Wednesday, you have proof

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday, you have proof

Postby carolb » Wed Oct 08, 2014 6:12 am

G'morning all :)

Oh Irmi! You sneak  BJ had offered to post the pic for me, but I told her "do they really care about a garage" Well now everyone knows it's for real  You're right Beth, this has been a loooong time in the making...So thanks Irmi & BJ...& BJ, I was thinking I'd offer garage space for your hubby's storage, but when I cram my car in there this winter, there won't be an inch to spare   Glad to hear Elsie has a warm home for winter.

The rain held off til last night, so yes, got the garage somewhat organized yesterday. More importantly, all the garage "junk" that had been sitting in my yard for all the neighbors to see, is now out of sight. So today is housecleaning.

Sarah & Martha, I'm looking forward to being a "silver sneakers" member, but we don't have a 24hr Fitness here--think that's the gym that participates. But I'm thinking I could take advantage of them when I travel across country?

Kathy, hope your Buddy is okay... Carol & Bill, on the road today?...Donna, how are kidney stones? Kathleen, you're not on here early, so I hope that means you're getting some sleep ;)

Coffee! Y'all have a great day & safe travels always 8-)

Made it to Florida panhandle yesterday. Was up early this morning, so went out to shoot the blood moon.

Visiting Nan here for 3 days, and we'll have a mini gtg with Bob from ORS later today. This morning we're driving up to Crestview to pick up our mail.

Mornin' Carol, Liz & all that follow ~~~

Nice garage Carol - don't fill it up too quickly or you'll need a 2-car :D

Great pic of the blood moon Liz. I saw it this morning, but it wasn't as vibrant as your pic. Are you at your final destination in FL?

Found something new to take one of my weekend day trips to. They've brought wild bison to Illinois!! I know there are some small herds here (ie Wildlife Prairie SP and a few others), but these were brought in from the prairie in far west Iowa. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-bison-return-illinois-met-20141006-story.html#page=1

At work (ugh) so best get {{{shakin}}}. Have a good day everyone & if you're on the road stay safe.

Morning.

Hope nobody minds, but I'm a tea sort of person, not a coffee sort! :)

Beautiful picture Liz, I'm on the other coast, and it's fogged over, no moon to be seen!

Today is laundry day after work! WEEEE :) But having clean clothes again makes it all worth it!!

With Love,

Morning all,

Ava, Irmi posted the pic of Carolb's garage in yesterday's MC.

I didn't sleep well last night. Yesterday's news at the vet's office was not good, it's another mast cell tumor. They had openings on the surgical schedule today so I just got back from dropping Buddy off for another surgery. In the past 6 weeks he's had 3 surgeries-2 for his ear hematoma and now this one. I'm surprised that he even enters the door when we go there.

Not much else of note here today. Doing laundry and waiting on the call to go pick B-man up when they're done. And of course, walking dogs! Maybe I can sneak in a nap later this afternoon.

Liz, nice shot of the moon. I intended to get up early to see it but didn't make it. Enjoy your gtg with Nan.

Cheryl, I'll have to check out the story about those bison!

Ava, is it pink for Breast Cancer Awareness? It would be neat to see everyone in pink in a pic!

Carolb, don't cram too much stuff in that new garage!

Hope all the others are doing ok and that health issues are getting better and weather issues are resolving themselves. Have a great day gals!

Kathy

Beautiful picture of the moon. Yesterday when I was coming home about 6:00 I noticed the moon. It looks bigger than usual and had a pink tint. There was a lot of smoke in the air and I thought that was causing it.

I think I got all my errands run yesterday. I even got my hair cut. When the dew burns off the grass I think I will mow before Harold decides he needs to. He has been walking on the tread mill very slowly. This morning he has picked up speed. Guess he is feeling better. He hasn't said anything about trying to drive yet.

I bought some chicken yesterday and think I will bake it with a package of stuffing mix for lunch. Some of my concoctions are ok and others not so good.

Liz, thanks for the moon shot. You saved some of the rest of us from getting up early to take our pictures. Give Nan a hug from me.....You keep reminding me of why I really need/want to get out of Ohio this winter......

Carolb, I need to take a picture of the small Home Depot storage shed I put in near the driveway. I got tired of not having anywhere convenient to put my camping and kayaking stuff. Inside stuff I can drag to the upstairs storage area which I also think of as general furniture and household objects storage but a pain in the back to haul things in and out of. The irony of the storage question is that the house has an attached two car garage full of an old MG midget that does not run, a work bench and piles of someone's tools and stuff one can barely walk through. There are also two large older cement block sheds in the back yard full of mowers and off wheel vehicles and more stuff. I think he keeps his motor cycle in his 24x24 pottery studio....you get the idea. Nagging is not one of the things I do....I just buy myself my own shed and now I have the room to put and find my own important stuff, very easy to load and unload from the rig and the car...... :D

Yes I did sleep better last night... got 6 hours! do not know why I am sleepless a lot of the time but maybe that is because I catch myself napping in my chair...
Now we know what your garage looks like and yes we are curious about the details of everyones life...
Liz that is such a great picture! Kathy there is a lot of ice cream left in my freezer...
My daughter Margie called me last night and said John will talk to the insurance agent... so now I need to get all of the things together so he can call him... makes me nervous...
Off to get things together... my meal yesterday was so good... what todays brings I am not sure.. but oatmeal and raisins was breakfast...
Donna my husband had stones and it was awful... when they tested them it was from something in tea and orange juice that was the make up so he had to cut them down...
Take care everyone and enjoy what ever life brings...

Past morning in Cortez, Colorado. I slept in, we had a 10 a.m. pow wow about where to travel after Mesa Verde and I did my shopping. Next will be Arches and Canyonlands.

Donna, hope that stone is gone - late hubby dealt with those a time or two.

Carolb, last I looked there are several gyms that participate in Silver Sneakers.

Yesterday's train ride was a mixture of rock face and ahhhs! The view into the 'gorge' was the big 'ah'. Waterfalls, beautiful colors, no wildlife until we got back near Durango then saw deer and elk. Really a pretty day, and I am so glad we did it during fall colors! If anyone has ideas of doing this ride, a few hints - be aware that people may open windows and enclosed car gets cold; if you decide to ride train one way and bus the other, I recommend sitting on east side of train (right side up; left side down); this is probably the rockiest train I have been on and when going slow, I felt nauseous for a short period (unusual for me). No matter which side you sit on, the view changes from side to side but the gorge is the biggie.

Okay, gotta run....L is here - again.

Have a good day, safe travels and Liz, what a beautiful photo

One of the prettiest and scariest drives I have ever done was from Grand Junction to Durango. We spent a few hours in Silverton. I tried to get my friends and boys to ride the train to Durango but they didn't want to. After we get half way to Durango the train passed and they wanted to ride. Too bad, you missed your chance.
