Out of Florida

Well it ain't Out of Africa, but I'm moving. I had to check Mexico Beach and see if the Surf met my approval. Much better, I've seen it more tempestuous, but this is acceptable, still no shells though. For those I've directions to, the bar on the other side of the street (for reference only, I'm not suggesting you can only park near bars) its called the Lookout Lounge. I think I said it was the Lighthouse. Anyway, paved parking next to the Beach, and that end of the beach allows dogs. It was as deserted as ever.

For Second Breakfast I stopped at Ochlockonee Bay. Beautiful! I took Bogie for a walk through the woods with Spanish Moss swaying in the chilly breeze.

I so want to be on your beach. I am sitting here watching the 6:30 National News - weather report and all the pictures of the snow storm on the East Coast.....At least I am not there. Thanks for keeping us informed....we all need to keep our "lists" updated for our dream trips.....

Sparkle welcome back to Florida, hope to see you on your trip here. But be careful on those beaches, the tides do come in here.

really pretty Sparkles.....you do choose them well. I still want to go to the campground you found where they either had the white peacock or took you to see them.

Sheila, that was in Houma, Louisiana. I'll be in Louisi tomorrow. I'm taking 90 all the way across. Its a bit of a hassle, because every time we get to a major town it joins onto I-10 and I have to keep my eyes peeled for my turn off. However I'm just before Biloxi and I think I've passed most of the big cities where it does that. Its beautiful weather, lovely and warm. I had to stop and change clothes into summer ones again.
I think I'll post a pic of the peacock, some people won't have seen it. Here 'tiz

Great pictures Sparkle! When do you go back up to the zoo to work? And which way are you going? Are you going anywhere near Ca, say like Az or Nev area??

As usual, the photos are wonderful! I do hope to see that beach next fall or early next year if you come back this way. Where was the white peacock? Have a safe trip and keep us posted on your where abouts.
