You were over-the-top in making is such a success! :P (oops, I mentioned that Lyn is 20 yrs older than me--error! she's ONLY 19 yrs older  )

Peg & I will be back on the road this a.m. We've contacted Kathleen--a mini gtg with her on Thurs!!! We have about a 6-7 hr drive today to get to my sis's.

Donna, glad you're back on the road. All the gtg-ers, hope you're having safe travels to home or wherever. Y'all have a great day 8-)

Good morning all. It sure is great to look at all the pictures from the KS gtg. So much fun. I sure wish I could have been there. But I feel like I was there with all the great photos. Safe travels to everyone as you head you own way. We are working hard at down sizing so we will be able to hit the road more often and for longer. Our house is on the market with lots of activity since we listed it on Sat. We are in the process of buying another house. Much smaller (mega downsize), but in a guarded gate community that allows you to park your RV on the property. In November, DH will finally get a new knee. So, if we survive the stress of all this, there should a lot of CG spots with our names on it soon. Y'all have a great day and safe travels.

Good morning all. I've been following all the fun in KS and loved all the photos! Looks like everyone had a great time. Hope to be able to attend one of these GTG's and get to meet some of you. Donna, glad you finally was able to make it to your daughter's and get to enjoy the new baby! Been quite a saga for your start to FL! Just got my RV back the other day, took her in for extenders on the back tires and got a call saying a couple of the tires were starting to crack. So told them to replace them all. Ouch, but at least the tires are good. Could explain the low air pressure on my last trip! Wondering about getting covers for the tires? Does it really help the life of the tires? Carol and Peg, sounds like you had a great time at the GTG and are heading east. If you come through PA, pm me and maybe we can meet up for a mini gtg! Would love to meet you both. Next week my son, SIL and I are planning to head up to Elk county to see if we can see some elk and hear them. The fall colors should be great too! Just a day trip but son knows the area and knows the best places to go. Just hope I don't have to report for federal jury duty that day. I'm apparently on call for the whole month of Oct and have to call in every week to see if I have to report. It's a 90 mile drive to the courthouse. Not thrilled but guess it's something I need to do! Not sure how it works since I have dr appointments in between and they've been in place for several months. So anyway, time to go get showered and ready to start my day. Coffee is on, can't offer much else today since I need to get to the store! Add it to the list of things to do today! Safe travels, all!

Good morning from Betty's in Abbeville, LA...to Carolb, Donna, Chris, Sharon and all that follow...

Cooling off here...especially at night...makes it nice sleeping....suppose to be in the low 80s during the day this week..

The GTG photos are wonderful...

Not much more going on here....just relaxing and enjoying the folks here...

Now to get back to reading...hope I catch up soon.... ;)

Good morning
I'm running a little late getting back on the road this morning. If you can stand one more dose of KS gtg photos, I just posted Day #8 this morning and Day #7 last night. Promise this is the end of it.
Bought gas as I was leaving Council Grove yesterday for $3.19 and later in the day for $3.09. Saw a sign as I got to last nights destination for $3.05. Hope it stays down until all of us get back home (or where ever you are heading).

Need to get a move on… will check in tonight.

Good Morning,

Happy Birthday to Lyn!!

Sarah, thank you again for posting all the great photos. I am still on a high from this GTG!

Chris, I know you stil have much to face but hope life will go a little smoother from here on out..

Donna, cuddle that baby for me! Carolb and Peggy, glad you are having a much more relaxed trip home.

Othersharon, hope you find the elk. I heard my first elk bugle in Yellowstone 2 years ago - wow!

Stormed here yesterday so played catch up. Not the greatest today. Life gets back on a time schedule tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone and safe travels to all the sistahs on the road!

Carol - what time will you be by Kathleen? It's a little over 1 hour from my house - would love to see Kathleen again & meet you & Peggy if possible, but would have to be around 6:30 PM.

Mornin' all - so fun to read the comments about the KS gtg. Yes Sarah did a wonder job on pics. Sharon - you probably still did better than I would with rolling the kayak. Hopefully the water wasn't cold.

Everyone that is scattering back home from KS - and everyone else on the road also - be safe.

Hello !!! It isn't morning, but thinking some of you might be interested to know how my eye dr app went yesterday. Good, I thought, as I had some concerns, eyesight in right eye, where shingles were has not seemed right to me and I was a wee concerned. There was scarring and has effected my sight, which didn't surprise me as I don't see much out of it now at all. He said he would be able give me 80 % instead of 100 % in it. That sounded good to me, because I had thoughts of more issues with it. The big BUT of the day was the fact he wanted me to have a medical evaluation too, heart checked, lungs etc. So did that this morning, everything is fine, which I knew it was. :D Surgery for right eye, (bad one) is set for the 14th and left eye, 29th. With all kinds of check ups in between and all that stuff, I am going to that office until mid Nov. Its going to seem like forever. Hopefully after its all said and done, I will have my life back and will NEVER have to go to that office for any reason ever again. This yr has been more then enough

I called my driver today and found there might be a health issue there, so am thinking of an alternative as I need to go between now and the 8th which is an eye app I put as far out as possible so this trip could be done. Otherwise I only have 5 or 6 days between some kind of visit and that's not enough. I'll be into Nov. before trying for dr lic, it seems. Can't let tag go on vehicle though, that is a must !!!!! and has to be done before last day of Oct. If I can't go now, well won't think of that.

Except for walking into some kind of wall here, which is common this yr, most is going ok   I'm thinking mostly beyond all the crap to the end of it all, which seems to be coming faster these days, much to my great pleasure. :D

All in all my last two days, have been good ones, hopefully it has for all of you too. Those traveling from the great Ks GTG, wishing you all safe travels to wherever the road might be taking you.

Well, just SLAMMED hard into that stone wall !!!!. Just heard from my driver and seems the health issue is possibly a serious heart situation. So I have no driver, !!!! Another mountain to climb, somehow ~~~

So that's the very latest from here, but you know my health is good, so I can manage the rest,

It's still mornin' somewhere isn't it? ;)

CArol ~ good news eye & healthwise ~~~happy dance for you. No driver? This to shall pass, but hoping you can get to where you've got to be.

Kathleen - PM me your new phone number. For some stupid reason on thought Thursday was 2 days away - not tomorrow  That way I can call if my work day is running too long to make it down by you.

Ok - off to read the campfire - I could use a beer about now.
