Beautiful Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Beautiful Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jul 10, 2014 7:11 am

Good Morning,

Been AWOL from here for a few days, so thought I would stop in and say hi. Just finished some poached eggs, bacon and fresh Michigan strawberries. Have more, so come on over :) The cool weather we are experiencing this year has made for nice juicy sweet strawberries.

Been busy around here doing odds and ends. Nothing earth shattering, pretty much same old. Did some work on my TT the past couple of days, adding some screws and a little more framing to my dinette seat backs. Want to install another florescent light over the dinette as well, so may do that later today. Otherwise, no other changes in the works at the moment. Watching the state park reservation system to see if I can grab a site at some of my favorite parks for the coming weeks. There are sites, but not where I want to be. Am leaving next Monday for the U.P. again, this time staying at Maple Ridge Resort. Will work on making reservations over the next week or so, for the month of August. Summer is going and not a lot of time left for camping up in this neck of the woods. August and Sept and that's it.

Ava, keeping fingers crossed that your test today turns out to be good news. Kathleen, sorry about the toe. Hoope it heals fast for you. Anita, sorry about your cousin, but at least she passed away knowing she was loved. Hope the flooding in AK doesn't get in your way of having fun out there.

Time to be off, get the dishes done, bed made etc. Not sure what's on agenda for today, but whatever it is, it will be fun anyway, work or not. Have a wonderful day all.

Good Morning, Beautiful looking day outside here too, afternoon hours that will change though. Chases us out of the pool, so in a matter of speaking you could say, Mother nature is helping me with my babysitting skills   and boy do I need help, more energy at end of day would sure be a plus

Looking for another repair person this morning, seems I do a lot of that and just waiting and waiting between their time period is really getting old. Tomorrow, have a Dr visit, this new dr down here HAS to see me twice a year, OR he can't give me BP meds. I've always got them for the year, not really clear why he can't , he says he'd loose his lic. Wondering how the other Fl people do it ? My NC dr, closed his, close to me, office. Sure hate changing drs, and this twice a yr stuff is really messing up my travel plans, another problem needs fixing.

I'd better get dressed for the day, coffee is gone and if I don't change soon, guy will catch me almost nakid and I'd sure hate to ruin his day !!!

Wishing you all a really good day, please stay safe,
CArol :)

good morning :D
well, today is the day they cut into my elbow, not looking forward to it but need to know the outcome of course.
We're having a cloudy humid morning but I like it. Suppose to be cloudy all day with a chance of rain, that would
be nice.
Gotta jump in the shower, wash my hair and decide what I'm going to wear today. Ya'll have a great day.

Good morning Donna,CArol, Ava and all that follow,

Not a good morning here; my mother is in the hospital. Don't know what's wrong yet and I have yet to speak with a Dr. but my brother is there and is handling things which is good. Near as we can figure out it's depression that's seems to be out of control. Of course, she's NOT depressed, ok I won't go there....

My good DH cooked us a nice breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast and called me when it was ready to eat. I sure appreciated his efforts cuz I know with this crazy day ahead I'm going to need all the energy I can get. This week's schedule is overbooked and now with my mother in the hospital it just got fuller.

Ava, you are in my thoughts and prayers today. I hope it all turns out to be ok.

Donna, I work better in sunshine too. Just feels like you want to be out and about, doesn't it?

CArol, my DH's dr. is the same way, someone told me it was a new way for them to make up the difference in $ that they don't get paid by the insurance comp. anymore.

Going now, need to get stuff done here and head up to hosp.

Carol... I'm wondering if the doctors nowadays
do things like that to get more money out of Medicare or insurance
one time I went to a doctor.... and he charge me a fee for something that I didn't go to him for
and then he tried to get me to pay what the insurance wouldn't pay... well I would not pay
told them that it sounded a little bit like insurance fraud to me.... and I never heard a word after that about. It

Kathy hope your mom feels better soon... I can understand about depression... it takes over us and we do not know where it came from...
Ava know it is hard to wait... now they will have to test to see what is going on...
Sure hope you got your clothes on before the repairman came CArol...
Have a good day and smile often...

Just getting under the noon wire here again!
Sunny and warm today. Have the day off. I got a lot done yesterday with bills, phone calls, etc, but nothing done around here. Today will be for cleaning, unpacking, etc.

Bought a new Tracfone yesterday. I have had one with a pull-out keyboard for texting, but it kept butt-dialing people and changing all my settings while it was in my purse or pocket, so decided to go back to the flip-phone again. Makes it harder for texting without the keyboard, but I really don't do much of that anyways. I would rather talk to people than text. Much better for me to have the flip phone again, and it is smaller and lighter. Only cost me $5 at Walgreens, and I have a ton of minutes built up already, so didn't need to buy more.

Gonna get something to eat and then start on the bathroom. Will be nice to get that organized and decorated! Can barely find the toilet with all the boxes in there!

Have a good day! :D Will be thinking of you Ava! Good luck!

Still morning here in Idaho. I'm settled in my NF cg, and going to see Sheila in a few minutes.

That nice county cg I stayed in last night gave me a cold shower this morning. As I was outside unhooking the hose, their sprinklers turned on. Six sprinkler heads down both sides of the RV full blast toward the RV! I was drenched to the skin. Thistle didn't want to come out the door for his walk. Finally got everything unhooked, Thistle walked, dried us both off, changed clothes including shoes, and left. Don't think I'll stay there again. I heard another lady in the cg scream when they came on. She was outside in her bathrobe with her dog.

So far I'm the only one in this cg, but I see two other sites are reserved, so expect company when I get back.

Thinking of you, Ava.

Carol, my dr. Used to have me come 4 times a year for check ups. When I went full time, I told him I'd be there once a year. If he had not been willing to prescribe a year's worth of refills, I would have looked for a doctor that would.

Oh, Liz, I would not have been happy - but I'm sitting here chuckling at the thought of it happening. I hope you said something to someone. That's just not right.

And CArol, I agree with what Liz said - either the doctor comes around, or you go looking for another doctor. I do know some folks that spent 1/2 a year in TX - had a doctor north, and another south. Their "home" doctor up north got in a tizzy when he discovered they were getting their 2nd 6 months by going to a doctor down south and switched them to annual.

Sorry Liz, but I'm laughing my head off here !!!! That was funny to me, but then I'm setting here reading about it, if it had happened to me probably would have screamed louder then the other lady  :o

Right now can't do a thing about dr situation, totally dependent on DD for transportation, running out of BP meds, gotta have , so will go get 6 months prescrip. And THEN ?????????? This dr won't budge, my DD says it might be hospital ass. He is with. I'll get it fixed somehow to better suit me.

Know you were miserable wet, but laughing was all I could do, no sympathy anywhere

Hi to Sheila, have fun together,
CArol :)

Just saw your post Beth, agree with both of you, but right now biding my time

I remember a 4th of July in California when a bunch of us were sitting around on the back lawn of our apartment complex waiting for the fireworks to start at the ballfield across the canal. All of a sudden the sprinklers came on and everyone went running! I was standing on the sidewalk laughing, when the sprinkler right in front of me suddenly came on, soaking me too! :o

At least it is just water, but still can be very cold and shocking  when you aren't expecting it!

A little late for MC, but once at a nighttime visit to a client's home her dogs and I were out in the back yard when her sprinklers came on! You never saw one woman and 2 dogs run so fast! LOL

Sorry, Liz but I'm laughing with the others also. I do hope you at least suggested they warn campers about sprinkler times in the future.

CArol, my doctor started insisting on semi annual visits last year. Hard to find another doctor here because so many either have closed practices or do not accept Medicare.
