Really not my fault

Postby bluepinecones » Mon Sep 29, 2014 12:23 pm

My Mom is pissed just because I made a little hole in the ground and got my face and feet dirty. She thinks it was my fault because I went after a pesky chipmunk just before dark. She was mean to me and stuck chin and feet in bucket of cold water then tried to wipe me off. I got even when she let me back in the house - I finished cleaning mouth on her clean sheets! I may need a new home.
Help!

BTW: In case you don't know, I'm a white dog when clean.

Aw MOM. He was free, finally free after being restricted by a leash for weeks. He had to make the yard safe once again and regain control of the chipmunks. I'm sure he was thinking about your safety. ;) ;) :P

Sophie and Baxter completely understand. Sometimes you just gotta be a dog. Our Mom said Nikki can come live with us - no squirrels in our yard tho and she does tend to kiss on you a lot.

Doesn't your Mom realize that the bed is the perfect place for you to go when wet and dirty? I mean - it's such a safe and wonderful place - and when I'm angry with my Mom, I go up and dig out HER pillow to lie on. I only do it when she is going to leave me to do that mean 4-letter word, "work" instead of spending the day with me. And occasionally when my paws and belly are still dirty and wet from playing in the water - so, yes, you did ok, and your Mom really does love you - so you'll be okay. Just maybe give her some extra attention - she likes that,

Awwww Nicky, you know you can't catch those silly ol' chippies. But if your Mom is really mad at you, you can come up to Illinois and stay with us a while til she cools off.

Love,
Buddy

p.s. tell Mom be glad it wasn't a skunk!

Thanks for all the support and offers for a place to hide. The wine and chocolate seems to help a little, thanks for that suggestion too. I'll try getting back on bed tonight. If she rubs my tummy and lets me sleep there, I'm okay. If she makes me sleep on the floor again, I might show up on your door step.

aw Nicky - glad Mommy has forgiven you, but you just trot on over to my house if you have to sleep on the floor again.

Oh Nicky, I too love to dig for those things that burrow under the ground. I even caught one once but my Mom took it away from me after I killed it! Casey
