Barbie - did you ever contact the AMA about the doctor? They shouldn't ignore family, next of kin questions, especially if you are in the examining room. Maybe the doctor should stop practicing. He may be having senior issues also.

Baarbie, I think it would be a good idea too if you haven't already contacted them. He does sound as though he has issues!

Nikki hope you guys have fun in Boise! Bet I met the lady you are talking about. She is just shy of her doctorate and schooled in LA. They have two dogs, one a fluffy and one serious! That is a quiet park and I liked that part along with the
PA rate!

I head east to do laundry, dump and take on more fresh water in the morning. Another hug to Olive. Be safe and happy travels.

Hi everyone! It's definitely been a while since I have posted on the Campfire. I have been trying to catch up on everyone through the MC.

Barbara, it sure would be easier for you all if that doctor would retire since your Dad likes him so well. I went through a tough time with our family doctor when Chuck started having strokes. Our doctor and Chuck wanted to spend his appointment time talking tractors and cattle. It took me months to convince the doctor there was something happening with Chuck. When I finally convinced him to go back and read Chuck's file and what we had been coming to see him about, he had one of those OMG moments where he realized he was too close to Chuck and started apologizing over and over again. I finally talked Chuck into seeing a different doctor, but by then it was too late. The damage had already been done and no PT after the strokes. Luckily his strokes were not completely debilitating. Stay after your Dad's doctor. You may have to get in his face to make him listen to you.

I am settled in my new home site in Weeki Wachee, FL. I really like it here. From here, I can drive up to see Irmi and Steve when they get back to their winter CG. I also plan on spending time with Sarah (Bluepinecones) when she gets back down this way. That will be so much fun to see them all again along with any others in the area.

Working so many hours in the extreme heat and cold as a camp host in OK has caused me to start having problems with my MS again. I am going to have to stay put and get my health back in order. LOL, you were right, Beth. Way too many hours were required to get the job done at the state park I was working at. I sure did not want to tell you we were working anywhere between 40-60 hours a week for a site only.

Luckily, I have found a park with reasonable year round rates and I get to fix my site up with plantings, etc. I have even put in a patio pond. I would love to GTG with anyone traveling in this area. If you need a good park, the sites by me are mostly for people who are not long term. Hint, hint Sarah. You and Magic could possibly be parked right next to me.

Barbie - I agree with the others about the doctor situation. I often wonder if I had been more insistent with doctors they might have found sister's problem in time to save her.

Dawn: So glad you are happy with your new location. I do intend to try to get that site next to you while in FL. Sorry, I don't know dates yet.

Dawn, I knew what you were doing and when you kept staying decided you were doing it from choice. So glad you're going to take care of your health now, so much more important.

Speaking of health, I hurt my elbow this summer and the doctor this week started me wearing a brace. Now I have to seriously consider my job after this one. I need the money, but I don't know if this can get better if I don't rest it some. Decisions, decisions. Need to make it soon because if I'm going to back out of that commitment, want to do it while they still have some time to find someone else.

Beth, just like you advised me, your health is the most important thing. Maybe if you just rest it for a month or so, you can get back to doing what you normally do. Maybe you can just take the time from now until your next gig. Do you already have a place to go to for the winter season?

Can't rest this month, need to finish out this gig. That's why I might back out of the next one. Winter will be Boondocking mostly in Arizona.

Beth, I agree, don't push your body and mess yourself up , you're a young woman yet, you sure want to enjoy, so give it a good rest and then continue on. Good luck with the choice you make.

Barbie, I agree about the dr situation, almost sounds to me like dr might have more problems then your Dad. I had to deal with many through the years for both parents and never had one to refuse to listen or answer questions. Actually it helps them to know what might really be happening with their patient. Older people have a tendency to not tell all. I don't envy you and your brothers, a parent you love, but you sure don't need an obstinate dr too !!!!

Sarah, please don't do the "what if", only hurts you. Once in awhile it pops into my head when I see these ads for cancer centers, wish they had been established when we needed them. Latter part of my first yr alone they started up in larger towns. By the third yr they had one started in Chattanooga..First couple of yrs when I saw those ads I was a mess, so try not to go there.

I've missed a lot on this thread, must try to keep up with it too. See you've just posted Beth, take care the best you can, be thinking about you.

At least there is not much left to this month. Try to take off work as soon as you can. I think a winter of boondocking would be just what any doctor would order.

so I have a question tonight when does one stop putting money in the money pit?
in my case the truck now it needs a computer chip!!! what else can go wrong with it?
the other is I'm so teck illiterate that I don't know how to find out what it would cost to get
the 5th wheel from point A stop in point B and end up in point C or at the very least from point B
which is SLC think I can get it to there (my brother has a truck that has towed it)
the new chips cost 2000 so my nephew is looking for a used one so far hasn't had a lot of luck
just not a happy camper right now!!!
sheila

oh forgot Beth take care of the arm and hopefully we will see you this winter in AZ

Oh, Sheila, I'm feeling your pain. That's pretty much why I decided to get out of my old rv this past winter. It wasn't yet costing me a lot, but it was going to start. Too many things needed work of a kind I couldn't do. In your case, what does your son say about the truck if it gets this chip? Will he feel it's safe then and that the money pit won't continue? Or are there other things that might start going, too?

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you that I can while in AZ - and Karen, if you head out, we'll find a place to gtg - I doubt I'll spend all my time in any one place - but will dance around a bit.
