Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday

Postby carolb » Sun Oct 19, 2014 5:41 am

G'morning all :)

Thanks to those of you who gave info on Q--yes, I remember where Kerry stayed, & loved that place! Of course, there was hardly anyone there at the time  Anita, I know you'll steer me in the right direction, & yes, Sharon, I recall it's within walking distance of the big tents:)

Peg, glad you & Donna are having such a great time. Did she give you a kick in the arse to get that RT of yours on the road? My HarBor is now plugged into electric--in preparation for a 29deg low tonight--making sure my space heater still works. Somewhat like disappearing cameras & books, things just stop working at times.

O'Sharon, how's your son's puppy?! I hope the little guy is doing well--just a broken leg?

Always so great to have my mornings to see what everybody did the day before! Off for more coffee now, & hope y'all have a great day, good health & safe travels 8-)

Good Sunday Morning Carolb and everyone else. I woke earlier than I would have liked but it gave me a chance to write a letter and then come here.
Tina that missing camera is like many things I own I bet it fell into the black hole we all have. Or is it the invisible little people that snatch it away!
Carolb it sounds like you will be on the road to warmer places. When do you go?
I will go and fix coffee and oatmeal with blue berries plenty for anyone that wants to have breakfast with me... then I will get ready for church.
Have a great chilly sunday everyone
Kathleen or Kathy

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

I'm Home! Drove straight through from Scottsdale to San Diego. As it is mostly desert and not much traffic, it wasn't bad at all.
It is so good to be home, but the waking up so early isn/t good. Thanks Ava for having me park in your driveway.
It is warm here, not as bad as Scottsdale tho!!! Boy, Kathleen, oatmeal and blueberries sound great! My SIL had a big pot of coffee ready for me when Casey and I returned from our walk at 4:30 AM.
Chargers on TV today, so I'll watch it over at the daughters home.
What a nice trip I had. I haven't totaled the miles yet, but will do so soon. It is good to be home. lyn

Good mornin' gals!

I was up way early too, again I am the "driver". As we are having people over for fish fry at noon, guess I'd better get my house cleaned! LOL Silly DH planned it without thinking about the Bears playing at noon! I'll probably miss most of the game, don't want to be rude to my "guests". :(

My poor friend called me yesterday about getting some clothes for her; she's very unhappy with the rehab place she's at but there isn't any other one she can go to. I packed up her clothes and her brother will come and pick them up to bring to her today when he visits.

Carolb, this coldish weather caught me too. Yesterday I finally got TC winterized, just in time for the temps to go down to freezing. Whew! Now to get her covered up.

Lyn, glad you made it home safe & sound! It was fun to meet you even tho' only shortly in KS.

Kathleen, I think that dang ol' black hole made an appearance here too; I was missing a funnel and hose I use to winterize the TC. Then some zinc lozenges dissappeared too. I told my DH they fell into the same black hole as the funnel. So I bought some more and guess what appeared? Yep, both the funnel and the lozenges! Funny how when you are looking for something and can't find it and buy a replacement the original shows up soon after!

Well, I'm off (boy is THAT an understatement!) everyone take care!

Good morning ladies
thanks for letting us know you made it home safely Lyn. Scout looked for you all day, poor little guy seemed depressed
looking out at the empty driveway but was fine and went on to other things after I put my car back in the driveway.
Made a trip to home depot yesterday to get the few supplies I needed to finish that last panel on the fence, (spent a
whole $3.72) then just barely get started into my chore and the battery dies on the screwgun. Ok....guess thats the
chore for today as I've had the battery on the charger all night and will get this last section done and I can think about
painting next weekend.
Laundry is all done for the week, fishbowl is clean and the betta is happy again, dishes are done.....maybe I'll add getting
the vacuum out to clean up dog and cat hairs as I never did that last weekend.
Time for another cup of coffee and a couple cereal bars. The sun is up now and as soon as I know my neighbors are up I
can start in on my fence project as I wouldn't want to disturb them with noise.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe. Hoping you all have good weather and prayers for those having health issues.
Somewhere with Ava and Maggie

My RV is parked in the church parking lot with car in tow. After services, I will move to Silver Springs State Park. See the GTG thread for updates on the GTG.

The RV wash and Poli-Glow treatment came out great yesterday. Looks like a new RV on the outside. I had that done last year and it held up well, so decided once a year will be a good plan.

Heading into church now, see you later.

Looks like it is going to be another pretty day here. I may check out the Vulture Fest this afternoon down in Makanda. Yes, really a Vultlure fest :D There is a always good music and lots of great crafts for sale. The little village of Makanda is like stepping back in time. Here is a link that tells more about it. http://villageofmakanda.com/ it is located in really a beautiful area.

I think it has warmed up a bit so best take the little ones for a walk, if I walk them separately it puts lots of steps on my Fitbit!

Carol isn't it time for you to head out, 29 sounds like it to me!

Good morning all! Started to post and Rascal put his head on my ipad...it's on my lap and poof, it was gone! Thanks, dog! So got another cup of coffee and will try again! Looks like another cool wet day here. I need to mow at least one more time and the leaves are really falling! My driveway is full of yellow leaves! Wet yellow leaves! So that project will wait until it dries out a bit!

Carolb, the pup is doing fine. Two screws in his leg that will come out in a couple of weeks. Until then he is supposed to stay quiet. No running, jumping and so on but at least he's home with his family. Lyn, glad you made it home safe and sound. Sounds like Peg and Donna are having a good time! So much to see and do on the east coast! I'll never see it all! And you ladies keep adding things to see and do to the list! So much and so little time!

No jury duty again this week! So I can make it to the appointments this week and not have to change everything around! Yippee! Only one more call in and it'll be done. I think the leaving at 6 in the morning to get there on time is the biggest drawback! I am so not a morning person!

Well, think I'll go out and beat the bushes to see if the newspaper is hiding. Didn't see it earlier but who knows, it might be there! The delivery person throws it from his car so I never know where it might be! Have a fun and safe day, everyone.

Good Morning,

So nice not to have to bundle up to sleep - gonna love warm weather for awhile! Yes, Carolb, when are you heading out?

Lyn, glad you are safely home! Another fun GTG about to start - guess I haven't even checked lately to see who will be there! Ava, wish my laundry was done!

That black hole must get pretty full at times! :) LeRoy spent most of the summer looking for a brush he bought - finally found it. You would think it would be hard to lose something in these small spaces!!

Excitement in Walmart lot last evening as girl was handcuffed and her car was impounded.

I changed my reservations at Cottonwood and will check in today for 3 weeks of full-hookups! Still debating about hiring the rig washed or doing it myself (which I like to do). I have two throw rugs covering the floor and have bought this year's replacements - they really take a beating. Lots of inside cleaning to do - both camper and truck.

Hope you all have a great day!

Another beautiful morning. I managed to sleep through most of Sunday Morning. That is one of my favorite shows.

I got my flu shot on Friday. My arm is still sore. They usually don't bother me. Now that Harold is out of the hospital he is talking about taking the pneumonia shot that he has refused for years. They would have given it to him in the hospital.

We always have things disappearing down that black hole. I bought a big bag of pipe cleaners to use to clean the hummingbird feeder. I looked and looked for them and finally gave up and put it on my shopping list. Yesterday I was looking for something else and there they were at eye level on a shelf in plain sight. I am always losing things in my motorhome. My tools seem to walk because it's too handy to get one and not put it back. I unloaded a lot of things when I took my motorhome to get the refrigerator replaced. I need to check and see what needs to be loaded because I have a trip in 2 weeks. Can't wait to go somewhere.

Carolb, when I run a heater in my motorhome I use one of the indoor/outdoor thermometers with a remote. I put the outdoor sensor in the back window of the motorhome and the indoor part in a window in the house. I can then check to see that the heater is working in the motorhome without having to go outside. I sure hope we don't have a winter like last year.

Martha I think you are very clever with the thermometer idea.
Speaking of black holes, in 08 we did our one big trip in the big bus. We already had both kitty girls microchipped, but before trip I bought them each a collar and put their rabies tag and a ID tag with our cell phones on it and tried to get them to wear them. Being basically 100% indoor except walks on harness and leash kids, they were not used to collars. Stormy kept pulling hers off using both back feet, but I kept trying. Mandy seemed ok with hers. Then one day we left them in the bus while we went to eat. Mandy had collar on when we left. When we returned Mandy was sleeping on the sofa minus collar. We have searched the bus for years now and never found the collar. She hid it real well. You would think in that limited space we would have found it by now! So I get it when someone says they lost something in their coach!
