Yeah, she was pretty nice and by day two so was he. I did say it was a quiet little park. Well, that was before night two when the two trains went through our sites. I was okay cause I LOVE trains but I'm guessing the others were cussing.

Velda, I have about twenty different Indian flute music CDs. Got some of them at pow wows and some on line at Amazon. Carlos Nakai is a wonderful flute players.

Oh Karen, I would have paid to have seen you go toe to toe with that guy! You also could have told him that you were the front runners of one of out gtgs and that about 20 of us were on our way there right that minute!

Thanks Karen I will go looking. A few years ago a woman from this area was nominated for a Grammy for her flute playing. I forget if she was Maidu or another local tribe, but I never did get to hear her play. Not been to a pow wow but would like to. Was personally invited once but we could not go the 500 miles at the time. It would have been a unique opportunity since we were invited by a member of the tribe.

Just a short addendum...I sat out drinking coffee the next morning and saw five bird species while everyone was still asleep. I never heard the trains.....lyn
