Amazing what an anti-b can do--started on it yesterday, & feeling much better already:) Woke this morning with enough oomph to open up my laptop first thing:lol:

Velda, hope things continue to go well for your DH. Martha, they say MEN are the worst patients, & you expected your DH to listen to the doctor Wishing good health to all!

Will harvest the last of my garden--spaghetti squash, pumpkins, beets & a bit of spinach left out there. Looks like today & tomorrow will be our last good days for a while. Garage? Will it be built in the rain--I bet you're all on pins & needles waiting to hear

Good morning to All - glad the meds are working for you Carol - it's so good to feel good after being not so good. I hope that once we get into our trip and get further west Bill will start feeling really good. For the last week he's been somewhat better - change in weather here and he quit taking all the allergy meds m- they were making him sleepy and antsy!
We are working on loading the Alfa for our annual "get the heck out of here before it snows" trip. By Sunday it is supposed to be a HIGH of 54 during the day. We are scheduled to leave sometime next week - or as soon as the prescription company will let us have the extra meds for the winter. If we stay in the states we don't need them. But if we end up in Mexico for any amount of time we have to have them.
Still not sure where we will end up spending winter - southwest or Mexico. I guess we'll know the day we cross the border.
We are starting to load up the Alfa - but mainly with stuff we use daily - clothes, kitchen stuff, food, etc. So just doing it in bits and dabs. And wouldn't you know it is supposed to rain the next four days.
All of you already on the road stay safe, and those of you getting ready to go somewhere - don't work too hard.

Good Morning
Still chipping away at a monstrous to do list - progress is so slow. Annual service done on HVACs at all the houses, quarterly pest control out of the way, bills caught up, washing done, got flu shot, renewed drivers license (photo from he..), made trip to campground to get more stuff out of Magic then walked out without tomatoes and peanut butter so will have to go back for them - need to do some cleaning anyway, and I signed up for Silver Sneakers program.
I had forgotten about the Silver Sneakers until someone mentioned it on FB. I do not have a good track record for going to gym (probably been 30+ years since last attempt) but hoping to do better. I've lost some weight and my arms look so bad I may never be able to wear a short sleeve shirt again. Goal is to try to put some muscle back in them.
Bookkeeping is completely out of control; am dreading getting back to it.
Looks like I need to find something fun to put on that nasty list.

Carolb, glad you are feeling better! That bug has hung around much too long. Garage? You really think it will show up?

I forget about Silver Sneakers as well, Sarah. I'm not often where there would be a gym, but should use it when I am.

Martha and Velda, glad the hubbies are doing well!

So many chores, I didn't get to photos yesterday from the last of my Kansas visit. Cousin scheduled 9 a.m. tour of cattle feedlot - some of you know that is way too early for me if there is a choice! This is the time of year they are stock piling feed and they had a huge pile of ground corn. They treat it so it will pack down and not mildew. Anyway, it was so funny to see all these tractors (maybe 10 of them) on this huge pile driving up, down and around to pack it down. Looked like a bunch of little boys playing.

I have a short drive today to Fountain, Colorado north of Pueblo. Someone is already telling me what to do! I don't understand how I manage to survive on my own!

Anita, wanted to give you a big thank you before I forgot. I did purchase the recommended purple jug of cleaner from Walmart and though I did have to apply more than once on those large squished cemented bug remains on the bottom, I was able to wash/spray the front of my rig clean of the MO and KS bugs without damaged to my body. Thank you. thank you , thank you......

The directions on the package recommended according to what you were using it for. I must admit I did not dilute for the cemented dead bugs...

Tina, glad you found it worked well! It really does better when brushed, but I was impressed with how much came off just with the hose at the car wash. Undiluted for bugs, Sharon. I just asked and yes, it does take the wax off so that can be a drawback.
Duh, guess it says that right on the front of the bottle!

Arrived Fountain, Colorado, so L and I are catching up. It's his turn to be researching new trucks so that's the main topic right now!

I hate the gruesome bugs on my motorhome, especially the ones right beside the door, so I will get some of this. I did go to Blue Beacon today for an RV wash--costs less than $30 for under 30 feet and $35 for over 30 to the next step, which of course I can't remember. They use wands, but basically it is a hand wash--no big machines with brushes to catch on the roof stuff. Considering my sore hands, it is a real bargain and they get ALL the bugs off. Course that was 60 miles back so I have some new bugs already.

Can you use the purple stuff on windshields?

Must say that I did use a soft brush.....but it did not require the scrubbing muscles that would have otherwise been needed. I only used it on the front for the bugs.....

My rigs manual comes with specifics on what to use/not use. I must admit I'll probably fudge here and there, but I don't think I'll try that if it removes the wax!

I figured that if I needed to rewax an area it was worth it to remove the amount of cemented bugs that were there. The majority of the front of my rig is window and engine grill. I can tolerate what little waxing might be required in the trade off. I didn't use it on the whole rig. It wasn't needed everywhere.
