generator door...

When running your genny ...should you leave
the access door on the rig open to vent it.?
I have never run mine for any length of time
just do the 30 min a month thing...
so need to know ....thanks

I have never heard anyone say that you need to leave the door open. Mine has a grill to ventilate it.

Are you planning to run the generator while you sleep? I'm such a worrier about things like carbon monoxide that I am afraid to do that. I think most rigs have a carbon monoxide alarm but things like that make me nervous.

I don't/won't run mine while sleeping either. Just won't take that chance. But those compartments in motorhomes are built with ventilation to allow use while the compartment door is shut ... the on/off switch inside makes our lives so much easier.
