control.. give that Dr a call..and girl it's getting closer..and you and Kelly will be hitting the open Road..

Ok, well I need to get my motion with the ocean in gear... and give my crew a push..cause I feel that urge coming on...

Coffee Pot is perking..Kettle is whistling and I'm just anxious to hear what else is going on....... gonna make a batch of Oatmeal, Raisin, Walnut, Chocolate chip cookies..well actually a double batch and freeze part of it.. have some lemon squares, and some blueberry muffins..and just got in a new jar of Biscotti..so for those that would like to join us...pull up a chair...

Good Morning, Barbzee and all!

After a wild, wild night and afternoon of heavy, gusty winds, and several power outages for me, all seems calm, but cold, out there! I built me a woodfire to stay warm overnight, in case the power stayed off for a lengthy time, and zipped into bed at about 7:45! I actually feel almost rested this morning, although I was awakened on and off all night by the winds and power outages. My picnic table blew over on my deck and skidded into the railing on the downwind side! The driveway is frozen nice and solid again, so I'll have no problem driving out of here----temps went from 43 in the afternoon to about 12 now!

Truck is all serviced, although I have to take it back next Thursday so they can free up my emergency brake cables and brake calipers that have coroded/frozen themselves into a gripping mode! Although I NEVER use my emergency brake, especially not in the winters up here, they said the salt and mud can gum up those components big time!

I will be leaving here on March 27th, Barb, for my trek to FL. Will spend that Friday night and the next day, Saturday, at my brother's house outside of Philly, PA, then take off for Dillon, SC on Sunday. I hope to arrive at Orlando on Monday, the 30th of March. Where are you located, Barb? And anyone else in FL? I will be down there for about a week....will start back Wednesday, April 8th.

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Brrrrrr, after the nice weather we have had for over a week it's down right cold out on my back porch! Yahoo says it's 36f out there. I know it's a little colder than that on the back porch but I can't check cause David cleaned off the porch and threw away my broken thermometer that still showed the temps. But after the warm that cold cuts right thru ya. Brrrrr But while it's cold it's not freezing that I can tell. The peepers that I've been hearing are still peeping, not quite as many but more than 2 or 3. And the birds are doing their thing out there too of course.

Woke up for a potty run at 4:55 and have been up since. This middle of the night thing is gonna drive me nuts!!! I did contemplate trying to go back to bed then said the heck with it. I'm not going into work today so I will more than likely grab a nap later. Landlord is suppose to be bringing someone over to look at the house today at 1:30 and everyone else had work or classes. I did too of course but after the landlord and whoever leave I am going to the doctors to talk to them about the BP meds, the nodding off to sleep and my ankles swelling like they have been. I guess the ankles wouldn't bother me so much if the swelling was gone in the morning??? But it's not, they do go down a little but not really enough. By time my day is done those buggers ache. And it's not just my ankles either? Seems like my legs are swollen too? At least the skin feels tighter than it did/should when I go to cross my legs??

~sigh~ Just checked my Lottery ticket. No Powerball jackpot for me today. Maybe next time?!!!!

Will do some light cleaning today before the landlord gets here. Do some dusting, tidy up the bathroom and clean the mirror, vacuum the couch, (horrible job) sweep the floors, (gather enough hair to create another animal) and I guess that will be about it. Can't remember if I told ya'll? But I sweep the floors Tuesday, I ended up with a pile of dog/cat hair. As luck would have it David was home so after I got it all gathered into one pile I saved it in a nice patch of sunlight on the floor. When I brought his attention to it I pointed out that all the hair was light colored and asked him if he could see any black hair from Shade? He looked real hard but had to admit that NO he didn't. Well I dug into his sheetz pretty good about complaining of Shade hair. Let him know that pile was what I swept up every single weekend and that it was from his dog and her cat. Then we got onto the subject of the couch and animals.

Oh boy you had best believe that we are counting the days until we are done at work. April 10 is coming on. YEEHAW And as soon as our paychecks hit the PO Box we will be pulling out. OMG!!!! We can hardly wait.

Well now that I've been up for over 2hrs I'm wanting to nod off. sheesh. Maybe I will take a quickie nap? LOL

out the jacuzzi today and maybe take a soak. Its 56F out this morning, feels a
little colder than that but its gonna get up to 75, maybe a little drizzle but I don't

Morning all.
House is quite for now, no one has to be anywhere early today so they are sleeping in I guess. For someone accustom to living alone, 6 guests for a week takes some getting used to.
Donna choose to have a traditional Irish Catholic service for her mother complete with wake. Everything went as smoothly as possible and the rain held off until after the last of the services. It was my first experience with so many different services and the length of most was more than I expected.
Think everyone will be leaving by Saturday or Sunday. Nicky has been on reasonably good behavior so far. Thought we might have a problem there but so far so good.
Opps, I hear someone stirring upstairs. Not going to have time to catch up on posts now.

Since I've been here the waves have been heading into the Bay, but when I got up this morning the wind had changed and they are heading out of the Bay now. Yesterday morning Birdy and I walked up to the birdwatching deck. When I looked out over the marsh I shrugged and said, No birds today. Huh, what did I know! Birdy began to point out bird after bird. A Tri-colored Heren, Ibis, Roseate Spoonbill. She handed me her excellent binoculars and told me to look over there. I saw a bird and then said it flew off. She said, Not that one, the grey humps in front of it. I hadn't even noticed the group of birds at the marsh edge. I can't remember what they were called though. As we walked home she would stop and say, oh, that's Shrike up on the wire. I had dismissed it as just another brown bird. I love being with somebody knowledgable about a subject I have an interest in. So now on my list of things I must have is a good book to identify the birds, and a good pair of binoculars. I want to see more!

Yes, Zeee, I'm feeling a little better, thanks! Still coughing a bit but that's ok,.. as long as I'm not rocking the rafters with sneezes! I'm back at work at the school and glad to be here.

Wicked wind all yesterday afternoon and most of the night. Didn't lose power so that was good. But I never can sleep with the wind blows that strongly. Of course i took a long nap late in the afternoon yesterday, might have had something to do with it?

Windy, misty and downright cold here today - and supposed to stay with us right through the weekend. I'm off in a few for a Ford dealers - going to finally get my cruise control recall taken care of, and an oil change, and hopefully that's it! Had to prime my generator this morning to start it. It started just fine yesterday, but I guess it doesn't like the cooler temps, rain and wind any better than me. Creaked and groaned but it's going.

When I get my couple pics uploaded from last night, I'll post them in the general room - and remind everyone that the others have been posting to the gtg thread - so make sure to keep looking there, too. I know some people don't look at all the rooms (Ms Sparkle, would that be you ???) so going to do cross referencing here.

I've been wandering around and reading everything else this morning, but I made it finally. To think I gave up the daily paper last year......still have no trouble finding good stuff to read in the mornings Echo, take care and ask that doctor lots of questions and if you don't like the answers remember that a second opinion is always recommended. Med issues and circulation issues effect so many other systems.....You want to be able to enjoy that wild life in the West Two of the furry ones and I are heading off to a doggy birthday party this afternoon at the Health Care Facility. One of the dogs that is there all the time is having a birthday. It seems like a good reason to party to me! Herschel has to carry the present in..... Colder than it was around here but still not bad....it is March in Ohio. What can we expect? Survivor tonight! Looking forward to those pictures. If I see to many possibilities for black mail, I may have to reconsider that GTG in PA.......
