Well I'm tired of the Wii telling me to lose weight ! But at least I DO see it go up and down and I AM getting closer to my goal for one month, I have a L-o-n-g ways to go to get to my ideal weight of 129 lbs. Need to add in Yard work as exercise, I'll be shoveling dirt most of the weekend from my neighbor's house to mine!

Jenny, I guess your neighbor must be out of town? Won't they notice the big hole in their yard and yours nice and smooth?

I am going to buy my first ever full-length mirror today. I think that if I can see my whole self it will certainly keep me motivated in keeping the weight off this time! ;) :o
I kinda fell off the wagon yesterday. I just had to have my popcorn fix! Also, when I bought a half turkey sandwich at the Paradise Cafe and Bakery the other day, they put a free chocolate chip cookie in the bag. I absolutely love their cookies! I should have trashed it when I got home and saw it, but instead put it in the freezer. Not sure what my mind was thinking at the time, but I called to me over and over so I eventually had to eat it, of course! I didn't beat myself up over it as that would have started me down the road to defeat. I got over it, put it out of my mind, and continued back to eating well again.

Hey, the way I see it, a little chocolate chip cookie every now and then is okay. It's when the whole dang package disappears before you know what has happened that you know you are in trouble BIG TIME!!!

But, you have the right attitude. Put it behind you and move on. Of course that is where all the chocolate cookies end up anyway...on my behind!

I would never beat myself up over that - just as I will never go on a diet that wouldn't allow me to eat that cookie. I will watch calories and exercise, but I will not cut anything out. I'm a firm believer in everything in moderation - portion control is the key. Now, when I have a handful of cookies instead of 1 or 2 - then I have a talk with myself. Like I eat ice cream - a quart can last me a long time - just a couple spoonfuls a night will usually take care of my ice cream desire, but if I have the desire and try to ignore it - when I finally get it out - I pig out on it.

My neighbor had a brick walled garden built and she had to have a bunch of dirt delivered but you have to order alot. Now she realizes she has WAY too much and so I am going to buy what's left for $20....I'm really getting the bargain but the work hauling it from her house to mine will be exhausting so I know I'll work off the Pizza I ate tonight & ice cream cake from a Boomer ( my RV group) birthday party.

After it is all done I'll flop into the recliner in the casita and snore!!! Still blows me away I got two for $20!!!! :D

Now how do I tell the cats it is N-O-T a giant litter box!!!

Oh I am so glad you explained that. I had visions of you puffing and panting with your wheelbarrows of dirt that you FOUND next door. Is DH going to help at all?

Beth, I agree about everything in moderation. What I didn't add was the fact that I'm a carbo-holic/sugar addict. I have little to no self control so I don't need those temptations in my home. Having a quart of ice cream and only allowing myself a teaspoonful a day would never work. It has to be out of my home completely.

Saturday weigh-in number two for me----down one more pound! It's not much, but it's better than gaining! I'll take anything I can get......if I can only do a pound a week for a while, until I can get outside and move around more, then I'll take it.

Come to think of it, I have a rowing machine/exercise thing down cellar...think I will bring that baby up here to the living room until weather allows outside stuff! Good idea, she says.....off I go to get it!

Congrats to all who have shown any kind of discipline this past week, loss, or no loss. Being aware is half the battle.
