What a fun time, Trudy, and great pictures! Sometimes I do miss the OR coast and all the agates I would pick up. By the way, where are the pics of your polished rocks/stones?? Wasn't it you who got a tumbler?

Thanks for the great pictures!

Trudy ya'll look like your having way to much fun out there. Looks like all of ya enjoyed the visit to the max. Had to be way kool to have Jodi and the kids there so you could show them around.

I know that you will be sad to leave the beach and coast. But when do you have to head inland towards Wisconsin? Are ya ready for the heat and skeeters???

Hmmm That's something I have to ask Sparkle about. I wonder what the skeeters are like in AZ where the lodge is. Those nasty, pesky things LOVE ME!!!!!! I might have to be laying down the money for skeeter spray or the little blood sucking vampires with drain me.

Love the pic of that surf and the one with the giant googly eyes!! LOL

I can't remember skeeters at the Lodge, so I guess there aren't too many. Lots of mice though. You'll have to keep your eyes open for the Kaibab Squirrel. They are unique to that area. They are as big as a good size cat. Dark brown fur, tufted ears and an enormous fluffy pure white tail. There are supposed to be only 200 of them, but I see them everytime I'm there. Lots of deer too, they come traipsing right through the Rv's and cabins. Watch your driving, especially if you are out at dusk.

Soosie, the rocks have 2 more weeks to go before they're done - it takes a month to do a full polish. I did have to change the "grit" today and they''re starting to look very neat !
I'm really going to miss the beach, but it does feel like it's almost time to go - I'm just waiting for the snow in the mountains to go aways, or at least settle down a bit :D
Echo - I'm not looking forward to the skeeters !! I really hate those buggers and the humidity in the Midwest is awful, but it's been home for my whole life, so I'm sort of used to it. Maybe next year I can find a way to stay here in the spring/summer months !!

Trudy,
It's great that your sister and kids were able to come visit you. Since I started traveling most of my family and friends expect me to come there. So it was a treat when my sis and her husband came to visit me when I was in PA. And since I've been in TX, many friends have come down to the beach. I guess it all depends on where we settle for awhile :) The beach really is a great attraction!

I have thought about going to WI for a season - but having lived there - would probably pick an area I haven't been - am thinking about MI - along the shores of Lake Michigan for some summer. Not too far to visit family and friends back in IL and WI either before or after.

Enjoy your stay in WI.

Echo,
Skeeters don't much like the high, cooler elevations - at least not usually. You should be good. They like the heat and humidity.

Hey Trudy, You have a very nice looking family there. I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves. The pictures are great, makes me miss the beach even if it is a little cool yet. Thanks for sharing.

Trudy, I'm so glad you had such a good time with your family. I have loved viewing your ocean pictures. They sure make me wish I could be there though.
I'm going to miss those pictures when you move on. You always seem to do such interesting things though, so am looking forward to seeing what you find in WI.

Thanks for the pics
