WOW! I'm not sure if I get HGTV channel....can't remember if Cedar uses Dish TV or Direct TV....but, if she can get it, I'll try to hunt it down! Of course, it's going to be like 9:00 pm for me to watch it, and I have to get up at 4:30!! I LOVE RV shows!

What does HGTV stand for, or do I just look for those letters??

I heard that HGTV was going to drop their RV program. It won't affect your show tonight, but I guess it might be the last one.

Most of the rigs were on the very high end for cost. Even the Bs were out of sight financially. Oh well, I'll be happy with my Chalet for years to come!

You said it! Holy cow, those rigs cost WAY more than most houses!!! Those people considering anything like that must be extrememly RICH!! I am so very satisfied with what I have!

Can you imagine that one that opens up a veranda/patio section up here in the north country, Cedar! Good grief, with a little frost, it would have to stay open on the road!!

Being as we attend this RV Show when we are home...I can tell you that there are lots of reasonably priced RVs there. The show just showed the high priced ones.....and that one with the deck was there the year before, so it's not new......Yes, it is billed as the largest RV Show in the US.....Good walking shoes are a must, but they do run a shuttle service like they have at the Disney parks (train-like), and lots of places to sit down.....just a little info if anyone wants to go in Sept......We watched the TV show last night....and laughed about the rain.....it seems to always rain at least 1 day during the show....

Many of the big RV makers are filing for bankruptcy. I think one of the reasons is they didn't follow the market. They are still making units that sleep 8 to 10 people, when there are a lot of people who only want one bed, 2 at the most for a guest. Also the electronic age is with is and we want to take it with us. We need a space for a desk for our laptops and printers. I wonder if they are really looking at what people want. They also need to be designed by people who actually use them and get a woman on the job for storage space and decorating.
Remember Schwinn bikes, the best bicycle maker in the world? They ignored the growing trend for lightweight bikes and mountain bikes. They didn't keep up with the market needs and they were gone.

They were also giving retail prices. You should never pay retail on a new rv. Many say to take 30-35% off the retail price on a new rig. I've seen some sell for less.

I went to the Hershey show when I was in PA in August 2007, I think? Interesting they were saying that was 2009 - as that show is in August. They bill it as the largest outdoor rv show as Lori said. It is big - has some of everything at it - I enjoyed going to it. But, one reason I go to these shows are for the accessories, etc - and that show had almost nothing - that was a total bust.
