sorry to hear of this, its never an easy decision but a very important one we all have to consider when we have pets.

So sorry to hear about Sassy, Sue. Doing the right thing for our furbabies is never easy. They are all together at the Rainbow Bridge frolicking around free from pain and disabilities. Hugs to you.

Sue I am so sorry about Sassy. I hope you can find peace in knowing you were an excellent mom and that Sassy is now running and playing with Tessa and your other dogs.

It always puts a lump in your throat & sadness in your heart to see a post headline like this. Sue, you had a wonderful lifetime of love with Sassy & she knew it. I'm so sorry for your loss & I know the sadness in your home tonight. Hugs.

I'm so so sorry to hear this. As everyone has said, you did the right thing for your little Sassy. She will be waiting for you, free of pain and disabilities and when you meet again, you'll be surprised how fast she runs to jump into your arms. Sassy would probably be the first one to tell you to give a forever home to another dog to fill the emptiness in your heart. You'll know when it's best to do that.

So sorry Sue but be comforted by the fact that you did what you needed to for Sassy.

Thank you for the wonderful condolences ladies. It feels good to read them and have all your loving support around me. Yes, those little buggers as Mitch said, do manage to get in our hearts.

It has been a bit lonely around here, not so much durng the day as I'm busy doing things, but more in the evening hours when I am just puttering around on this computer or whatever. Seems strange not having a furry one curled up in her bed next to my bed after 12 years of 4 different dogs doing that. But I'm sure that will change down the road. Eventually I will welcome another "furry crew" member to the household and off we will go.
