Fall wreath project

Postby BarbaraRose » Sat Sep 27, 2014 9:40 pm

I bought some fall items at Jo Ann Fabrics a few weeks ago, and today I decided to put them together in a wreath for my door...

That is really nice. I used to decorate but anymore I seem not to have time or motivation. Glad you shared this lovely project.

Thanks! It was fun and easy to make. I might make another one for Christmas with snowflakes instead of leaves.
One of my neighbors still has her X-Mas wreath on her door from last year !

I'm afraid if I put up a Christmas wreath it might still be up. I didn't even get my tree out last Christmas. I have a friend that decorates for just about every holiday. She even decorated for Valentines Day. When I do get my tree out after Christmas I put Mardi Gras decorations on it and it can stay up for another month or two. I should get some Easter decorations and it could stay up another month. lol

In one of the neighborhoods I lived in I use to pass a house everyday on the way to work. There was the most beautifully shaped "Christmas" tree in their front yard. The owners would decorate it for every holiday. Every month was a different look. It was fabulous. I could see it working for you.

I like the wreath Barbie. The snowflake wreath would carry you through New Year's. You too can change wreaths out for all holidays, seasons and special occasions.

Good job, barbie.

Martha, I managed to leave a Christmas tree up one year - just changed decorations for Valentine then St Patrick's Day and on to Easter. Couldn't think of anything after Easter so finally took it down.

After Easter it's spring decor, followed by Patriotic decor for Memorial Day which can stay until July. Then hang beach gear for summer, followed by school stuff and Halloween then fall and you're back to Christmas again. See, got ya covered. LOL
Velda whose husband helps take tree down as soon as he can convince me, usually just after New Years.

I'm not much into decorating but that sure is pretty Barbie.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

I still have my Nativity set up from last Christmas. Forgot to put it away with of the rest of the Christmas stuff. BUT if it wasn't displayed in that place the Last Supper plaque on an easel would be there. SO I just call that my Jesus spot and he's either coming or going. ;)
