Good news

Postby MandysMom » Tue Sep 02, 2014 6:37 pm

Saw doctor today. He said my echo cardiogram was normal. He saw no reason for what happened so I suggested a massive stress reaction and he said that is probably right. No changes to medicine or routine other than he said walk more and lose weight and lower your stress. How helpful......NOT. At least there is nothing wrong with my heart. He never even mentioned the extremely low magnesium but said its fine now. Really??? It was not checked since the iv magnesium was given. But I'll go with that for now as I have been taking magnesium fizz at bedtime for a year, moving on.... See him again in spring. The nurse/ assistant who I have known for years tried over and over and could not hear my BP so went with my Omron wrist cuff I use.
Let's go camping. Or not, tomorrow we see radiation doctor for hubby.

Velda, good to hear it's not your heart. Sending prayers for you and hubby.

Yeah it's a contradiction of terms - go on a diet and lower your stress! And yes I felt a little like somethings were missed. I thought about having the doctor himself try to hear my BP but figured since I am so good about taking it, it's all good. Its a relief to try to move on now and keep mindful of my stress and how I react to things. I did take note that today's weigh in I was 10 lbs lighter than two years ago. That should count for something even if it's not enough yet. Hey I even let hubby drive me there and back and did not yell at Parnelli even once. LOL

Good news Velda! Lots of steps too! ( btw, I'm taking your salad to a family gathering on Sat. Everybody loves it).

Isn't it so nice to get good news.
Way to go on the steps. I have only made 6000 steps once so far but I love my Fitbit (had about 2 months).

Have you tried doing any yoga or meditation for stress relief? Both are very good for that and not hard to learn. Exercise is good too.

Thanks Barbara. I would like to learn yoga, but no place close or convenient. I do go to Curves 3 times a week and hope to get back to my treadmill walking soon as energy permits. I have done both for several years.
