Fall-ish Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Fall-ish Friday

G'morning all :)

Thanks goodness not winter-ish weather like Beth has  The cool front made it here--now are we glad summer is over, or are we in search of more of it ;) I do LOVE fall!

Donna, how great that you are still on target to leave next week. You've sure had a busy summer getting the house in order for sale. That china has to be worth something, I'd think! Surely, you'll find someone who appreciates it, even if it isn't your own family...Anita, must be a blast enjoying the grands in their everyday activities:) KS gtg'ers, counting the days! I have half a mind to jump into HarBor after my teeth cleaning appt on the 17th....?????

Too funny! The garage saga continues: Got a call that my order was "lost" & wasn't even on the truck that was in the accident  So another 4-6 week wait, but a "promise" that it's on "priority" status. Crikey, I think you're all right in that bro & I are tempting fate by not building our own

Mowing today--will be in jeans & sweatshirt :) Y'all have a great one & be safe--thinking good thoughts for all the travelers to KS! 8-)

Good Morning Everyone !!! Lost my post, every once in awhile IPad and Laptop will just flip off and back to desktop. Upset, NOOOOO. !!!!!!!

Will repeat: what a wonderful breeze I have coming in, all windows and door open, loving it !! Maggie loves looking out, so do I. We have a new neighbor, Huge and close on one side now, claustrophobia here I come. Big 40 ft class A, another one due in on the other side soon. I'm leaving next week, rig stays so I'll just look for the little black pod in amongst all the monsters when I return

Sarah, glad you chose that road nice huh?. I started driving it years ago when two lane, suffered through all the construction and last trip I made over it was so nice, finally. Think it's a beautiful ride. Sorry you missed the Wilder home, lots to see and learn there when you do get a chance to stop.

Spending the week end with my DD and grands. My last swim this summer as I leave next week for my next go around with eye dr., Sometime in Oct or so, will be trip to tag my RV in NC. Will bring rig back here, paid up till mid Nov, I have to vacate this spot by the 30th of NOV. Hoping then I am on the road and can get around and visit with all who plan to be down sometime during winter months.

Hope you all have a super nice day, I expect this thing to shut off anytime so if you find mistakes hope you get the jest of what I meant to say
Safe Travels for those on the roads, hope you're taking the time to enjoy the sights

Good Morning Carolb and others,

Chilly here this morning, looks like fall weather too. Course we get it before you do. In a way I miss the warmer weather but we had a cool. almost perfect summer far as I'm concerned, so since I too love fall, I'll take it. Trees are starting to show some color on a branch here and there.

Seems funny waking up this morning and not having to dispense pills and get a dog out for potty session. But at same time, I can feel the stress of not having to worry about her starting to lessen. didn't sleep that good last nght, but mostly due to brain being busy thinking of "other" things beside dog, Don't we do our best thinking when we should be sleeping

Geez Carol, by the time the garage comes, you won't need it. Hey, there are some places in MI here that make those things. Maybe you should look into it.

I've been watching the big collie seizure (136) from Tombull, TX as the dogs go through their treatments and so forth with the Houston Collie Rescue. That is a horrible case. Three collie rescue people from MI are leaving today to drive out and bring as many as a dozen back here to MI to foster. The breeder I got Sassy and Tessa from has put me on her list of updates as she receives them. They are going to need homes to foster them. I might do that. Will see how it plays out.

But for now I am heading to town and just monkey around. Looking at the end of the year clearance flowers to plant some for next year, going to Wally World etc. So will be a day to just putter around. Transplanted some small trees (pine/spruce) from neighbors yeard to mine yesterday. Haven't gone for my first no dog along walk yet, but weather hasn't been great for that. I am going to have to make sure I do that everyday as the dogs used to make sure I did

Donna, sounds like you are still on schedule. Good luck with listing and selling now. You deserve time to rest and reflect now and hit the road south.

Okay, enough jabbering about nothing here. You all have a great day out there. Beth, hope it warms back up for you.

Carol I truly think the garage is a figment of your imagination! sure hope it is on priority now... maybe you should hire the fellas that did Mitches garage/camper storage... it looks huge...
CArol glad for this time with your daughter... it has been a hard summer for you not going home like you planned...
Sue you have been in my thoughts and prayers... Sassy was a good companion for many years...
Everyone heading to the GTG be safe...

Sue, if you"foster" one of those collies, I'll bet you keep it!!! Sarah, sorry to hear about that leak. Looks like I will be following a storm when I begin my drive to KS? Hope Sharon and Sandi are doing OK in the rain.
Tonight is the rehearsal dinner and tomorrow is the wedding...then I get to leave! So anxious to be on the road.

A very late good morning!

I woke at 5 (rockin' with the wind?), finally went back to sleep at 6 and woke again at 10:30!! Love it!

Being in a lunch room with grade schoolers gives a new perspective on noise! It was fun to sit with Natalie and her friends.

Visited with aunt and uncle, ran a bunch of errands and came home done in - as always! Birdie came over and we had a good visit then nightly phone call with LeRoy so finished about 11. Then an e-mail from daughter here who hadn't had the best day. Among other things, they got GD's blood work report back and she has inflammation so increase in one medication. Will have blood recheck here in two weeks. Just not fair for 15 yo to have Crohn's Disease!

Carolb, thanks for the morning chuckle about the garage! Really tho, I'm sorry it has been such a hassle and still ongoing! You know Harbor is for jumping in and hitting the road when you want!! :D

Lyn, wishing you and all the other gals safe travels. I have been watching the weather in various places so hoping none of you run into anything too drastic.

Irmi, how frustrating to not have the repairs done correctly on you MH!

Hard to believe at this time next week we will be gathered in Council Grove!! So excited.

Started my morning earlier than I want, as usual with spam phone calls. Of course we ignore them but the ringing still wakes us. Anyhow, still summer here at 100 degrees or close daily for past few and a few more. It was 72 by 9 thus morning. I look forward to fall and soups in crockpot. The decision is made for hubby to have hormone suppression and radiation but not to start until after small surgery to close a leak in last summers skin graft in roof of mouth. Hope when all is done we can get back to rv'ing and having some fun. Have a good day all.

I'm spending my second day at Dinosaur Nat'l Monument on the Utah/Colorado border. No rain here. Beautiful, clear blue skies. It is a little cooler today. Staying at Green River CG right next to the Green River.

I also wanted to show you my pups. Krissi is riding in her stroller because her feet get sore walking on rocks. Abby gets to walk.

Cute picture of the dogs, Sandi. Glad you are enjoying good weather.

It was nice and cool in PA today. Saw a black bear walking through the cg yesterday afternoon, and this morning a flock of wild turkeys came through. Thistle was fit to be tied!

Driving day today....2 1/2 hours is all. Camping at Cabela's tonight. Walked all through the store and didn't find anything to buy.

Having fun in Albuquerque..dinner with old friends last nite and spent today with my dad. Took him out to run errands he needed to do and helped him pick out some furniture for his new apartment. Picking him up again in a while for dinner. He buys so I'm all for it! LOL! Leaving in the morning for Dalhart, Tx for 1 nite, Liberal, Ks to see Dorothy of Oz house and then a nite in Dodge City. There's a casino there I haven't been to. Where's Anita or Evie, my casino buddies when I need them?? LOL! Windy as heck here, hoping it dies down tomorrow when I get on the road, but not holding out any great hopes. Wifi is bad here so gonna post before I lose it, will check back in when I can. Sandi, love your campsite!

Sandi - Love your site and the fur babies. Jealous of the sunshine.
Got off the road about 3:00 after driving in light rain and stiff wind most of the way. Nice uneventful day.
Rain has finally stopped for now but still windy. Heavy frost warning here tonight but that wind will have to die down. I've got the heater hooked up, found some warm clothes in here so should be good.
Really want some sun tomorrow so I can dry out bench seats, awning and my shoes.
Now to scrounge around to see what I tossed in here to heat in microwave - want something warm for dinner.
May just rest tomorrow. My Canning Creek reservation doesn't start Sunday, so excited.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
