I'm really going to miss those who have had to cancel also.

Catherine - Do you know if there is a good signal at the park for Verizon or AT & T?

Sarah,
I took an AT&T hotspot from work out there last time I was there & it had a pretty good signal - much better than my T-mobile phone connection. Won't bring that hotspot this time though since I don't plan on dealing with work issues while there. :D

Not sure about Verizon.

They offer wifi - at what I consider a fairly high cost - $5/4 hours, $10/24 hours, $25/72 hours, $40/1 week. They indicate availability is limited & can be determined by locating & connecting to the network & then checking the coverage map. Not sure if the time for the wifi is by the clock - in other words from noon - 4PM or by the minute (4 hours worth of wifi time). Depending on this - it could be considered more reasonable.

If Verizon is active there, anyone close to me can connect on my MiFi, up to 3 others. I will be using 2 of my 5 spots.

One week from today! My Cosy Camper just needs the food to be packed...everything else is ready! I have decided to drive the camper to the Saturday wedding, then spend the night at the daughters, and leave early Sunday morning. Hoping to make it to St. George first night. Excitement mounts!!! Lyn

Locked and loaded...ready to pull out in the morning. I'll be dodging thunderstorms all the way....can't take my favorite back way to Needles, road floods really bad out there so it's the I-40...Hate that road from Barstow to about halfwway to Needles. Pothole haven. Plus really heavy traffic in the morning. Darn!! Oh well, just so glad to get on the road!!

Up early for the dog show.....I still have two damp dogs that need to be blown out with the hair dryer. But we are also mostly packed because I am hoping to get back to the house tonight and leave Tuesday morning heading west. I have to figure out what dog show stuff to take out and how many kayaks to load! I know that I will try to bring at least two.

Enjoy the journey - we are supposed to have a few warmer days early this week & then hopefully things will cool down for the long haul.

I know some of you are getting there early next week - it's going to kill me waiting until next Thursday to join the fun! :)

And some of us...if we have time from all the fun....can post the pictures. Never know, when folks see how nice it is they still have a couple days to jump in their car or rig and drive over.

I was hoping to get away for this great gtg. I am so eager to see y'all in real life. However, recent events will prevent me (us) from traveling that far. I spent 40 hrs in the hospital last Thurs with suspected heart attack. I'm fine, but have to follow up with other tests, get more exercise and loose weight. And we found a beehive in the wall of the house. They removed 3 hives from inside the bedroom I just had painted. Now we have to wait a week for the poison to work that will keep them from returning. The bees were removed live. So bee proofing and repairs this Fri. I know y'all will have a wonderful time and wish I could be there. Looking forward to pics.

Chris, ye gads!! I really hate hearing you are having heart problems!! I'll be waiting for updates as you go through tests. You deserve a break from all the stress. I was so hoping to see you next week! Take good care of you!!
