Hey it's Saturday!!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hey it's Saturday!!!

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Holy smokes it's 8am and no one else is up to post??? Dang bunch of lazy sleepy heads. Come on ya'll morning wasting away for want. Get up, say "HI", do something!!!!!! It's Saturday, go play.

Have been having a good time here in NY. Only have just my oldest brother left to catch up with and visit. I will get that done today. I need to wake Kelly up at 10am so that she can take her shower and while she is in the shower I will call my brother. I tried to catch up with him yesterday but when I called no one was home. His partner finally did call back. He had been doing errands and grocery shopping and my brother was at the doctors. Then they had a party to go to. ~sigh~ But will do that catch up thing today. Will probably leave out tonight for home. Kelly called work yesterday to check on the schedule for us this coming week. B$(&%#@s have got us down to be into work at 10:30 Monday morning. Why???? Have no idea why, but I do know that means we are still stuck on night shift. Gods I hate night shift like that!!! Doesn't really leave much time for anything else. Working that shift like that will make sorting and packing up that much harder. Do a little bit in the morning for a couple hours then work all day and do a little bit at night when we get home for a couple of hours. It's not only seem like it's taking for ever. It will take forever.   I will have to make a mantra out of "Only 5 weeks to go", "Only 4 weeks to go", just keep repeating that over and over. Hmmmm Actually we only have 3 weeks left in the house. Oh crap!!! Will have to bust hump!

Ok it's time to go check my email and get my comic fix for the day!!! Got a few goodies out for this morning. My friend Laura donated some goodies for our coffee table today. Got Zucchini bread, Banana nut muffins and something she calls Friendship bread! I thought that would be perfect for this table!!! Can't find the Biscotti, have no idea what Barb did with it. And of course the coffee pot is full and waiting along with the tea kettle.

Hope everyone has a great day. Stay safe, warm or cool which ever is needed in you corner of the country.

Love to all

Good Morning, Echo, and all!

I can't believe the calousness of the people in that job you have now....I will be SO happy for you when you get out of there!

I hope you get together with your bro today, and that your drive home will be an easy one. Hard to believe you are actually in my state now! (Although, as Cedar says, a long way south of us.) Thanks for getting the coffee going!

Barb, hope you are having a restful weekend, and getting some much-needed recuperative sleep!

It's another above-freezing day here today, which means my driveway will be rather impassable for making a dump run....will have to wait for next weekend, and pray things freeze up once more. I surely hope that the frost temps aren't over yet!

So today I will work on my taxes to get the bad news of how much I will owe the IRS this year. Also do a laundry, and pack some of the larger, heavier things I will take to FL, like Molly's larger dog crrate and my bed-on-a-frame for the FL room so I can sleep outside down there. A friend is due to come for supper, IF she can get up the driveway! She'll probably have to wear mucker boots and walk in most of the way.

Hope you all have a good day, and don't forget to set your clocks ahead before you go to bed tonight so you can get up in the dark for another month. GRRRRRR!!!!! Also, replace all batteries in your smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.

Stay in touch!

Happy travels!

I'm here, just don't know if I am "bright eyed and bushy tailed" But the weather should be beautiful. Need to get to the Post Office and but stamps and send off the bills that I couldn't do easily over the internet. I finally got a photo head shot of Stuart to send in for his Therapy Dog ID.... By the time I finished, the camera battery was gone and the printer had run out of colored ink. It was good timing. I had so very carefully thought ahead and bought more ink...the problem was that the card in my wallet that I had oh so carefully kept, so that I would know which numbers to buy....you guessed it, it was the card from the last printer I had. When I put in the tri color pack the printer let me know that it wouldn't work. We won't even talk about the cost of print ink. We learn a lot of things in life. Lesson learned. Wrote new numbers on the card and will have to get some more. I am sure that they will fit in someones printer......Enjoy the day...nice part of books on tape is that I don't might running errands as much as I used to :)

I'm up, I'm up, good morning
yep, I was getting lazy and took my time getting here, I'm on spring break all next
week and plan on doing some gravel removal in the yard over these first couple days.
I figure if I hurt myself I want the extra time to heal before I have to go back to
work but god forbid I throw my back out or anything like that. But it has to be done,
poor Bandit has cut his pad a couple times on the sharp rocks. It covers about 1/3rd
of the yard at this point, as I've already done some of it.
My strawberry plant is growing nicely, 5 green strawberries now, and my tomato
plant is doing well too. No blossoms on it yet though.
I'm also feeling the stress of the economy today, just did my payday budget, yikes!
All the bills will be paid but leaves me nothing for groceries, I see lots of pbj and
ramen for this two weeks. I'm so thankful I have a job though, no bus drivers are
getting laid off but some teachers are, and we are taking cuts in our time card.
Hopefully that will not effect me since I have alot of seniority. I can retire in 5 more
years and in two years I'm 100% on my retirement benefits. Woohoo!
Guess I'll get my coffee refill and make some toast. Gotta do dishes and tidy up a little
before I go out, saving laundry for another day.
Have a good day, be safe and enjoy the weather.

Good Morning!

It's a glorious day here, very warm... already 45° and sunny. I had coffee out on the deck for a few minutes.

Our girls varsity team won last night.... a great game. trading the lead by two points all the way through the first 3 quarters.... then we were tied, one of our girls hit a three pointer,.... and then the other team commited a turnover,.... we scored again and were up by 5. In the end we won by 7 points. They were thrilled. A huge turnout from our home town traveled to see the game. We all go back again today for the boys finals. Winners will go on to the state regionals, then the state final four. Oh,.... has anybody guessed that I LOVE highschool basketball?

Ok gang,... i'm off to take a shower and get ready to hit the road back to Plattsburgh,... GO Eagles! :D

Good Morning! Wonderful news Cedar....hope the girls can go all the way! How many games do they have to play in the Regions? Excellent picture Liz! Our little town will be a ghost town next weekend....need to put up a sign that says "last one out of town turn off the lights!" Almost everyone will be heading to Aberdeen for three days to watch the girls play in the state tournament. We'll be here keeping everyone from stealing the pavement! We won't go because there has to be some firemen left in town in case of an emergency and since we don't have kids in high school Dennis will be one of volunteer firemen on call. Well have a good day everyone...I'm heading out to do a Wally World run...we're suppose to start getting snow late this afternoon thru tomorrow....then another blast on Tuesday. ugh
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good Morning everyone !
It's sort of rainy here today but the sky is bright so I'm thinking it'll clear off soon.
I'm not going to do much today - just hang out and do laundry and that type of thing.
I need to figure out where I'm going from here - I'm pretty sure Medford OR will be my first stop, then Redding CA - after that I'll be out of the mountains for a bit and I can plan for longer days on the road. I want to drive in the mountains during the warmest hours of the day so the roads will be clear (I hope). I think I'll drive down 5 and 99 and then somehow or another get to 10 to cross AZ - I came here on 40, but that's a colder area, the forecast shows it getting way below freezing at night in that area so poo on that route !! It'll be fun to go a different way anyhow ! I have the time to mosey.
Hope you all have a great day !!!

Well, I took a bunch of "stuff" to my friends site today to sell in the parkwide lawn sale. All those things I just had to have - probably sold about $100 worth of stuff - for $10. Got to learn to quit buying stuff. Sold most of my cutesie decorations I had on the wall of my previous site here. No wall at this site, and I refuse to travel with all that stuff. People got deals - some I sold for 25 cents. Otherwise they were going in the Ronald McDonald house bin here.

Best tho - is my CRS. I decided this morning to take my scooter out and over to her site and put a 4 sale sign on it. With all the people coming through, who knows - anyway, I was 1/2 asleep, uncovered the scoot, unplugged the battery tender, then went to start. Nothing. Thought maybe the battery tender hadn't been completely hooked and I haven't driven it for quite awhile. So went back without it (after hooking it back to the battery tender.) OK, just came home and decided to see if it was charged, Went over, looked at it while wide awake, and realized I was trying to start it by pushing on the emergency lights button. Duh! Needless to say, it started right up. Do you think it's trying to tell me I don't want to sell? I really don't - but am going to move it to the front of my site later today or tomorrow and put a 4 sale sign on it. If it sells for enough, I'll go through with it, if not, I'll probably store it at my g/f's house for the Alaska trip. Just decided I won't be using it on the trip - and don't want to damage it, etc - that's why I'm considering selling. I can always get another one another day.

OK - why do I admit to all of you when I do such stupid things?

P.S..... Love the pic Liz,...... thanks!

Yes, we WON... so now both the girls and boys have taken the sectional championship. On to regional next weekend. i think there is only one regional playoff to get to the state final four.
