And you're all to blame!

Having so many of you come to Kansas (who would have thunk) & getting to meet you personally has defnitely given me direction after my current '9-5' life.

I've called this group a really great group of women before I met you & now I have more adjectives to add.
This is an amazing group of wise, strong, independent, caring & diverse women that I am so delighted to have joined! :D

My niece posted this youtube video in response to my enthusiastic status on FB about the GTG. She mentions my aunt Genevieve in her comment & I relay it to all of you...
Aunt Catherine, you need to listen to this Cheryl Wheeler song. It makes me think of strong women like you and Genevieve out on the road, getting the most out of life

And for those who enjoyed 'Geritol Gypsy' on the Roam, Sweet Home video - here's a youtube of it:

Can't wait until I meet each one of you - on the road...

Thanks for those links Catherine! I have decided that I will now refer to us 'ladies of an age' as Geritol Gypsies. Much more defining! What a hoot that DVD! So just start donating and giving things every week and you will eventually see the dent. Buy only necessary items, says she who has too many clothes in her rig; listen to what I say NOT do as I do! It is fun just seeing things you haven't seen for a bit. The children get some of their things you were holding for them, I.e. They start collecting!

You are going to have fun...already have an idol! Go girl.

Catherine, I'm so glad you had a wonderful time and that you got to meet many. Unfortunately not me and many others. Hopefully we'll correct that down the road. :-)

Yes Beth - this was a great group but there are many others I look forward to meeting - you among others...

What great songs!

So glad you had such a wonderful time meeting the ladies.

Starts are wonderful. So many I've met, so many more to meet. Ah, yes, I'm so deprived living this lifestyle.

Really glad to know we didn't scar you away with your first gtg.
So have you decided to retire early and hit the road?

Catherine, thank you so much for all you did to make the GTG happen. I know you're going to say you didn't do anything, but those of us who were there know you did. It was such a pleasure to meet you and all the other ladies personally. I'm so glad I decided to attend. Everything was perfect!

I will have to add that full timing is really a great lifestyle. I wish I had been able to retire earlier but I would not have been able to afford it any sooner.

To people who ask if I am lonely, I tell them I have met some very interesting, very gutsy ladies! It is the best way to travel because you take your home with you--no packing and no dirty hotel rooms.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your 1st GTG, Catherine....they are always great fun...and in reality, we all are at all the GTGs because of great gals who take the photos and post them along with a narrative that entertains and informs...(Sarah did a bang up job in KS... ;) ) Then takes the time to post them here for all of us who didn't make it there to enjoy....Thanks, again, Sarah....

And don't worry about meeting more "Sistahs" I've been here as long as Beth, and I've yet to meet everyone, but am working on it....

Catherine, I am so glad you so enjoyed your first GTG. Think many of us said at first, post a date, suggest a CG and we will come !! Now you know that's about all it takes, that and a decent date for the area, if you suggest dates for the snowy time :o , forget me, as I've been out there then. With Sarah's posting of pictures, its seems you all had a really super GTG, one which I sadly will always regret I missed. Of all the trips I have made in that area and then to miss the first GTG out that way and to miss meeting so many of the ladies from the west I so wanted to meet.

So set a date for next yr, same CG can even be used. Only you must realize you aren't expected to offer anymore food then anyone else does, we all just pitch in usually. Seems you over did your part and are all paid up through a couple of future GTG's. Its always appreciated by the rest of us, for some one local to pick a CG out to meet at. Sometimes several will pitch in with suggested dates for a GTG.

So glad everyone had such a great time,
CArol :)
