Simmering Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Simmering Sunday

Postby dayspring39 » Sun Jul 06, 2014 7:49 am

We have had such wonderful days here... rains during the night and 70s to low 80s days... that will break today when we hit summer time 90s... Glad me and my Shadow went away yesterday and he ran and played at the dog park... won't be doing that today...
Broke my toe... better than the almost fall... guess I need a straight jacket!
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Sunday and Rains coming

Postby Colliemom » Sun Jul 06, 2014 8:01 am

Good Morning from the 45th,

Finally rolled out of the sack around here and Sassy has taken care of her morning business, had her medicines and is back in her bed now. Poor baby doesn't have much life these days now that we are home from our trip north two weeks ago. Well, all she has to do is wait till next week and we are off again. I'm ready too.

Guess there's rain and maybe storms heading this way later today, tonight and next day or two That's okay, we need the moisture. With the sandy soil here, doesn't take long for things to dry out when it's warm.

Not much doing here today. Load of wash is in dryer, need to start getting stuff organized for trip north etc. Heading to town later to pick up a few things from store that was used up while company was here.

Sounds like most of you had a nice 4th of July. Few fireworks shot off around here again last night, but nothing big, and didn't last long. Making noise more than anything else. As much as I miss Tessa, I'm glad she's not around this holiday as she would have been going nuts with all the noise the other night. Sassy being deaf now and not one to pay much attention to it anyway, was fine.

Irmi, I don't think I am going to buy the neighbors house. I was over there last night sitting on the deck looking out over the little lagoon there and decided that it's too closed in for me. Those who have seen my home know that I have a very large yard and am back from our road here, plus can watch people and cars going by. Over there are homes on both sides plus across the little lagoon and there really isn't much water area, as it's just a little canal coming in off the main small lake. So I kind of felt claustrophobic and think it might get boring with nothing going on. I can do better, so will bide time for a while. I like the neighbors house next door better in that regard. This upcoming trip back to the U.P. will tell me if I want to stay up there or not I think. But new neighbor next door is also an impetus to stay put as we are getting to be good friends and for me, somebody who loves to run around and see places etc. Since she is from NY and has never been to MI other than to move here, the sky's the limit for exploring and I can show her lots of it. :)

Okay, off to take bath, wash hair and get this Sunday morning moving. A wonderful and Blessed day to you all.

Good Morning All, Kinda muggy here too! Sorry about the toe Kathleen.,.that sounds sore! Quiet day around here yesterday after the big activities of the 4th. Seems like today will be a quiet one also. The thunderheads over the mountains are magnificent!!! Sue, interesting info about your "house hunting". It's nice you got to sit on the porch before deciding anything.

Good morning from the OR gtg. Turning my steering wheel right this morning and starting my trip to the East coast. Looking forward to seeing some of you in my path along the way.

Good morning,

Normally just skim read through here but will say hello this morning. Sorry about your toe Kathleen. Well my timing is good as always, GM finally shutdown for the holiday but started it on the 4th, so my timing was off by a week  (Tried to time trip to PA to end in GM's shutdown for a longer vacation.) We enjoyed meeting Sharon (othersharon).

Sipping my coffee, watching others pack up from the weekend. Chezza and Phoenix are still asleep, so it's quiet ;) We are in no rush as I now have this week off :D Can't wait until I can just travel and not worry about work. "Rumor mill" says another shutdown in September (4-6 weeks) to do an EPA upgrade to paint department so we may have plenty of time to leisurely attend the KC gtg.

Wishing everyone save travels.

Good morning and happy Sunday to everyone!
Got a steroid shot and start the script tomorrow for the poison oak, already doing better with the shot. It's going to be a lazy day of cleaning house and studying.

Kathleen, that is not fun when you hurt your toe, hopefully soon it will be okay. Sounds like a good movie day for you and Shadow.

Safe travels to everyone on the road

Sorry to see the last of the "sistahs" pull out this morning. Sure did enjoy them. Safe travels to Liz, Birdie, and Nikki. Laura and I are just vegging out this morning watching everyone head out and some newbies come in. We will be leaving on Wednesday...back to reality. It was great fun. Hope to do it again soon
