Wednesday the middle of the week ..Morning all..and I lost my dang post..all that work...and it's color me gone...HELP...I'm brain fried already... LOL it was a good one too...just got on a roll...ooooooooh no use crying over spilt Milk is there..well I'll attempt a quick recap cause I didn't save this morning...DRATS !!!

Birdbybird (Tina) took us down memory lane..and it was great too..cause I had a dream about when I was a kid and going to see the Alan Freed Rock N Roll show at the RKO in Brooklyn, NY...it was wonderful then and again last night...Great Music...great time of my life...Thanks Tina...

Sharon done posted her great Adventurous time..and yep, Sharon I wouldn't expect anything less from ya...You truly live on the High side of life...and that fits you too...Loved seeing it.. and I can only imagine the excitment...

Oh Lucy needs our prayers..and we all know how that goes..Lucy..you have all our support and we are here for ya too !

Kelpie (Kelly) went back to Texas for more fun...Yep she's joined Retired Happy (Karen) Sparkle (Jean) is on her way and so is Beth..and our newbie Birdie (Nancy) we know you will all have a wonderful time...please, please take pictures ya hear !!

RVGranny (Lori and Ernie) are trucking to Florida and heading for the Keys..have a great time and maybe just maybe I might get to wave as they go by LOL

Echo and Kelly are heading out on vacation.. You two..check in let's hear where ya are..and have FUN..

Fernie, we is sure praying that all will go well for you and your Sister..May the light shine on her and hope that she may decide to go into assisted living..she really needs that help ..Keep us posted Fernie

Nasoosie (Soos) I hear ya on all those phenomenons..I always felt the same way too..but here I am in frigid cold Florida..for the winter which seems to have followed me down..brrrrrrrr we go from 82 to 32 gosh..now soon you'll be heading down...join the fun..LOL..the more the merrier..

Cedar sure hope your school wins.. I know you is enjoying the excitment..and all they yelling that fills the arena...wooooo hoooooo..

Ok, I'm now tired and ready to get under that electric blanket..aaaah that's gonna feel good...and yeppers... I've got my table set again..

Coffee pot is perking..and Kettle is whistling..aaaaaaah and got lots of donut holes..powdered sugar and cinnamon too..have some banana nut bread and also some cranberry...please help yourself..enjoy and tell us what's happening with ya all...

Good frigid morning to you all!

At -16F. here now (it's dropping as I sit here, typing!) it feels more like January than March! My woodfire sure does feel good, and Molly hasn't left her fireside bed since she came in from a fast outing this morning!

I hope all of you on the roads here in the east will be getting into a warming trend, soon! In the meantime, watch for icy conditions early in the mornings.

I am envious of your warm bed, Barb! Sure would love to call in sick today and crawl back for some warmth and dreams until about noon!

Next week, after that horrid time change to daylight savings (HAHAHAHAHAHA----have to laugh at that, as it will be pitch DARK up here again when I leave for school!) this is the time I will be going out the door. Not ONE SPECK of daylight out there! That horrible deal of messing with the time burns me up EVERY year when they do it. It has just now gotten to where I don't need a flashlight to get from my house to the truck without breaking my neck! AND, it stays light anyway now, until nearly 6:00 each night......why make all the kids who walk to school and wait for buses, and the rest of us working people go back into the cold dark times again?? Nobody is outside up here after 5:00 pm anyway at this time of year, so this earlier so-called 'daylight savings' thing is absolutely assinine for us! SNARL!!!

I considered starting a petition to send to our governor to get him to NOT do the daylight savings thing for us in NY State. I think we should join AZ and Hawaii who don't do it. Or to at least wait for the old time of April to begin it to allow the mornings to get lighter before implementing it. (And considered is probably all I'll do, as I don't have the ambition I used to have to follow through on stuff like that. But I can still grumble about it.)

We're awake, getting our motors going to hit the road for the last leg of our trip this week.....We should be in Cedar Key by this afternoon.....Cedar Key is located on the Gulf just north of Tampa.....New place, new experience.....meeting old friends for a weekend visit....

Looks like Ernie's done with the hot water, so it's my turn...geez, I hate the "bed head" hair-do.... Got to wash it before someone sees it....

Good news,.. our varsity basketball teams both advanced to the NY Section 7 finals. Way to go Eagles! So I'll be traveling to games again both Friday and Saturday.

We're enjoying a great sunny day here,... one day closer to spring!

Good morning!

At the rate I'm pulling my hair out, I won't have to worry about bed-head much longer. The carpet people have come and gone by 9:30 this morning, and all that's left is for the handyman to come back and put on the baseboard, then one more inspection by the city. Do you think he's coming today to do the baseboard? You'd think he'd be as anxious to get done (and be paid) as I am. But, noooo, not until tomorrow. Then it'll probably be another day before the inspection can be scheduled. Grrr. I'm sorry, I'll sweep up the hair.

Gooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Well we're here in NY. Missed my friend Laura this morning, called her to let her know that we were in Mansfield PA at about 6am this morn. Talked a few minutes then she had to finish getting ready for work she leaves the house at 6:30am to get in by 7. So now I'm sitting at the kitchen table swilling coffee and Kelly is sleeping. We left the house a little after 7pm yesterday and got here sometime between 7 and 8am. Not bad time really. Stopped in VA for supper and other than stops for gas we came right up thru. Dang I forgot to look at the trip mileage, Poo!!! I'll have to catch it later. Kelly and I split the driving up. I started out and made it 2/3 of the way thru VA and then she took over and I crawled into the back seat and caught a big ol'nap! Then like 27 miles from Elmira her eyeballs got super heavy and she started shaking her head so I took back over. She was really bummed out that I made her give up driving as she wanted to finish the drive into Elmira. She's sleeping now. I'm gonna take a shower and get her up at noon so we can go visit some other friends.

Boy talk about temps dropping. Started out in TN at about 30f and hitting Elmira NY it was 8f. At one point the thermometer in the Blazer said it was 6f. Brrrrrrr I know for sure that it was freaking cold when we stopped for gas and potty breaks for us and Shade. They gots snow up here!!! Probably about 4" or more. Shade loves it. Buries her head in it and runs along plowing furrows in the snow. Then of course she has to roll in it and take snow baths. Silly dog!!!! Shade and Laura's dog Bax are getting along pretty good. As soon as Bax learns that Shade is the Queen of the roost things will get quieter. It doesn't matter if this is his house or not of course. Bax wants to play and Shade keeps giving him what for! A little longer and the two of them will be tearing it up!!

Left the house in TN in pretty good shape. Not one dirty dish to be seen. If I get home and have a bunch of dirty dishes waiting for me the sheetz is gonna hit the fan. Floors were all done and I had found 7/8ths of the kitchen table. The one thing 'I' didn't do was clean out the fridge and it needs it. Kelly cleaned the bathroom best she could as the kids had a mountain of laundry sorted out all over the place. Plus she cleaned up in the living room. Altho David did tell Kelly to make sure her stuff was all picked up and in her room, that he was gonna be doing some cleaning. HooooooRay!!!! ???hmmmm??? We shall see. I did let him know that the landlord was gonna advertise the house for rent and would be letting us know if someone wanted to see it and that I would really appreciate the help picking up and keeping it clean.

I did find out this morning when I talked to Laura that our favorite hot dog restaurant has closed down. Ever since we made the plans to come to NY on vacation our mouths have been watering for M & M hot dogs. OMG!!! Laura told me of another place that has opened up so we will go try there. We will have to keep our fingers crossed. I hate change like this!!! M & M Hots has been a fixture in this town since before I was born. I have no idea what happened? Maybe the economy got them too? She said they closed about 7 months ago.

Ok, time to go get my travel weary butt into the shower.
